Ramblewood is a small community located in northeast Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Ramblewood is located south of Northern Parkway with The Alameda serving as its western boundary and Loch Raven Blvd. as its eastern boundary and north of Belvedere Ave. The Ramblewood Community Association has had residential parking permits issued to its members as the result of the proliferation of students from Morgan parking in the neighborhood.

Loch Raven is a neighborhood in the Northeastern part of Baltimore, Maryland. It is located in the Upper Northwood Section of Northeast Baltimore east of Loch Raven Boulevard, west of Mount Pleasant Park, and borders the Baltimore City/County Line and served by the Loch Raven Improvement Association.

Perring-Loch is a small community located in northeast Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Tivoli is a historic home located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a random stone ashlar masonry structure built about 1855 and consisting of a three-story, symmetrical Italianate main block, with a contemporary two-story, T-shaped service wing. It contains the administrative and clinical offices, the infirmary, and dining hall of the Woodbourne Center. It was the summer residence of Enoch Pratt, who purchased the property in 1870 and died here in 1896. It was also a home of Charles S. Abell, one of the owners of the Baltimore Sun Papers and whose wife gave the property to Woodbourne in 1925. It currently serves as the administrative building for the Woodbourne Center, a mental health treatment center for young adolescents. Tivoli was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Mercy High School is a private and independent Catholic high school for girls sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and is located within the Archdiocese of Baltimore on a 26-acre campus at 1300 East Northern Parkway in Baltimore, Maryland. It is the only Catholic girls' school in Baltimore City with playing fields onsite.

Taylor's Chapel is an historic chapel located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a Greek Revival style chapel located in a quarter acre fenced-in plot, which also includes a graveyard, within Mount Pleasant Park in northeast Baltimore. The structure is a small, mid-19th-century country church, built of stone, covered with stucco, painted white, and has a gable roof. The interior features frescoes on the walls and ceiling, attributed by tradition to the Italian-American painter Constantino Brumidi. The frescoes are trompe-l'œil paintings of classical architectural detailing, including pilasters, panels, coffering, and ornaments. It has remained completely unaltered since its construction in 1853. It was built as a Methodist chapel by the Taylor family on their Mt. Pleasant plantation. In 1925 the City of Baltimore purchased the land surrounding the chapel and burial grounds for use as a public golf course. The site of the chapel and burial grounds was left to a self-perpetuating board of trustees. Taylor's Chapel is considered the mother church of St. John's United Methodist Church of Hamilton.Taylor's Chapel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

On July 18, 2013, Tyrone West, a 44-year-old African American male, was pursued by two officers of the Baltimore Police Department after he fled a traffic stop during which cocaine was allegedly found. The cocaine later went missing in police possession after a subpoena was issued. West was on parole at the time of this incident with an extensive criminal record including assault, resisting arrest, and attempted first-degree murder. West ultimately died during the scuffle with police and various medical experts have given conflicting assessments of contributing factors including cardiac arrhythmia, dehydration, positional asphyxia, and extreme environmental temperatures.The incident fueled tension in the North Baltimore community, playing a contributing factor in the eventual Baltimore riots of 2015. The death of West drew attention from notable African American leaders including U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, and celebrity Charles Barkley.Three separate investigations, both internal and external, repeatedly exonerated the officers involved, but a series of police actions were identified that negatively impacted the encounter. The incident, and subsequent recommendations made by an independent panel, encouraged the police department to make significant procedural changes.

Glen Oaks is a neighborhood in the North District of Baltimore. Its boundaries form a slender, inverted triangle, with the city line as the neighborhood's northern base and Belvedere Shopping Center as its southern apex. Chinquapin Parkway (west) and The Alameda (east) draw the triangle's sides and cross at the neighborhood's southern tip.Most of the homes in Glen Oaks are brick row houses, built in 1948 by Elba Construction, Inc.The neighborhoods of Chinquapin Park-Belevedere, Lake Walker and Cameron Village are located to the west of Glen Oaks, on the opposite side Chinquapin Park. Idlewood, Ramblewood and Woodbourne Heights are located to the east, across The Alameda in the Northeast District. Route 36 (MTA Maryland) provides bus service along The Alameda, connecting Glen Oaks residents with Downtown Baltimore. Route 44 (MTA Maryland) provides cross-town service along Belvedere Avenue. Median household income for Glen Oaks in 2009 was estimated at $44,821, while the citywide median was only $38,772. Residents living below the poverty level were 12.5 percent of the Glen Oaks population and 22.9 percent of the Baltimore population. About 3/4 of the Glen Oaks population of 3,012 (census estimate for 2009) were black and almost 1/4 were white.

Cameron Village is a neighborhood in the North District of Baltimore, located between the neighborhoods of Mid-Govans and Woodbourne Heights. Vaguely bell-shaped, its boundaries are marked by Bradhurst Road and E. Belvedere Avenue (north), Woodbourne Avenue (south), Lothian Road (west) and Northwood Drive (east).

Stonewood-Pentwood-Winston is a small community just west of Hillen Road and Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The community association is aptly named the Stonewood-Pentwood-Winston Community Association and it has applied and received permission to have residential parking permits issued to its members as the result of the proliferation of students from Morgan parking in the neighborhood.

Morgan Park is a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, located immediately east of Morgan State University.

The Edward P. Hurt Gymnasium is a 1,000-seat gymnasium on the campus of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. The gymnasium, built just west of Hughes Stadium, was opened in 1950 and named for Edward P. Hurt, the longtime coach of the basketball, football and track teams at Morgan State. The gymnasium was the home of the Morgan State Bears men's basketball team from 1950 to the opening of Talmadge L. Hill Field House. Hurt Gymnasium was the site of the first interracial American basketball game played south of the Mason–Dixon line on February 12, 1952, which ended with a Bears' 65–63 loss to Loyola College in Maryland. Since the opening of Hill Field House, the building still serves as a field house for Hughes, as well as housing offices for the Health & Physical Education departments, intramural athletics and a practice space for visiting teams.
