Center Rutland is an unincorporated village in the town of Rutland, Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The community is located along U.S. Route 4 Business and Vermont Route 3 on the western border of the city of Rutland. Center Rutland had a post office from May 1, 1850, until March 19, 2011; it still has its own ZIP code, 05736.

Evergreen Cemetery is a burial ground located in Rutland Town, Vermont. It is managed by the Rutland Evergreen Cemetery Association. Evergreen was founded as Pine Hill Cemetery in 1861, and the name was subsequently changed.

College of St. Joseph was a Private Roman Catholic liberal arts college in Rutland County, Vermont. It occupied a 117 acres (0.47 km2) wooded campus. Although the college was accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education, it was placed on probation in August 2018 because of the college's financial challenges. It closed at the end of the spring 2019 semester.

Clementwood is a historic estate in Rutland, Vermont, United States. It is now a part of the campus of the College of St. Joseph on the city's west side. The estate was developed in the 1850s by Charles Clement, a leading local businessman whose family fortune was made in the locally prominent marble industry. The house is a notably fine example of Italianate architecture; it currently houses the administrative offices of the college. The estate was listed on National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Watkins School is a historic school building at 26 Watkins Street in Rutland, Vermont. Built in 1897, it is a high quality local example of Colonial Revival architecture, and a fine example of a period graded school. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. It has been converted to residential use.

Wilson Castle is a nineteenth-century estate located at Proctor in the U.S. state of Vermont. The house was built in 1885 in a mix of nineteenth-century architectural styles including Dutch neo-renaissance, Scottish baronial, Queen Anne, and Romanesque Revival. It is now operated as a house museum and is open late May until late October for an admission fee.

The Chaffee-Moloney Houses are a pair of brick residences (one single-family, one a duplex) at 194 and 196-198 Columbian Avenue in Rutland, Vermont. Built in 1885, they are fine examples of Queen Anne/Eastlake style, and are significant for their association with Thomas W. Moloney, an Irish-American attorney who played a major role the city acquiring its charter. The house were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Boardman Hill Solar Farm (BHSF) is a 150 kW AC community solar farm project. The Farm is the first community solar array in Vermont that fulfills the “Vermont Grown, Vermont Green” Archived 2019-01-24 at the Wayback Machine mission: complete member-ownership, democratic management of ongoing operations, and retirement of the RECs generated by the solar farm. It is located on the Boardman Hill Farm in West Rutland, Vermont.In 2015 BHSF was awarded the Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network Best Project of 2015 Archived 2018-01-27 at the Wayback Machine It received the Vermont Governor's Environmental Excellence Award in 2016.

The Rutland Senate District is one of 16 districts of the Vermont Senate. The current district plan is included in the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2020 U.S. Census, which applies to legislatures elected in 2022, 2024, 2026, 2028, and 2030. The Rutland District includes all of Rutland County except the town of Mount Holly, which is in the Windsor district. As of the 2010 census, the state as a whole had a population of 625,741. As there are a total of 30 Senators, there were 20,858 residents per senator.

The Rutland-5-4 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Rutland-5-4 District includes that part of the Rutland County city of Rutland not included in Rutland-5-1, Rutland-5-2, and Rutland-5-3. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Rutland-5-4 District had a population of 4,362 in that same census, 7.46% above the state average.

WSYB (1380 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Rutland, Vermont. Established in 1930, the station is owned by Pamal Broadcasting and broadcasts a classic hits radio format as "100.1 WSYB". Local high school and college sports coverage include football, basketball, and hockey. WSYB is one of the oldest affiliates on the Boston Red Sox Radio Network. By day, WSYB is powered at 5,000 watts non-directional; to protect other stations on 1380 AM from interference, it reduces power at night to 25 watts. The transmitter and studios are on Dorr Drive in Rutland, near Otter Creek. Programming is also heard on 250 watt FM translator W261DE at 100.1 MHz; the station's branding reflects this.

St. Peter's Church and Mount St. Joseph Convent Complex is a Roman Catholic religious and educational complex on Convent and Meadow Streets in Rutland, Vermont. The complex includes a church, rectory, two schools, a convent, and an elderly housing building. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The church is an architecturally significant work of architect Patrick C. Keely.
