St. Aloysius Church (Pewee Valley, Kentucky)

Pewee Valley is a home rule-class city in Oldham County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,588 as of the 2020 census.

The Ashwood Avenue Historic District, also known as Ashwood Avenue Historic District, in Pewee Valley, Kentucky, is a 23 acres (9.3 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It included 13 contributing buildings.The district includes nine houses along Ash Ave. from La Grange Rd. to Elm Ave. in Pewee Valley, specifically numbers 100, 106, 110, 111, 112, 115, 116, 117 & 121 Ash Ave. It includes Queen Anne, Bungalow/American Craftsman, and Colonial Revival architecture, built from c. 1890 to 1936.

The Bondurant-Hustin House, located at 104 Castlewood Dr. in Pewee Valley, Kentucky, is a two-story Queen Anne-style house which was built in 1885. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.It is asymmetric in plan and has a round tower with a conical roof. It has a wraparound porch with Tuscan-style columns. The property includes a carriage house which is a second contributing building in the listing.

Saint James' Episcopal Church is a historic church in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. It was built in 1869 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Native Pewee Valley limestone was used to construct the building in a Gothic Revival style. It was completed in 1869 at a cost of $4,000. William Henry Redin (1822-1904) was the architect. The design was based on sketches made by Kentucky Bishop Benjamin Bosworth Smith of a 12th-century country church during a trip to England. In 1908, the congregation began a project to add a rectory. They sold 14 acres from the original 20-acre site to raise funds for construction of the rectory.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.The house was deemed significant as "an excellent example of a late 19th century residence which combines elements of shingle and stick styles of architecture which were popular during the late 1800s. The Clore family was in Oldham County in early days of settlement and. longtime residence since the early 1800s and associated with town of Crestwood. The house is one of the Victorian houses documented in the comprehensive survey of the county. The Clore family's main livelihood was agriculture and they proved to be prominent farmers in the area."

CNN listed it as the 52nd best place to live in America in 2005. It was first settled in the early 19th century and renamed Crestwood in 1909.

O'Bannon is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky centered along Old LaGrange Road and Collins Lane (which is named after Levi Collins). O'Bannon was originally called Williamson after its first postmaster John Williamson, but was renamed in 1859 after postmaster John O'Bannon. The Post Office was located at the southwest corner of Old LaGrange Road and Collins Lane. O'Bannon Elementary School, which was located on Factory Lane, closed in 1960.

Floydsburg is a rural unincorporated community in Oldham County, Kentucky, United States. It is located southeast of Crestwood on KY 1408. This community was named its location near pioneer James John Floyd's Ford Station. The Floyds Fork, a tributary of the Salt River, starts nearby.
