Redon Abbey

Redon (French pronunciation: [ʁədɔ̃] ; Breton pronunciation: [ˈreːdõn]) is a commune in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in Brittany in northwestern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department.

The railway from Rennes to Redon is a regional railway line between Rennes and Redon in Ille-et-Vilaine, western France. It's a part of the link between Rennes and Nantes/Quimper.

The arrondissement of Redon is an arrondissement of France in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region. It has 50 communes. Its population is 104,882 (2021), and its area is 1,302.6 km2 (502.9 sq mi).

Redon is a railway station serving the town of Redon, Ille-et-Vilaine department, western France. The station is situated on the Rennes–Redon railway and the Savenay–Landerneau railway.

The canton of Redon is an administrative division of the Ille-et-Vilaine department, in northwestern France. At the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015, it was expanded from 6 to 15 communes. Its seat is in Redon. It consists of the following communes:

Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ nikɔla də ʁədɔ̃] , literally Saint-Nicolas of Redon; Breton: Sant-Nikolaz-an-Hent) is a commune in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France. The surrounding communities are Avessac and Fégréac in Loire-Atlantique, Rieux and Saint-Jean-la-Poterie in Morbihan, Redon and Sainte-Marie in Ille-et-Vilaine.

The Oust (French pronunciation: [ust]; Breton: Oud) is a river in Brittany, France, right tributary of the Vilaine. It is 145 km (90 mi) long. Its source is in the hills between Corlay and Quintin. It flows generally southeast, through the following départements and towns: Côtes-d'Armor: Uzel Morbihan: Rohan, Josselin, Malestroit Ille-et-Vilaine: Redon The Oust flows into the river Vilaine in Redon. The part of the Oust between Rohan and Redon has been made navigable for small ships, and forms part of the Canal de Nantes à Brest. The rivers Aff, Arz and Ninian are among its tributaries.

The Arz (Breton: Aer) is a 66.4 km (41.3 mi) long river in the Morbihan département, northwestern France. Its source is at Plaudren. It flows generally east-southeast. It is a right tributary of the Oust into which it flows at Saint-Jean-la-Poterie, near Redon.

Saint-Perreux (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ pɛʁø] ; Breton: Sant-Pereg) is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. It was named after the Welsh monk, Saint Petroc.

Saint-Jean-la-Poterie (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ ʒɑ̃ la pɔtʁi] ; Breton: Sant-Yann-ar-Wern) is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France.
