Trout Lake is located west of Bolton, New York. Fish species present in the lake are brook trout, rainbow trout, splake, lake trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, pickerel, yellow perch, smelt, rock bass, rainbow smelt, brown trout and brown bullhead. There is a carry down trail on the northeast shore via trail off Lamb Hill Road. There is a 50 horsepower motor limit on this lake. It is called Trout Lake due to the high numbers of lake trout and rainbow trout that are found in the lake. It is also shaped like a trout.

Kattskill Bay is a hamlet in the towns of Queensbury in Warren County and Fort Ann in Washington County in the state of New York, United States. The hamlet is located along the shore of Warner and Van Warmer Bays of Lake George. Kattskill Bay was part of the proposed East Lake George village. Pilot Knob Road is the major highway that runs through the hamlet. The hamlet is located at the base of Buck Mountain. Kattskill Bay is also the name assigned by the United States Postal Service to ZIP code 12844. Pilot Knob is also an acceptable name.

The Ethan Allen was a 40-foot, glass-enclosed tour boat operated by Shoreline Cruises on Lake George in upstate New York. On October 2, 2005, at 2:55 p.m. local time, with 47 passengers—mostly seniors—aboard, the Ethan Allen capsized and sank just south of Cramer Point in the Town of Lake George. Twenty passengers died, causing government regulators to consider new laws on passenger boat capacity.

We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc. also known as We the People Foundation is a non-profit education and research organization in Queensbury, New York with the declared mission "to protect and defend individual Rights as guaranteed by the Constitutions of the United States." It was founded by Robert L. Schulz. At the U.S. Department of Justice, he is known as a "high-profile tax protester". The Southern Poverty Law Center asserts that Schulz is the head of the leading organization in the tax protester movement. The organization formally served a petition for redress of grievances regarding income tax upon the United States government in November 2002. In July 2004, it filed a lawsuit in an unsuccessful attempt to force the government to address the petition (see below). The organization has also served petitions relating to other issues since then.

Royal C. Peabody Estate, also known as Wikiosco ("Home of Beautiful Waters"), is a historic lakefront estate located at Lake George, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1905 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, asymmetrical Tudor Revival–style summer residence. It is a stuccoed frame structure above a raised basement and first story sheathed in rough-cut granite. It was originally built for Royal C. Peabody the founder of Brooklyn Edison now part of Con Edison. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Owl's Nest, also known as the Edward Eggleston Estate, is a historic estate property located on the shore of Lake George in Queensbury, New York. Developed in the 1870s and 1880s, it was the home of Edward Eggleston (1837-1902), one of America's first realist writers. He began summering there in the 1870s and it was his permanent home from the mid-1880s until his death. The property was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971.

Warrensburg is a census-designated place (CDP) in Warren County, New York, United States. The population was 3,045 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Glens Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area.Warrensburg is located on U.S. Route 9, on the Schroon River, east of the Hudson River, and west of Interstate 87 (The Northway). The CDP is entirely within the town of Warrensburg. According to the 2000 United States Census, the CDP comprises less than one-fifth of the town's total area, yet has about 75% of the town's population. The CDP's population density is more than fourteen times that of the town outside the CDP. Much of the town's historic core is within the Hamlet of Warrensburgh Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. Also listed on the National Register of Historic Places are the Merrill MaGee House, Mixter Blacksmith Shop, and Warrensburg Mills Historic District.

Mixter Blacksmith Shop is a historic blacksmith shop located at Warrensburg, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1840 in the Greek Revival style to house a commercial operation and modified about 1890 in the Queen Anne style to accommodate mixed use activities. It is a two-story building built into a slope. It is constructed of load-bearing local granite and topped by a medium pitched roof clad in raised seam metal.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The Battle of Lake George was fought on 8 September 1755, in the north of the Province of New York. It was part of a campaign by the British to expel the French from North America, in the French and Indian War.General Jean-Armand, and Baron de Dieskau led a variety of regulars and irregulars. William Johnson led an army consisting solely of colonial irregulars and Iroquois warriors under Hendrick Theyanoguin. The battle consisted of three separate phases and ended in victory for the British and their allies. Afterward, Johnson built Fort William Henry in order to consolidate his gains.
