Elantxobe is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain.

Gautegiz Arteaga (Spanish: Gautéguiz de Arteaga) is a town in Biscay, in the northern Spanish autonomous community of the Basque Country. It is located on the right bank of the Urdaibai estuary. Its most emblematic building is the Arteaga Tower, a medieval castle rebuilt in the 19th century for the French empress Eugénie de Montijo.

Ereño is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain. Ereño is famous for its marble, in the 1st century CE the Romans were mining the quarries, which are no longer being used. There are literary references that call Ereño the “capital of the marble route”. That material can be found in numerous buildings in Urdaibai and also on the other side of the ocean. According to historian Tomás de Goikolea, Ereño was built in the 9th century and the residents of the town may be direct descendants of the inhabitants of the Santimamiñe cave. On 29 September, the San Miguel festival, a popular mass is held and a pilgrimage is done.

Santimamiñe cave, Kortezubi, Biscay, Basque Country, Spain, is one of the most important archaeological sites of the Basque Country, including a nearly complete sequence from the Middle Paleolithic to the Iron Age.Its complete sequence includes the following cultures: Mousterian Chatelperronian Aurignacian Gravettian Solutrean Magdalenian AzilianPlus unclassified remains of the Neolithic, Chalcolithic, Bronze and Iron ages. It is best known for its mural paintings of the Magdalenian period, depicting bisons, horses, goats and deer. Its excellent location over the Urdaibai estuary was probably most important in its continued habitation, first by Neanderthals and later by Homo sapiens. Since 2008, it is one of the caves included as a World Heritage Site within "Cave of Altamira and Paleolithic Cave Art of Northern Spain".

The Castillo de la Emperatriz Eugenia de Montijo (Basque: Eugenia de Montijo enperatrizaren gaztelua) is a neo-Gothic castle in the village of Arteaga, near Bilbao in the Basque Country of Spain. It is designated a Basque Heritage building.

Urdaibai Bird Center is a nature museum. It provides an excellent observation point from which visitors can enjoy the world of birds and their migratory journeys. It is located in the heart of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve in Vizcaya, Basque Country (Spain) The center opened its doors to the public in 2012 and works in the areas of scientific research and dissemination. It is managed by the Aranzadi Society of Science, an organization which has over 60 years of experience in the research and dissemination of human and natural sciences. Ornithology is included within these fields and the Aranzadi Banding Office has done pioneering work on the Iberian Peninsula.

The Oca river (Basque: Oka) is a river of the Cantabrian slope of the Iberian Peninsula that flows through the lands of Biscay, in the Basque Country (Spain). The Oca river basin is the main part of the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve, a protected area designated as such by UNESCO in 1984. Its naturalistic richness, especially ornithological, was a fundamental basis for this designation and for its declaration as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) in 1994 and its integration into the Natura 2000 Network. In 1992, it was included in the list of Wetlands of International Importance of the RAMSAR Convention by decision of the Council of Ministers.There are other rivers named in the same way; in Spain, there is the Oca river that runs through the province of Burgos and is a tributary of the Ebro. In Russia there is an Oká river that is a tributary of the Volga.

Kortezubi is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the Basque Autonomous Community, northern Spain. It has 412 inhabitants.

Oma forest (“Bosque de Oma” in Spanish) is a work of art created by Agustin Ibarrola, a Basque sculptor and painter. It was painted between 1982 and 1985. The work is located in northern Spain, in a forest near Kortezubi (Bizkaia, Basque Country), in the natural reserve of Urdaibai. It’s located very close to the Santimamiñe cave. It is also known as the "painted forest," or “Bosque Animado” which means “animated forest” in Spanish.The work is considered part of the Land Art movement. Most of the trees are Monterey pines. The projects aims to display the horrible and ghastly harmony between nature and human presence by painting on the trunks of trees, human figures, animals and geometric shapes, some of which are visible only from certain positions. Agustin Ibarrola was inspired by the cave art in the nearby Santimamiñe caves, and he wanted to paint on natural structures with the same technique that cave people used to paint on natural rock formations.
