Eliot is a town in York County, Maine, United States. Originally settled in 1623, it was formerly a part of Kittery, to its east. After Kittery, it is the next most southern town in the state of Maine, lying on the Piscataqua River across from Portsmouth and Newington, New Hampshire. The population was 6,717 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. Eliot is home to Ambush Rock, Green Acre, and the Raitt Homestead Farm Museum.

South Eliot is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Eliot in York County, Maine, United States. The population was 3,550 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Green Acre Baháʼí School is a conference facility in Eliot, Maine, in the United States, and is one of three leading institutions owned by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Baháʼís of the United States. The name of the site has had various versions of "Green Acre" since before its founding in 1894 by Sarah Farmer. It had a prolonged process of progress and challenge while run by Farmer until about 1913 when she was indisposed after converting to the Baháʼí Faith in 1900. ʻAbdu'l-Bahá, then head of the religion, visited there during his travels in the West in 1912. Farmer died in 1916 and thereafter it had evolved into the quintessential Baháʼí school directly inspiring Louhelen Baháʼí School and Bosch Baháʼí School, the other two of the three schools owned by the national assembly, and today serves as a leading institution of the religion in America. It hosted diverse programs of study, presenters, and been a focus for dealing with racism in the United States through being a significant venue for Race Amity Conventions (later renamed Race Unity Day meetings) and less than a century later the Black Men's Gatherings and further events.

The Newington Railroad Depot is a historic railroad station on Bloody Point Road in Newington, New Hampshire. Built in 1873, it is an unusual railroad-related structure, serving as a passenger and freight depot, and as the residence of the stationmaster, who also performed the role of toll collector for the nearby bridge. It is the only surviving 19th-century railroad-related structure in Newington. Now vacant and owned by the state, the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Little Bay Bridge, or Little Bay Bridges, are a pair of four-lane girder bridges that carry a concurrency of U.S. Route 4, NH Route 16, and the Spaulding Turnpike across the mouth of Little Bay where it meets the Piscataqua River, between the city of Dover and the town of Newington in New Hampshire. As of August 2019, the bridges carry seven motor vehicle lanes with four shoulders, and one non-motorized multi-use path while the General Sullivan Bridge is closed.

The Paul Family Farm is a historic farmstead at 106 Depot Road in Eliot, Maine. Consisting of a well-preserved early-19th century Federal style farmhouse and a small collection of early-20th century outbuildings, it is a representative example of 19th-century farming in the area. The farmhouse parlor is further notable for the c. 1820s stencilwork on its walls. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Mall at Fox Run, formerly Fox Run Mall, is a shopping mall in Newington, New Hampshire, just north of Portsmouth. Its main anchor stores include JCPenney, Macy's Men's & Home Store (formerly Jordan Marsh) and Macy's Women's (formerly Filene's). At 603,618 square feet (56,077.9 m2), it is New Hampshire's fourth-largest mall, with 84 shops, all on one level. Completed in 1983, this mall functioned mainly as a successor to the smaller and dated Newington Mall, which has since been converted into a big box retail center. The mall is located just off U.S. Route 4 and the Spaulding Turnpike (NH Route 16). It is less than five minutes from Interstate 95. The mall is just 3 miles (4.8 km) from the Maine state border, and like the Pheasant Lane Mall and the Mall at Rockingham Park near the Massachusetts border, the Fox Run Mall draws a significant portion of its business from out-of-state customers (mostly from Maine) seeking to take advantage of New Hampshire's tax-free retail climate.For many years, the Mall at Fox Run had four anchor department stores: Sears, J. C. Penney, Macy's (formerly Jordan Marsh), and Filene's. The Filene's brand was discontinued following the Federated and May merger. Fox Run was one of a small number of malls where the former Filene's (or Lord & Taylor) store was converted into a second Macy's store. The other malls that have done this are the Cape Cod Mall in Hyannis, Massachusetts and the Northshore Mall in Peabody, Massachusetts. This gives Macy's at Fox Run a total area of nearly 140,000 square feet (13,000 m2), on par with many of the intermediate-sized Macy's stores nationwide, and makes Macy's the largest department store (in total square feet) in the mall.In 2015, Sears Holdings spun off 235 of its properties, including the Sears at the Mall at Fox Run, into Seritage Growth Properties.On October 15, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of its plan to close 142 stores nationwide. The space has been empty since 2019. The mall was originally managed by Jones Lang Lasalle, and from 2011 through 2017 by Simon Properties.Effective January 1, 2018, Mall at Fox Run has been leased and managed by Spinoso Real Estate Group.

The Raitt Homestead Farm Museum is a farm museum in Eliot, Maine. The Raitt Homestead Farm was built in 1896 on 33 acres (13 ha). The owner, Charles A. Raitt, used the farm to manufacture bricks, maintain a sawmill and grow an apple orchard. Upon Charles' death, the farm was inherited by his son Roland. During the Great Depression of the 1930s, the farm was turned into a dairy farm. When Roland Raitt died in 1962, the farm went to his son Gerald. The adjacent apple orchard, which had previously been sold, was reacquired and added to the farmstead. In 1996, the first Eliot Antique Tractor & Engine Show was held on the farm and the Eliot Antique Tractor & Engine Association was formed. The Association was granted non-profit status and in 2003, Gerald Raitt donated the homestead to the Association in exchange for a life interest in the property. The Raitt Homestead Farm Museum is open only during events. It is a 100% all volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of farming history. The Raitt Farm educates children and the community at large about farming history and the importance of growing your own food and preserving nature. They are preserving the 33 acre former dairy farm and maintain all the various buildings on the property. There is an abundance of wildlife that lives on the farm year round as well.

The First Parish Church Site-Dover Point is a historic church site on Dover Point Road in Dover, New Hampshire. It is the site of the second meetinghouse of the First Parish Church, a congregation established in 1633. Built in 1653 and demolished in the 18th century, its well-preserved site is one of the few colonial church sites known to be fortified against native attacks, with a log palisade and earthworks. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Atlantic Heights Development is a historic company-built worker subdivision in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Bounded by I-95, the Piscataqua River, and the tracks of the Boston and Maine Railroad, this small neighborhood was built in 1918-20 to meet housing demand for workers at the Atlantic Company Shipyard, located just to the south, and served as a prototype for later residential subdivisions. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Newington is a town in Rockingham County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 811 at the 2020 census. It is bounded to the west by Great Bay, northwest by Little Bay and northeast by the Piscataqua River. It is home to Portsmouth International Airport at Pease (formerly Pease Air Force Base) and to the New Hampshire Air National Guard. The 110-acre (45 ha) Old Town Center Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Newington Center Historic District encompasses the historic civic heart of Newington, New Hampshire. It consists of a section of Nimble Hill Road between its junction with Little Bay Road, and a gate at the southern end marking the start of territory formerly associated with Pease Air Force Base (now Portsmouth International Airport at Pease). This area includes the town common, laid out in 1640, a cluster of civic buildings, and several private residences, as well as remnants of the state's oldest town forest. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987; in 1991 an additional 69 acres (28 ha) of former town forest, now part of the airfield, were added to the district.
