Lindhurst Wind Farm

Lindhurst is a civil parish and hamlet in the Newark and Sherwood district, is 120 miles (190 km) north west of London, 11 miles (18 km) north of Nottingham the county town, and 3 miles (4.8 km) south east of Mansfield, the nearest market town and bordering its district border. It sits within western Nottinghamshire county, England. At the time of the 2011 census the population was less than 100 people and so actual numbers are not given, instead combined with neighbouring Rainworth for a total of 6,315 residents.

Skegby was a rural district in Nottinghamshire, England from 1894 to 1935. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 based on that part of the Mansfield rural sanitary district which was in Nottinghamshire (the rest becoming Blackwell Rural District in Derbyshire). It consisted of the parishes of Blidworth, Fulwood, Haywood Oaks, Lindhurst, Skegby, Sookholme and Teversal. In 1935 the district was abolished under a County Review Order. Some urbanised parts went to Warsop and Sutton in Ashfield urban districts, with the rest going mainly to Southwell Rural District and part to Basford Rural District.

Mansfield lies two miles to the west. The village of Blidworth is a mile to the south. The A617 dual-carriageway bypasses the village. The roundabout at the western terminus was the starting point for the Mansfield and Ashfield Regeneration Route. The former route through the village is the B6020.

Blidworth Bottoms is a hamlet in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located between Blidworth and Ravenshead. Population details are included in the civil parish of Blidworth. The hamlet consists of Bottoms Farm, the Fox and Hounds public house and a small number of houses. In the 19th century a barn was converted into a Primitive Methodist chapel. Well attended in the 1860s, it had fallen into decline by the 1900s.

Joseph Whitaker School is a secondary school with academy status in Rainworth near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire in England. The school takes its name from Joseph Whitaker, a naturalist who lived in Rainworth at Rainworth Lodge.The school is part of the East Midlands Educational Trust (EMET) which it joined in September 2016. The headteacher is Carey Ayres, who took over from David Bell in 2020. The school has its own sixth form college for post-16 A-Level studies. In November 2012, the school's flagship £1,000,000 sixth form centre opened. It contains teaching rooms, a media suite, various study areas and a café. All post-16 students have access to the school's on-site fitness suite as part of their membership to the sixth form.

Blidworth is a village and civil parish approximately five miles east of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 4,457. Its history can be traced back to the 10th century, although many of the current houses were built in the first half of the 20th century to provide housing for workers at Blidworth Colliery (1926–1989). These are mainly in estates north of Dale Lane, known as New Blidworth. The area around Main Street, west of Beck Lane and including the church, is Old Blidworth, containing some of the oldest buildings. Blidworth Bottoms is a hamlet about 0.5 km south of Old Blidworth.
