Saxtead Green Post Windmill is a Grade II* listed post mill at Saxtead Green, Woodbridge, Suffolk, England which is also a Scheduled monument and has been restored.

Saxtead is a small village in the East Suffolk district, in the county of Suffolk. Saxtead gives its name to the settlements of Saxtead Green and Saxtead Little Green and the windmill Saxtead Green Windmill. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 335. Saxtead is located on the A1120 road in between the town of Stowmarket and the village of Yoxford. The place-name 'Saxtead' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as Saxsteda. The name is thought to mean 'Seaxa's place'.

Sir Robert Hitcham's Almshouses are grade II* listed almshouses in New Road, Framlingham, Suffolk, England. They were built in 1654 under the will of Sir Robert Hitcham using materials from the demolished buildings of Framlingham Castle.

Loes was a hundred of Suffolk, with an area of 31,321 acres (126.75 km2).Loes Hundred was long and thin in shape, around 15 miles (24 km) long and between 2 and 6 miles (9.7 km) wide. It followed the course of the River Deben from Cretingham to Ufford where it crossed Wilford Hundred to Woodbridge where it widened considerably. The town and port of Woodbridge fell within the hundred but was detached from the main part by about three miles (5 km). Loes was bounded on the east by Plomesgate Hundred, on the north by Hoxne Hundred, and on the west and south west by Thredling, Carlford and Wilford Hundreds. It was one of seven Saxon hundreds grouped together as the Wicklaw Hundreds.The area is a picturesque district of hill and valley watered by the Deben, the River Ore and their tributary streams, and the loamy soil is well suited to barley, wheat and beans. Listed as Losa in the Domesday Book, the name "Loes" probably indicates that it was originally owned by a man named Hlossa.

Framlingham Mere is a 13.8-hectare nature reserve in Framlingham in Suffolk. It is managed by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust.This site has a lake and wet meadows adjoining Framlingham Castle. There are many migrating birds, and flora include marsh marigolds, ragged-robin and lady's smock.There is access from New Road and by a footpath past the castle from Badingham Road.

Brandeston Hall is a grade II* listed house in Old Maids Lane, Brandeston, Suffolk, England.The Hall is the former manor house of Brandeston but is now used for educational purposes. The original house was built around 1550 for Andrew Revett, but only the east wing and entrance porch survive from a fire of 1847 that destroyed most of the house. It was rebuilt in 1848 for Charles Austin, a lawyer and the head of the Parliamentary Bar.Brandeston Hall was used as a military headquarters during World War II. 8th Army Group Royal Artillery was formed there on 1 May 1943 by conversion of the Headquarters, Royal Artillery, of 54th (East Anglian) Infantry Division.It was acquired by Framlingham College in 1949, as recorded in a Latin inscription over the doorway. The ceiling to the headmaster's study has painted portraits of 24 famous men.
