East Lake George is a hamlet within the towns of Queensbury (in Warren County) and Fort Ann (in Washington County) in the U.S. state of New York. East Lake George attempted to incorporate as a village, a measure rejected by voters in 2010.

Cleverdale is a hamlet in Warren County, New York, United States. The community is located on a peninsula along the south shore of Lake George, 5 miles (8.0 km) northeast of the village of Lake George. Cleverdale has a post office with ZIP code 12820.

We the People Foundation for Constitutional Education, Inc. also known as We the People Foundation is a non-profit education and research organization in Queensbury, New York with the declared mission "to protect and defend individual Rights as guaranteed by the Constitutions of the United States." It was founded by Robert L. Schulz. At the U.S. Department of Justice, he is known as a "high-profile tax protester". The Southern Poverty Law Center asserts that Schulz is the head of the leading organization in the tax protester movement. The organization formally served a petition for redress of grievances regarding income tax upon the United States government in November 2002. In July 2004, it filed a lawsuit in an unsuccessful attempt to force the government to address the petition (see below). The organization has also served petitions relating to other issues since then.

Owl's Nest, also known as the Edward Eggleston Estate, is a historic estate property located on the shore of Lake George in Queensbury, New York. Developed in the 1870s and 1880s, it was the home of Edward Eggleston (1837-1902), one of America's first realist writers. He began summering there in the 1870s and it was his permanent home from the mid-1880s until his death. The property was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971.

The community is located along the western shore of Lake George and New York State Route 9N, 3.9 miles (6.3 km) north-northeast of the village of Lake George. Diamond Point has a post office with ZIP code 12824, which opened on September 6, 1877.

The Ethan Allen was a 40-foot, glass-enclosed tour boat operated by Shoreline Cruises on Lake George in upstate New York. On October 2, 2005, at 2:55 p.m. local time, with 47 passengers—mostly seniors—aboard, the Ethan Allen capsized and sank just south of Cramer Point in the Town of Lake George. Twenty passengers died, causing government regulators to consider new laws on passenger boat capacity.

Gates Homestead is a historic home located at Bolton, Warren County, New York. The property includes the main house, ice house, carpenter shop, and two barns. All structures (except the east barn) were built between about 1830 and 1880 and moved to their present location in 1919. The main house was built about 1830 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, post and beam, five-by-two-bay late Federal / early-Greek Revival–style residence.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The Battle of Lake George was fought on 8 September 1755, in the north of the Province of New York. It was part of a campaign by the British to expel the French from North America, in the French and Indian War.General Jean-Armand, and Baron de Dieskau led a variety of regulars and irregulars. William Johnson led an army consisting solely of colonial irregulars and Iroquois warriors under Hendrick Theyanoguin. The battle consisted of three separate phases and ended in victory for the British and their allies. Afterward, Johnson built Fort William Henry in order to consolidate his gains.

Royal C. Peabody Estate, also known as Wikiosco ("Home of Beautiful Waters"), is a historic lakefront estate located at Lake George, Warren County, New York. It was built about 1905 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, asymmetrical Tudor Revival–style summer residence. It is a stuccoed frame structure above a raised basement and first story sheathed in rough-cut granite. It was originally built for Royal C. Peabody the founder of Brooklyn Edison now part of Con Edison. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Hadlock Pond, also known as Lake Hadlock or Sunderland Pond, is a small, private, man-made reservoir formed on a tributary of Halfway Creek in the Town of Fort Ann in Washington County, New York, United States. Constructed in 1896, the original dam was of earthen construction, or rock fill. It had a height of 29 feet (8.8 m), with a width of 850 feet (260 m). The dam was reconstructed in 2005, only to collapse months later, flooding and damaging nearby property. The pond is owned by the town of Fort Ann, and is primarily used for recreational purposes. The pond has a surface area of 220 acres (0.89 km2).

Wiawaka is a holiday house for women. It has lake front property on Lake George, New York. It is one of the few remaining fully operational vacation/retreat centers which arose out of the women's rights movement in the early part of the twentieth century. Founded in 1903 by Mary Wiltsie Fuller, Wiawaka provided "affordable vacations" for mainly immigrant female textile workers from Troy and Cohoes, New York, who lacked the economic means to find respite anywhere else.Today, women of all socio-economic backgrounds and from all over North America are able to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Wiawaka since it operates as a nonprofit corporation in order to continue the tradition of "affordable vacations" for all women.

The Wiawaka bateaux are a cluster of shipwrecks in Lake George, New York State. The seven British and colonial bateaux were scuttled in 1758 during the French and Indian Wars, with the intention of recovery in 1759. This never happened, and their wrecks were discovered between 1963 and 1964 by archaeological diver Terry Crandall, working under the auspices of the Adirondack Museum. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
