Villefranque or Milafranga is a railway station in Villefranque, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The station was opened in 1891 and is located on the Bayonne - Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port railway line. The station is served by TER (local) services operated by the SNCF.

Château d'Urdain is located on the Bayonne–Ustaritz road close to the west bank of the river Nive. It was built in the early 19th century and was the home of Dominique Joseph Garat a French writer and revolutionary politician who was for a time Minister of Justice.The Château, known to British troops as "Garat's House", was occupied by British soldiers during Wellington's advance into France in late 1813 while the nearby Urdain brook (a western tributary of the Nieve) was the front line.

The Castle of Marracq (French: château de Marracq) is a ruined 18th-century castle in Bayonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France. It has been an official Historical Monument since September 27, 1907. Since 2012, the ruins have been under renovation because of intense erosion, due to the lack of roof, that caused a risk of collapsing. The walls have been cleansed, the stones and keystones have been repaired or replaced.

Stade Jean-Dauger (Basque: Jean Dauger estadioa) is a multi-purpose stadium in Bayonne, France. It is currently used mostly for rugby union matches and is the home stadium of Aviron Bayonnais. After a renovation project completed in 2009, the stadium can hold 14,370 spectators. The stadium is named after the late Jean Dauger, former rugby union and league player who played for Aviron Bayonnais. It hosted the match between Canada and Fiji during the 1991 Rugby World Cup. Canada won the match 13–3. In July 2011 the stadium hosted all four matches of the Kopa Baiona. It was a friendly football tournament involving Olympique de Marseille, FC Girondins de Bordeaux, Udinese Calcio and Real Betis. It was won by Udinese Calcio.

St. Andrew's Church is a neo-Gothic Roman Catholic parish church in central Bayonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France. It is dedicated to saint Andrew the Apostle.

The Monbar Hotel attack was carried out by the Grupos Antiterroristas de Liberación (GAL), a Spanish state-sponsored death squad, on 25 September 1985 in Bayonne, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, France. The targets were four members of the Basque separatist terrorist group Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (ETA), whom the Spanish government believed to be senior figures in the organization, itself proscribed as a terrorist group in Spain and France. All four people were killed, with a fifth person, apparently unconnected to ETA, injured in the shooting. This represented the deadliest attack carried out by the GAL. Although two of the participants were apprehended shortly after the shooting, controversy surrounded the possible involvement of senior figures in the Spanish police. This attack, and similar attacks carried out by the GAL, became a major issue during the 1996 Spanish general election after a supreme court trial established that the Spanish Interior Ministry had provided clandestine funding for the GAL. Spanish Interior Minister José Barrionuevo and his security chief, Rafael Vera, were jailed for ten years for sanctioning a kidnapping and misappropriation of public funds to finance the group, and the GAL scandal is seen as a key factor in the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) losing the election, though more senior figures in the PSOE, such as Felipe Gonzalez, denied knowledge and involvement.

The Musée Bonnat-Helleu is an art museum in Bayonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. The museum was created in 1901 when Bayonne-born painter Léon Bonnat gave his extensive personal collections of art – notably an exceptional drawing collection – as well as many of his paintings to the City of Bayonne. Subsequent donors enriched the collections of the Bonnat Museum with major gifts in 1936, 1989, 1997 and 2010, making its holdings one of the largest collections of art in southern France. The "Helleu" in its name refers to Paul César Helleu. The museum owns 181 works by Helleu, from a gift in 1989 and then a legacy in 2010 from Paulette Howard-Johnston, daughter of Helleu, and a legacy in 1997 from Ghislaine de Kermaingant.The Museum has been closed to the public for extensive renovation since April 2011. An architectural project intended to double the size of the museum will begin in early 2018, with the objective of opening the museum in 2025.
