Sutton is a civil parish in Herefordshire, England, about 3 miles (5 km) north-east from the county town and city of Hereford. The major settlement is the village of Sutton St Nicholas which is conjoined with Sutton St Michael, formerly the village of a separate parish. The parish is sometimes referred to as Sutton St Nicholas. Within the parish is Sutton Walls, the supposed site of the palace of the kings of Mercia.

Sutton Walls Hillfort is an elongated ovoid Iron Age Hill fort located 4 miles (6 km) north of the city of Hereford, England. It was added to the Sites and Monuments Record in 1988.

Marden is a village and civil parish in the English county of Herefordshire. Marden village is approximately 7 miles (11 km) due north of the city of Hereford, and is contiguous with the hamlets of Walker's Green and Paradise Green. The parish also includes the hamlet of Burmarsh to the south of the village. The Marches Way long-distance footpath passes through the village and, heading south, then crosses Sutton Walls Hill Fort.A company growing, packing, importing and exporting soft fruit and asparagus is based in the village, and employs more than 2,400 people, predominantly Romanians and Bulgarians, to work on its farms in Herefordshire and Kent.The cattle breeder, Richard de Quincey, lived in Marden from 1922 until his death in 1965.

Lower Lyde is a small village in Herefordshire, around 3 miles (5 km) north of Hereford city centre. It forms part of the Pipe and Lyde civil parish. The village can be easily accessed from the A49 road.The main buildings are Lower Lyde Farm and Lower Lyde Court, a venue for weddings and performing arts events.In the valley below the village are the River Lugg, the Welsh Marches railway line and the Wergins Stone, a prehistoric standing stone.

The Welsh Marches line (Welsh: Llinell y Mers), known historically as the North and West Route, is the railway line running from Newport in south-east Wales to Shrewsbury in the West Midlands region of England by way of Abergavenny, Hereford and Craven Arms and thence (by some definitions) to Crewe via Whitchurch. The line thus links the south of Wales to north-west England via the Welsh Marches region, bypassing Birmingham. Through services from south-west Wales, Swansea and Cardiff to Manchester (hourly in each direction) and from Cardiff to Wrexham, Chester, the north coast of Wales and Anglesey (every two hours in each direction) constitute the bulk of passenger operations on the route.

Moreton-on-Lugg railway station was a station in Moreton-on-Lugg, Herefordshire, England. The station was opened in 1853, closed to passengers in 1958 and closed completely in 1964.

Amberley is a settlement in the civil parish of Marden, in Herefordshire, England. Recorded in the Domesday Book, it was in the hundred of Tornelaus. In the National Gazetteer of Britain and Ireland of 1868, it was listed as being in the hundred of Broxash, about two miles (3.2 km) east of the village church of Marden.Amberley was formerly a township in the parish of Marden, in 1866 Amberley became a separate civil parish, on 24 March 1887 the parish was abolished and merged with Sutton and Bodenham. In 1881 the parish had a population of 34.Amberley has a Grade II* listed chapel built between the 12th and 14th centuries, and restored in 1865. Amberley Court is a 14th-century, 13,000 square feet (1,200 m2) Grade I listed country house.

Holmer and Shelwick is a civil parish in Herefordshire, England. It is immediately to the north of Hereford and includes Holmer, Munstone, Shelwick and Shelwick Green. It is surrounded by rural fields, however the amenities of Hereford are very close by.

Moreton on Lugg is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England. The city and county town of Hereford is approximately 3 miles (5 km) to the south; the market and minster town of Leominster 8 miles (13 km) to the north.The village lies between the A49 trunk road and the Welsh Marches railway line. At the 2001 Census, the population of the village was 952, which had decreased to 920 by the time of the 2011 Census.The settlement is mentioned in the Domesday Book as being in the Hundred of Cutestornes and having eight villagers and five slaves. The name derives from Old English Mōr-tūn (town by a fen), and its proximity to the River Lugg. In Medieval times, the village was listed as Morton Juxta Logge. In the 16th century the Lords of the Manor at Morton-upon-Lugg were the Perrott family.The village had a railway station on the Welsh Marches Line that operated between December 1853 and June 1958. In the early days of railway operation, the railway station at Moreton was notable for having its ticket office inside a hollow oak tree with a circumference of 62 feet (19 m).The Church of St Andrew is a Grade II listed structure which was built around the 15th century and renovated in 1867. The church is in a joint benefice with the Church of St Peter at Pipe and Lyde.On the other east of the River Lugg is Freens Court, investigated by the TV programme Time Team in 1999 as a possible site for the Saxon palace of King Offa. The dig confirmed the existence of a large aisled building but it was thought to date from the mediaeval period.An area north of the village around SO505477 was used for many years by the Royal Army Ordnance Corps for the storage of surplus materials, including the decorations from the July 1969 investiture of the Prince of Wales. The internal railway at the RAOC site was used for training SAS troops to attack railway carriages. When the RAOC site closed in the early 2000s, it was bought by Greatwest Investments Limited for development into a business park.

Preston Wynne is a small village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England. Civil parish population at the 2011 census was 172. Preston Wynne is 5 miles (8.0 km) north-east from Hereford, and 8 miles (13 km) south-east from Leominster. The hamlet of Preston Marsh is to the east of the village. Within the parish is the site of a medieval chapel and ancient ring ditches.

Pipe and Lyde is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England. The parish includes the village of Pipe and Lyde and the hamlets of Lower Lyde and Upper Lyde. The population of the civil parish as taken at the 2011 census was 344. Parts of the church of St Peter date from the 13th century including the south doorway which includes Transitional moulding. James Honeyman-Scott (1956-1982), the Pretenders guitarist, is buried in the churchyard.

Hereford Pegasus Football Club is a football club based in Hereford, England. The club is affiliated to the Herefordshire County FA. Pegasus Juniors Football Club run a total of 23 teams and provide football for all ages, starting from the age of five. The club's first team plays in the Hellenic League Premier Division, and junior teams play in the Herefordshire Junior Football League, Herefordshire Girls Football League or the Midland Junior Premier League.
