Dowally

The Dalguise Viaduct is a lattice girder viaduct in Dalguise, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It carries the Highland Main Line railway across the River Tay. Built in 1863, it was designed by Joseph Mitchell, for the then-new Inverness and Perth Junction Railway. A Category A listed structure, it stands about 0.44 miles (0.71 km) north of the now-disused Dalguise railway station. The viaduct is in two parts; the southern one being 210 feet (64 m), the northern 141 feet (43 m). The ironwork was supplied by Sir William Fairbairn & Sons, of Manchester.

Guay railway station, Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross, Scotland, was located near the hamlet of Guay next to the A9 road and close to the River Tay. The station stood on the old Inverness and Perth Junction Railway main line and lay 21 mi 36 chains (34.5 km) from Perth and was some 95 miles (160 km) south of Inverness.

Dalguise (Scottish Gaelic Dàil Ghiuthais) is a settlement in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is situated on the western side of the River Tay on the B898 road, 5 miles (8 kilometres) north of Dunkeld. Located there is Dalguise House, a place where, from the age of four, Beatrix Potter stayed annually with her family throughout the summer, from May till the end of the salmon season.

Tay Forest Park is forest park in the council area of Perth and Kinross in Scotland. It consists of a network of forests managed by Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) that are spread across the Highland parts of Perthshire, and covers 194 km2 in total. The park contains a series of disparate woods that are managed for multiple benefits, with an emphasis on recreation facilities for visitors.The park's main visitor centre is at Queen's View, near Loch Tummel, where there is a café, gift shop and interpretive displays. Other smaller centres are located at the following locations: Allean, also close to Loch Tummel Faskally, between Pitlochry and Killiecrankie Carie on the south side of Loch Rannoch Grandtully, between Aberfeldy and Ballinluig Weem, north of Aberfeldy Drummond Hill on the north side of Loch Tay Craigvinean, near Dunkeld and BirnamAt each location there is a car park and waymarked trails for visitors. Some of the site have more facilities, such as toilets.

The River Tummel (Scottish Gaelic: Uisge Theimheil) is a river in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Water from the Tummel is used in the Tummel hydro-electric power scheme, operated by SSE.As a tributary of the River Tay, the Tummel is included as part of the River Tay Special Area of Conservation. The designation notes the river system's importance for salmon, otters, brook lampreys, river lampreys and sea lampreys.

Ballinluig railway station served the village of Ballinluig, Perth and Kinross, Scotland from 1863 to 1965 on the Inverness and Perth Junction Railway.

Niel Gow's Oak is a 300-year-old tree near Dunkeld and Birnam, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. It is closely associated with the Scottish fiddler and composer Niel Gow, who lived in nearby Inver. Gow is said to have composed many of his most famous tunes whilst sitting beneath the oak. The connection is commemorated by a plaque and engraved bench. The tree has been entered into the Scottish and European Tree of the Year competitions. The tree was badly damaged by storms in 2011 and 2012.

Dunkeld Cathedral is a Church of Scotland place of worship which stands on the north bank of the River Tay in Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Built in square-stone style of predominantly grey sandstone, the cathedral proper was begun in 1260 and completed in 1501. It stands on the site of the former Culdee Monastery of Dunkeld, stones from which can be seen as an irregular reddish streak in the eastern gable. It is not formally a 'cathedral', as the Church of Scotland nowadays has neither cathedrals nor bishops, but it is one of a number of similar former cathedrals which has continued to carry the name.

The Tomb of the Wolf of Badenoch (or Tomb of Alexander Stewart) consists of a 15th-century tomb effigy and altar (or "chest") tomb, both of which are carved from marble. It is located in Dunkeld Cathedral, Perthshire, Scotland, and was built for Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan (1343 – c. 1394), who is buried underneath.The effigy is placed on top of the altar tomb, and shows Stuart in full and highly detailed knightly armour, with a lion (or dog) resting at his feet. It is in poor condition having been broken apart and defaced in the 16th century during the Scottish Reformation. The effigy is placed on top of an altar tomb lined with 22 pleurants (or "weepers"), who are also dressed in armour.

Rectory House, formerly the Dean's House, is an historic building in Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Standing adjacent to the gates to Dunkeld Cathedral at the western end of Cathedral Street, it is a Category B listed building dating to c. 1715. It is two storeys, with a five-window frontage and later attic dormers.In 1787, fiddler Niel Gow entertained Robert Burns here.

21–23 Cathedral Street is an historic building in Dunkeld, Perth and Kinross, Scotland. Standing near the gates to Dunkeld Cathedral at the western end of Cathedral Street, it is a Category B listed building dating to c. 1715. It is two storeys, with a five-window frontage with an L-plan block.
