Mastrick (Scottish Gaelic: Mastraig) is an area of Aberdeen, Scotland, located on the western fringes of the city around 2.5 miles from the city centre. It currently has a population of 7,365 and an unemployment rate of 1.6%. Residential property in the area is a mix of houses and flats, 23% of which are still council owned. This is around twice the average in Aberdeen City. Mastrick has several shops and is within a short walking distance of Hazlehead Park, Northfield, Sheddocksley, Summerhill and Woodend. Woodend Hospital is a short distance away from Mastrick, as is the hospital complex at Foresterhill. The boundary of Mastrick was George Handsley's house. The local football team is Northstar Community football Club With Ages Under 15's, Under 13's and Under 12's. The Under 15's currently play in the ADJFA "A" League, whereas the Under 13's play in the ADJFA "C" League. The Under 12's play non competitive football.

Bucksburn is an suburb of the city of Aberdeen, Scotland, named after the stream that flows through it. The stream is called Bucks Burn. Bucksburn was formerly a market village before being swallowed up by the spread of the city. The area is bordered by countryside, in particular Kirkhill Forest and the land surrounding Brimmond Hill. Bucksburn was one of the first established villages in Aberdeen, in the time of the Harrying of Buchan in 1308, when Robert the Bruce was present in Aberdeen.

Woodhill House is a large office development on Westburn Road in Aberdeen, Scotland. It was built as the headquarters of Grampian Regional Council in 1977 and then became the offices and meeting place of Aberdeenshire Council in 1996.

Aberdeen North is a burgh constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom and it elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. It was first used in the 1885 general election, but has undergone various boundary changes since that date. There was also an Aberdeen North Holyrood constituency, a constituency of the Scottish Parliament, created in 1999 with the boundaries of the Westminster constituency of at that time. It was abolished in 2011 by the new constituencies of Aberdeen Donside and Aberdeen Central.
