Fraser High School (FHS) is a secondary school in Hamilton, New Zealand. The school began in 1920 as Hamilton Technical Day School (later amended to Hamilton's Technical High School in 1924).

Western Heights is a suburb on the western boundary of the city of Hamilton in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand.Skyline landmarks include Dinsdale water reservoir, the adjacent Newcastle reservoir, one of the largest in the city holding 21,000 m3 (740,000 cu ft), and a block of gum trees. As these mature many have had to be culled.Google Earth maps highlight the area as the most clearly defined block to Hamilton's west. Situated as it is to the west of the ridge on the city's boundary, the suburb is a little exposed to wind but the views are good.Hamilton Boundary Road was renamed Brymer Road by Waipa County Council in 1967, after Mr Brymer, a local property owner. In 2007 $865,000 was spent widening it to become the main road through Western Heights. In 2018 it was used by 3,600 vehicles a day, 60 of them buses on the half hourly route 3. Livingstone is a suburb in western Hamilton in New Zealand. J Livingstone, who the suburb is named after, owned and subdivided a large proportion of the area in 1916. The suburb became a part of Hamilton in 1962.It is usually described as part of Nawton, Nawton Primary School is on Livingstone Avenue and it is in Nawton East census area.

It is the site of the city's passenger railway station, a major industrial-commercial stretch of State Highway 1C, and a commercial shopping area. Frankton Borough Council was formed in 1913, but merged with Hamilton in 1917, after a poll in 1916.

Grandview Heights is a suburb in western Hamilton in New Zealand.Grandview had a population of 3,132 at the 2013 New Zealand census, an increase of 147 people since the 2006 census. There were 1,467 males and 1,662 females. Figures have been rounded and may not add up to totals. 65.1% were European/Pākehā, 32.4% were Māori, 6.6% were Pacific peoples and 9.0% were Asian.In the 2018 census the name disappeared and most of the area became part of Nawton East.

Stonebridge, also known as Stonebridge Estate, is a suburb close to the western boundary of Hamilton in New Zealand. It adjoins Dinsdale to the east and Western Heights to the north. The suburb was farmland until development began about 1996; a large farming operation still takes place in the land between sections today. The land is mainly rolling with a winding gully. Developers have modified the existing vegetation and landscape to create a series of ponds connected by a creek.In 2013 meshblock 0978002 had a population of 93 living in 33 houses.

Hamilton railway station serves the city of Hamilton in the Waikato region of New Zealand. It is located in the suburb of Frankton, hence the station's former name Frankton Junction, its name for most of its existence. The station is a Keilbahnhof, located at the junction of the North Island Main Trunk (NIMT) and East Coast Main Trunk (ECMT) lines. The station is served by the regional Te Huia service, which runs to Auckland via Rotokauri Transport Hub and Huntly railway station twice daily in the morning, with return services in the evening and by the 6-days a week, Northern Explorer passenger service, between Auckland and Wellington.

Crawshaw is a compact suburb, close to Te Rapa railway depot, in western Hamilton in New Zealand, and extended in the 2018 census to cover 0.86 km2 (210 acres). Although sometimes referred to as a suburb in its own right, it is often described as being part of Nawton.The southern part of the suburb was developed about 1913, but the northern in the 1960s and 1970s. Housing New Zealand properties, tenanted by low income families have been reported to make up a majority of homes.Crawshaw Park was created between 1979 and 1985. It covers 3.1 ha (7.7 acres), includes some remnant kahikateas and forms a link in a green chain through Mooney Park, Bishops Lane Reserve, Crawshaw Park and Dominion Park.

Forest Lake is a suburb of Hamilton in New Zealand and was added to from around the 1930s. It is centred around Forest Lake Road, which is used by around 10,000 vehicles a day.For quite a long time there was swamp in a large part and this has now been drained but Lake Rotokaeo remains and the ground remains quite damp in parts. Forest Lake is named after the forest that once surrounded Rotokaeo.

Balloons over Waikato is an annual hot air balloon festival held in Hamilton, New Zealand since 1999 by the non-profit organisation Balloons over Waikato Trust. The event spans five days during autumn and attracts both local and overseas balloonists. The Festival is held primarily at Innes Common, at Hamilton Lake, which gets an estimated 130,000 visitors during the festival. The highlight of the festival, the "Night glow" is held at the University of Waikato where an estimated 80,000+ people attend to watch the lighting of balloons putting on a spectacular glow to music.
