Bigelow Neighborhood, also called the Bigelow Historic District, is a historic district located on the eastside of Olympia, Washington. It is located along Olympia Avenue, between East Bay Drive and Tullis Street.

The Bigelow House, also known as the Bigelow House Museum, is a historic house museum located at 918 Glass Avenue Northeast in the Bigelow Neighborhood of Olympia, Washington. Built by Daniel Bigelow in the 1850s, the house was designed in the Carpenter Gothic style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Hale House, also known as the Hale Residence, is located at 902 Tullis St, NE Olympia, Washington. The house is an American Queen Anne style Cottage and was built in 1882 for Captain Calvin Henry Hale and Pamela Case Hale. The house was placed on the National Register of Historic Places January 12, 1984.

Yashiro Japanese Garden is a Japanese garden located in Olympia, Washington, United States. Designed by Robert Murase and dedicated on May 6, 1990, the garden was created to symbolize the relationship between Olympia and its sister city of Yashiro, Japan.

Indian Creek is a stream in Thurston County in the U.S. state of Washington. It is a 3-mile Olympian creek. Its source is a wetland along the northern end of South Bay Road. It enters Budd Inlet at East Bay, having first joined with Moxlie Creek. It can most easily be accessed between Boulevard Road and Frederick Road along the Karen Fraser Woodland Trail. American Indian settlements near the creek's course may account for the name.Runoff from Interstate-5 is treated at a stormwater facility before entering the creek. Fecal coliform bacteria have been detected in unsafe levels in the creek.

Moxlie Creek is a stream in Thurston County in the U.S. state of Washington. It is an Olympian creek originating from artesian springs in Watershed Park. It flows north into the East Bay of Budd Inlet. The creek is piped underground between East Bay and the headwaters, more than one third of its 1.8 mile length. For over 50 years the park groundwater was used to supply the city's drinking water, and waterworks remnants can be seen in the area.Fecal coliform bacteria and other contaminants have been detected in the creek water. Occasionally, Chinook salmon, coho, and cutthroat trout can be found in the section of creek within the park (the salmon especially in September and October). Moxlie Creek was named after R. W. Moxlie, an early settler.

Artesian Commons is a 0.2-acre (0.081 ha) park in downtown Olympia, Washington built in May 2014 around an artesian spring. It is described by the city as Olympia's first urban park (Sylvester Park in the Olympia Downtown Historic District is state-owned).

The Capitol Theater, at 206 East Fifth Avenue in downtown Olympia, Washington, was built in 1924. It was designed by architect Joseph Wohleb and has a capacity of 1,500. Since 1986, the Olympia Film Society operates the theater. The theater suffered major plaster damage to the ceiling during the 2001 Nisqually earthquake, but has since undergone repair and has re-opened. The marquee, a 1940 addition, was removed in January 2008. The theater played host to the International Pop Underground Convention, a punk and indie rock music festival in 1991, as well as the similarly themed Yoyo A Go Go in 1994, 1997, 1999, and 2001.

The Old Capitol Building is a building in Olympia, Washington. Designed by Willis A. Ritchie, it was built from 1890 to 1892 as the Thurston County Courthouse, and served from 1905 until 1928 as the state capitol, seat of the legislature of Washington; in 1928 the legislature moved to the current Capitol Building. It is now the office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction.The building has survived several disasters, after each of which it has been repaired. A fire in 1928 resulted in the loss of a central tower. After the 1949 Olympia earthquake, the building was evacuated and suffered severe damage to its masonry exterior that had to be repaired over the following few months at a cost of $1.1 million. 10 of the 12 towers were lost in the earthquake, along with a rotunda, the House chamber, and several galleries in the East Wing.

The Olympia Downtown Historic District is a historic district located in Olympia, Washington, the state's capital. The district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2004, covers 17 blocks in downtown Olympia and includes 51 contributing properties. The majority of buildings in Downtown Olympia were built between 1911 and 1930, decades after Washington gained statehood with Olympia as its capital city. Three earthquakes, in 1949, 1965 and 2001, damaged buildings in downtown Olympia. Several properties in the historic district were designed by architect Joseph Wohleb, who hails from the area.

The Woman's Club of Olympia was founded in Olympia, Washington, United States, in 1883. It is one of the oldest woman's club on the West Coast. Founding members included Mehitable Elder, Pamela Case Hale, Mary Hartsock, Janet Moore, Phebe Moore, Mary Shelton, Ella Stork, Abbie Howard Hunt Stuart, and Sarah E. Whitney. Its first president, Mrs. A.H.H. (Abbie Howard Hunt) Stewart, a college graduate and a veteran of the Women's Club in Boston, was a "driving force" in the club's organization and was known as the "Mother of Women's Clubs" for having founded other clubs, too.Of note was the club's early operation of Olympia's only library facility from 1896–1909 and subsequent assistance obtaining a Carnegie Library grant for a public library. A grant of $25,000 was obtained in 1903, which like other Carnegie grants included requirements for the local community to meet, and led to the building in 1914 of the Olympia Public Library. The library had 900 books when it was turned over to the city to operate in 1909.As of 2018 the club is still active. It is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.

The Mottman Building is an historic commercial building located at the Northwest corner of Capitol Way N & 4th Ave W in downtown Olympia, Washington. Originally constructed in 1888 as the Olympic Block by Samuel Williams for Toklas & Kaufman to house their department store, the building was remodeled and expanded to its current state in 1911 by prominent Olympia realtor and eventual mayor George Mottman, whose own department store, the Mottman Mercantile, occupied the building until 1967. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
