John Wood Community College (JWCC) is a public community college in Quincy, Illinois. It is one of 48, two-year, open-admission colleges of the Illinois Community College System organized under the Illinois Public Community College Act.

Quincy National Cemetery is a small United States National Cemetery located in the city of Quincy, in Adams County, Illinois. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it encompasses slightly less than a half an acre, and as 2014, had 690 interments. It is currently closed to new interments, and is maintained by Rock Island National Cemetery.

Quincy Senior High School is the regional public high school for Quincy, Illinois. It is the largest high school in Adams County, Illinois, and the only high school in Quincy Public School District 172. As of 2020, it is the 17th largest high school in Illinois by enrollment outside of Chicago.

Quincy Town Center is a highly visible mixed-use development in Quincy, Illinois. It was formerly known as Quincy Mall from 1978 to 2021 and was originally an outdoor complex called the American Legion Miracle Mile Town and Country Shopping Center. The outdoor shopping center opened in 1958. The indoor complex opened November 14, 1978 and the mall's anchor tenants are Slumberland Furniture, Quincy Medical Group, and VIP Cinemas. Both shopping centers were created by Don M. Casto Organization of Columbus, Ohio. In 2006, the mall was purchased by Cullinan Properties.

Hickory Grove is an unincorporated community and Edge city in Ellington Township, Adams County, Illinois, United States. It is situated on the outskirts of the city of Quincy and is part of the Quincy, IL–MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. Hickory Grove is considered to be Quincy's second largest suburb after North Quincy.

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company Building is a historic Coca-Cola bottling plant located at 616 North 24th Street in Quincy, Illinois. The building was constructed in 1940 for the J. J. Flynn Co., Coca-Cola's regional bottling company in Quincy and one of six Coca-Cola bottlers in Illinois. Local architect Martin J. Geise designed the Art Deco building, one of the few examples of Art Deco in an industrial building in Quincy. The building's design features a projecting central entrance with a high roof line, pilasters with terra cotta decorations at the front corners, and brick columns dividing the front windows; the features combine to give the building a strong vertical emphasis, an important Art Deco aesthetic. Some features of the emerging Art Moderne style are present in the building, including a stone string course, a flat overhang covering the entrance, and a flat roof.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 7, 1997.

Quincy station is an Amtrak intercity train station in Quincy, Illinois, United States. The station is one of the namesake stations of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q or Burlington Route), but today serves as the western terminus of Amtrak's Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg trains. It was built in 1985 and was modeled after a former streetcar station of the early 20th Century. Previously, the Illinois Zephyr crossed the Mississippi River and terminated at the former CB&Q station in West Quincy, Missouri after stopping in Quincy; indeed, the Quincy station was built due to West Quincy being frequently cut off by flooding. The decision to build a station on the Illinois side proved to be prescient when the Great Flood of 1993 destroyed the West Quincy station. The city has received $6 million to build a new intermodal terminal closer to downtown. In addition to serving as an Amtrak station, it would become the city's Burlington Trailways station and a transfer hub for Quincy Transit Lines. The location has not been finalized yet, but the planners currently favor a terminal near 2nd/Oak intersection, at the site of the city's original train station. However, the funds would not be enough to cover any new rail, which would limit the planners' options.

The Quincy-Hannibal, IL-MO Combined Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of one county in western Illinois and three counties in northeast Missouri, anchored by the cities of Quincy and Hannibal. As of the 2020 census, the μSA had a population of 75,769.

Melrose Township is one of twenty-two townships in Adams County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 5,748 and it contained 2,375 housing units. The northwestern part of the township has been separated into Quincy Township.

WGCA is a local Christian radio station in Quincy, Illinois broadcasting on 88.5 MHz FM. The station airs a Contemporary Christian music format, and serves the areas of Quincy, Illinois, Hannibal, Missouri, and Keokuk, Iowa.

The Quincy East End Historic District is a residential historic district located on the east side of Quincy, Illinois. The district encompasses 493 contributing buildings built from the 1830s to the 1930s, including representative works of nearly every popular American architectural style during the period. The homes in the district were planned by designers of all skill levels, from local craftsmen to nationally significant architects, and the district developed naturally as formal and vernacular styles rose and fell in popularity. The Italianate and Gothic Revival styles are particularly common in the district. The John Wood Mansion, a Greek Revival home built in 1835 for Quincy's founder, John Wood, is one of the oldest and most significant homes in the district.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1985.

Quincy University (QU) is a private Franciscan university in Quincy, Illinois. It was founded in 1860 and enrolls about 1,100 students.
