Kyivskyi District (Ukrainian: Київський район) is an urban district of the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine, named after the capital city of Ukraine Kyiv. It is the biggest raion of the city and one of the oldest. The district was created in 1937 when Petynsko-Zhuravlivskyi District was split into Kahanovychskyi and Stalinskyi districts. In 1957 Kahanovchskyi District was renamed into Kyivskyi.

The National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" (NTU "KhPI") (Ukrainian: Національний технічний університет "Харківський політехнічний інститут"), in the city of Kharkiv, is the largest and oldest technical university in eastern Ukraine. Founded in 1885, it is the second-oldest technical university in the former Russian Empire (after Saint Petersburg State Institute of Technology) and in the territory of modern Ukraine (after Lviv Polytechnic).

The Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts (Ukrainian: Харківська державна академія дизайну та мистецтв) or KSADA (Ukrainian: ХДАДМ) is an art institute in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Founded in 1921, it is one of the oldest Ukrainian higher education institutions. It is operated under the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine as a public university, and holds level IV accreditation in Ukraine. The academy is structured into four faculties: the Faculty of Fine Art, the Faculty of Design, the Faculty of Environmental Design and the Faculty of Audiovisual and Extramural Studies.

The Kharkiv Art School building (Ukrainian: Будівля Харківського художнього училища) is an architectural monument of the early 20th century, constructed in the style of Ukrainian Art Nouveau. It is located in the centre of Kharkiv, on Mystetstv Street (formerly Kaplunivska Street). The structure was built between 1912 and 1913 as a specialised facility for the Kharkiv Art School (now the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts), one of the oldest art educational institutions in Ukraine. The project architect was Kostiantyn Mykolaiovych Zhukov.

The Ivan Boiko House (Ukrainian: Будинок Івана Бойка) is a architectural and urban planning monument in the Ukrainian Art Nouveau style, located in the center of Kharkiv at 44 Myronosytska Street. The building was constructed between 1912 and 1914 as a revenue house (apartment building for rent) based on a design by architects Serhii Tymoshenko, Pavlo Shyrshov, and Pavlo Sokolov. Renowned artists Mykola Samokysh and Serhii Vasylkivsky decorated the stairwells with murals and panels.

The Alchevsky Mansion (Ukrainian: Особняк Алчевських, romanized: Osobnyak Alchevsʹkykh) is the former mansion of the prominent Alchevsky family, built in 1893 according to the design of Oleksiy Mykolayovych Beketov in the center of Kharkiv at 13 Zhon Myronosyts Street. The building is included in the list of architectural and urban planning monuments of local significance (security number 7088-Ха) and in the list of historical monuments of local significance (security number 78). Currently, the building houses the Palace of Culture of the Main Department of the National Police in the Kharkiv Oblast.

Arkhitektora Beketova (Ukrainian: Архітектора Бекетова, (listen)) is a station on Kharkiv Metro's Oleksiivska Line. The station opened on 6 May 1995.

People's Ukrainian Academy is a private institution of higher education in Kharkiv. Despite its full name (The Kharkiv University of Humanities' "People's Ukrainian Academy"), it is not affiliated with the University of Kharkiv.
