The Museum Giersch is an art gallery on the Main River in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, in the Museumsufer area. The museum opened in 2000. It hosts a changing series of exhibitions displaying the art and cultural history of the Rhine-Main area, with the aim of promoting the region's cultural identity. The Museum Giersch displays works on loan from public and private collections. The range of exhibits covers all areas of painting, photography, sculpture and graphic art, as well as architecture and applied art.The gallery is situated in a neoclassical villa on the Schaumainkai, built around 1910 for the Philipp Holzmann company and now one of the few surviving riverside villas in Sachsenhausen. The renovation of the villa and its conversion into an exhibition venue were carried out by the Giersch Foundation (Stiftung Giersch), which was founded in 1994 and is the museum's sole operator.

The Städel, officially the Städelsches Kunstinstitut und Städtische Galerie, is an art museum in Frankfurt, with one of the most important collections in Germany. The Städel Museum owns 3,100 paintings, 660 sculptures, more than 4,600 photographs and more than 100,000 drawings and prints. It has around 4,000 m2 of display and a library of 115,000 books. The Städel was honoured as "Museum of the Year 2012" by the German art critics association AICA in 2012. In the same year the museum recorded the highest attendance figures in its history, of 447,395 visitors. In 2020 the museum had 318,732 visitors, down 45 percent from 2019, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It ranked 71st on the list of most-visited art museums in 2020.

Nizza ([ˈnɪtsaː], from the Italian and German name for the French city of Nice) is a small area in central Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, known for its microclimate that makes it one of the warmest places in Germany. Nizza is on the northern bank of the River Main, and the combination of its open southern-facing position, the urban heat island, the high walls of the adjacent promenade which act as a windbreak, and reflection of sunlight off the water combine to produce a Mediterranean climate. At 4.42 hectares (10.9 acres), Nizza is one of the largest gardens of Mediterranean plants north of the Alps.

Schaumainkai is a street in central Frankfurt, Germany, running along the south side of the river Main. It includes a number of museums including the Städel, a leading art gallery. Because of the large concentration of museums on the riverside, the area is called Museumsufer ("Museum Embankment"). The street is sometimes partially closed to traffic and used for Frankfurt's largest flea market.

The Städelschule (German pronunciation: [ˈʃtɛːdl̩ʃuːlə]), Staatliche Hochschule für Bildende Künste, is a tertiary school of art in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It accepts about 20 students each year from 500 applicants, and has a total of approximately 150 students of visual arts and 50 of architecture. About 75% of the students are not from Germany, and courses are taught in English.

The Museum für Kommunikation is a museum of the history of communication in Frankfurt, Germany. It opened on 31 January 1958 under the name Bundespostmuseum (National Postal Museum) and is the oldest museum on Frankfurt's Museumsufer (Museum Riverbank).The museum was owned by Deutsche Bundespost until 1994. The present building, a modern and transparent glass structure, opened in 1990 and was designed by architect Günter Behnisch. Following the opening of the new building, the museum acquired its present name, and it is now managed by the Museum Trust for Post and Telecommunications, which was established in 1995 during the federal postal reforms that followed re-unification.

The Jewish Museum Frankfurt am Main is the oldest independent Jewish Museum in Germany. It was opened by Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl on 9 November 1988, the 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht.The Jewish Museum collects, preserves and communicates the nine-hundred-year-old Jewish history and culture of the City of Frankfurt from a European perspective. It has a permanent exhibition at two venues: the Museum Judengasse at Battonstraße 47 focuses on the theme of the history and culture of Jews in Frankfurt during the early modern period; the Jewish Museum in the Rothschildpalais at Untermainkai 14/15 presents Jewish history and culture since 1800. The museum was refurbished and expanded between 2015 and 2020. The focus of the collection is on the areas ceremonial culture, fine arts and family history. The museum has extensive holdings related to the Rothschild family and the Anne Frank family which will be presented in the new permanent exhibition. The Ludwig Meidner Archive is responsible for the estates of the artists Ludwig Meidner, Jacob Steinhardt, Henry Gowa and others. In addition, the museum has an extensive library as well as a document and photograph collection related to German-Jewish history and culture.

The German Architecture Museum (German: Deutsches Architekturmuseum) (DAM) is located on the Museumsufer in Frankfurt, Germany. Housed in an 18th-century building, the interior has been re-designed by Oswald Mathias Ungers in 1984 as a set of "elemental Platonic buildings within elemental Platonic buildings". It houses a permanent exhibition entitled "From Ancient Huts to Skyscrapers" which displays the history of architectural development in Germany.The museum organises several temporary exhibitions every year, as well as conferences, symposia and lectures. It has a collection of ca. 180,000 architectural drawings and 600 models, including works by modern and contemporary classics like Erich Mendelsohn, Mies van der Rohe, Archigram and Frank O. Gehry. It also includes a reference library with approximately 25,000 books and magazines.

The Frankfurt Fairy Tale Fountain (Märchenbrunnen) is an Art Nouveau bronze fountain that is located at Willy-Brandt-Platz. It was designed by Ernst Friedrich Jausmann in 1910. The fountain is notable for its sculptural program depicting characters from well-known fairy tales. These figures reflect the cultural tradition of storytelling and contributes to the site’s popularity. The fountain has become a recognizable feature of the surrounding park and is often used as a gathering point and a location for photography.

The Oper Frankfurt (Frankfurt Opera) is a German opera company based in Frankfurt. Opera in Frankfurt am Main has a long tradition, with many world premieres such as Franz Schreker's Der ferne Klang in 1912, Fennimore und Gerda by Frederick Delius in 1919, and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana in 1937. Frankfurt's international recognition began in the Gielen Era, 1977 to 1987, when Michael Gielen and stage directors such as Ruth Berghaus collaborated. A historic opera house from 1880 was destroyed in World War II, and reconstructed as a concert hall, the Alte Oper. The present opera house, built in 1963, is under one roof with the stage for drama. The opera orchestra is called Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester. Today's venue for Baroque and contemporary opera is the Bockenheimer Depot, a former tram depot. Voted best 'Opera house of the year' by Opernwelt several times since 1996, including 2020, Oper Frankfurt is part of the Städtische Bühnen Frankfurt.
