Morris Army Airfield

Fort Gillem was a United States Army Post located in Forest Park, Georgia, on the southeast edge of Atlanta in Clayton County. Founded in 1941, it was a satellite installation of nearby Fort McPherson. The base housed different supply and support units, including the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Laboratory and the 3rd MP Group (CID), both units of the United States Army Criminal Investigation Command. It employed 456 active duty personnel, 1,663 Army reservist, and 1,667 civilians. In 1973, its 1,465 acres (5.93 km2) were annexed by Forest Park. The fort was named in the memory of Lieutenant General Alvan Cullom Gillem, Jr.

The Atlanta Exposition Centers (AEC) are a pair of convention centers located in Atlanta. The centers are located at 3650 and 3850 Jonesboro Road, at the intersection of Jonesboro Road and Interstate 285.The exposition centers consist of a north building, with 161,000 square feet (15,000 m2) of meeting space, and a south building, with 211,000 square feet (19,600 m2) of space. The centers host a number of events, including antique markets, dog shows, and the Atlanta Build, Remodel & Landscape Expo.

Conley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Clayton County, Georgia, United States. It is at Atlanta’s southeast corner, 7.98 miles from downtown. The population was 6,680 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area.

Forest Park High School is a four-year public high school located in Forest Park, Georgia, United States. It is part of Clayton County Public Schools. Middle schools generally associated with Forest Park High School are Forest Park Middle and Babb Middle. Forest Park High School, one of Clayton County Public Schools oldest high schools, was established in 1928.

Reynolds Nature Preserve is a 146-acre (59 ha) tract of protected forest located in Morrow, Georgia, United States. The nature preserve is owned and operated by Clayton County Parks and Recreation. The park has three miles (5 km) of hiking trails, a Civil War era farm, native plants path, heritage garden, wildlife ponds, native azaleas, a wildflower field, and an interpretive center.

The Georgia Archives is the official repository of archival records for the U.S. state of Georgia. Together with the Georgia Capitol Museum it forms the Georgia Division of Archives and History, part of the office of the Secretary of State of Georgia. It is located in Morrow, Georgia, United States. The primary purpose of the Georgia Archives is to identify which state agency records are worth preserving for hundreds of years, transfer those records to the archives, protect them, and make them available to people who need them. In addition, the archives helps state agencies and local governments manage active records and stores the inactive records of state government in the State Records Center.

Forest Park is a city in Clayton County, Georgia, United States. It is located approximately nine miles (14 km) south of Atlanta and is part of the Atlanta–Sandy Springs–Marietta Metropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 19,932.

Eastern Air Lines Flight 21, registration NC28394, was a Douglas DC-3 aircraft that crashed while preparing to land at Candler Field (now Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport) in Atlanta, Georgia, on February 26, 1941. Eight of the 16 on board were killed, including Maryland Congressman William D. Byron. Among the injured was Eastern Air Lines president and World War I hero Eddie Rickenbacker.

Clayton State University is a public university in Morrow, Georgia. It serves Metro Atlanta and is a selective Senior Unit of the University System of Georgia. The main campus includes 192 acres (0.78 km2) of wooded grounds, featuring five lakes and a park-like atmosphere. Located in the north-central part of Clayton County in suburban south metro Atlanta, the main campus is a fifteen-minute drive from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and about twenty minutes from downtown Atlanta. Clayton State also maintains a separate Fayette County instructional site in Peachtree City and offers additional instruction at locations in Jonesboro in Clayton County and McDonough in Henry County.Upon opening in 1991, Clayton State's Spivey Hall began presenting jazz, classical music and other musical entertainment. It has since developed into one of the premiere chamber music venues in the Atlanta metropolitan area and offers more than 400 performances per year. These performances air frequently on Georgia Public Broadcasting.Clayton State basketball, soccer, cross-country, tennis, golf, and track & field programs are a part of Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), competing in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC). In 2011, the Clayton State women's basketball team won the NCAA Division II national championship.

Spivey Hall was built in 1991 on the campus of Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia, near Atlanta, Georgia. Its seating capacity is 492 (476 in the orchestra and 16 box seats). It presents jazz and classical music to the metro Atlanta area. Spivey Hall is home to the Spivey Hall Children's Choir and Spivey Hall Young Artists. The Children's Concert Series won the Abby Award for arts education in Atlanta in 1998. The Hall was the inspiration of Emilie Parmalee Spivey and Walter Boone Spivey, a wealthy real estate developer couple in the Atlanta area. The Walter & Emilie Spivey Foundation donated $2.5 million to the construction which began in November 1988 (total cost $4.5 million). Though intimately involved in the planning, Walter did not live to see the groundbreaking, and Emilie died soon after. The visual centerpiece of Spivey's design is the Albert Schweitzer Memorial Organ, a 79-rank, 3-manual, 4,413-pipe organ, built and installed by Fratelli Ruffatti of Padua, Italy. The creation of this organ was the subject of a PBS special. The majority of Spivey's finishes were designed to be acoustically reflective, in an effort to preserve the sound within and prolong its reverberation.Owing to frequent appearances on National Public Radio's "Performance Today," the hall has earned a national reputation while also reaching an international audience through artist word-of-mouth and exposure in such publications as BBC Music Magazine and International Arts Manager.

Morrow High School is the easternmost secondary school in Clayton County, Georgia, United States. Part of Clayton County Public Schools; it is located in Ellenwood at 4930 Steele Road. The school's teams are known as the Mustangs. Middle schools generally associated with Morrow High are Morrow Middle School, Adamson Middle School and Rex Mill Middle School. Clayton State University is the nearest post-secondary school, though some college-bound students enroll at the University of Georgia, Georgia Southern University, University of West Georgia, Georgia Gwinnett College and Georgia State University. Recent students have also attended Stanford University, Duke University, Yale University, Brown University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Georgia Institute of Technology, Savannah School of Art and Design, and Morehouse College. In 2022, The new Morrow High School $80 million campus was recently completed just east of the current location with a brand new district stadium and basketball arena. It will be the largest and most expensive school built in Clayton County Schools.
