Laguna Honda Reservoir

Forest Hill station is a Muni Metro station near the Forest Hill and Laguna Honda neighborhoods in San Francisco, California. It was originally built in 1916 to 1918 as part of the Twin Peaks Tunnel, and is the oldest subway station west of Philadelphia and east of Istanbul The station was originally named Laguna Honda; lettering with that former name is carved on the station headhouse. Scenes from the films Dirty Harry (1971) and Milk (2008) were shot inside of this station.

Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit, publicly funded long-term acute care hospital in San Francisco, California. It was founded in 1866 during the California Gold Rush as an almshouse, and later grew into an asylum, then an accredited hospital in 1963. It has been described as America's "last big almshouse".

Mount Sutro is a hill in central San Francisco, California. It was originally named Mount Parnassus.

KSOL 98.9 FM ("98.9 y 99.1 Que Buena") is a Spanish language radio station in San Francisco, California. KSQL (99.1 FM) simulcasts the station in Santa Cruz. KSOL and KSQL program a format consisting of regional Mexican music and talk shows. Both stations are owned by TelevisaUnivision USA. Its studios are located at 1940 Zanker Road in San Jose, and the KSOL transmitter is on Mount Sutro. The 98.9 frequency is the third station in the San Francisco market to use the callsign KSOL. The first was the AM rhythm and blues station at 1450 AM (the current KEST). Sly Stone was influential in guiding KSOL into soul music and started calling the station K-SOUL. The second was a popular soul music station (sans the K-SOUL moniker), at 107.7 FM (now known as KSAN). The current KSOL is unrelated to the previous two stations.

Sutro Tower is a unique three-legged 977 ft (298 m) tall TV and radio lattice tower located in San Francisco, California. Rising from a hill between Twin Peaks and Mount Sutro near Clarendon Heights, it is a prominent feature of the city skyline and a landmark for city residents and visitors. The tower was the tallest structure in San Francisco from the time of its completion in 1973 until it was surpassed by the Salesforce Tower in 2017. The tower is named after the family of Adolph Sutro, a businessman and former mayor of San Francisco. His grandson, Adolph Gilbert Sutro, built a mansion, La Avanzada, on their property in the highest peaks of San Francisco. In 1948, the mansion and property was sold to the American Broadcasting Company, where it became the original home of their San Francisco operation as KGO Television. KGO then formed a consortium with KTVU, KRON, and KPIX, the three other major San Francisco television broadcasters at the time, to build and maintain the tower. It stands 297.8 m (977 ft) above ground and 552 m (1,811 ft) above sea level. It is the second tallest structure in the city by ground-to-tip height, though its mountain location overlooks the city's downtown skyscrapers.

KQEH, virtual channel 54 (UHF digital channel 30), branded on-air as KQED Plus, is a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member television station licensed to San Jose, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The station is owned by KQED Inc., alongside fellow PBS station KQED (channel 9) in San Francisco, its satellite KQET (channel 25) in Watsonville, National Public Radio (NPR) member KQED-FM (88.5) and KQEI (89.3). The three stations share studios on Mariposa Street in San Francisco's Mission District and transmitter facilities atop Sutro Tower; until January 17, 2018, KQEH's transmitter was located atop Monument Peak. On cable, the station is available on channel 10 on most providers in the market.

KRON-TV (channel 4) is a television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States, serving the San Francisco Bay Area as an affiliate of MyNetworkTV. Owned by Nexstar Media Group, KRON-TV maintains studios on Front Street immediately west of San Francisco's Embarcadero north of the city's Financial District, in the same building as ABC owned-and-operated station (O&O) KGO-TV, channel 7 (but with completely separate operations from that station). The transmitting antenna is located atop Sutro Tower in San Francisco. San Francisco is the second-largest television market where the MyNetworkTV station is not owned and operated by the programming service's parent company, Fox Corporation (the largest being sister station WPHL-TV in Philadelphia).

KRCB, virtual channel 22 (VHF digital channel 5), is a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member television station licensed to Cotati, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Owned by Northern California Public Media, it is a sister station to National Public Radio (NPR) members KRCG-FM (91.1) and KRCB-FM (104.9). The two stations share studios on Labath Avenue in Rohnert Park; the TV station's transmitter is located at Sutro Tower in San Francisco.

KPIX-TV (channel 5) is a television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States, broadcasting CBS programming to the San Francisco Bay Area. It is owned and operated by the network's CBS News and Stations division alongside CW outlet KBCW (channel 44), also licensed to San Francisco. Both stations share studios at Broadway and Battery Street, just north of San Francisco's Financial District, while KPIX's transmitter is located atop Sutro Tower. In addition to KBCW, KPIX shares its building with formerly co-owned radio stations KCBS, KFRC-FM, KITS, KLLC, KRBQ and KZDG, although they use a different address number for Battery Street (865 as opposed to 855).

KQED, virtual channel 9 (UHF digital channel 30), is a Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) member television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States and serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The station is owned by KQED Inc., alongside fellow PBS station KQEH (channel 54) and National Public Radio (NPR) member KQED-FM (88.5). The three stations share studios on Mariposa Street in San Francisco's Mission District and transmitter facilities atop Sutro Tower. KQET (virtual and UHF digital channel 25) in Watsonville operates as a full-time satellite of KQED, serving the Monterey/Salinas/Santa Cruz market. This station's transmitter is located at Fremont Peak, near San Juan Bautista.

KTVU (channel 2) is a television station licensed to Oakland, California, United States, broadcasting the Fox network to the San Francisco Bay Area. It is owned and operated by the network's Fox Television Stations division alongside San Jose–licensed independent outlet KICU-TV (channel 36). Both stations share studios at Jack London Square in Oakland, while KTVU's transmitter is located atop Sutro Tower in San Francisco.

KBCW (channel 44) is a television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States, broadcasting CW programming to the San Francisco Bay Area. It is owned and operated by the CBS News and Stations group alongside CBS outlet KPIX-TV (channel 5), also licensed to San Francisco. Both stations share studios at Broadway and Battery Street, just north of San Francisco's Financial District, while KBCW's transmitter is located atop Sutro Tower. As KBHK, channel 44 was one of the UHF stations built by Kaiser Broadcasting and one of just two commercial UHF stations in the Bay Area to survive a boom-and-bust cycle of new stations in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It was acquired by United Television in 1982 and was one of the launch owned-and-operated stations for the United Paramount Network in 1995. The station has been under its present ownership since 2001 and part of The CW since its 2006 launch. The station was one of the first UHF stations to explicitly market its cable channel position (channel 12 on most Bay Area cable systems) back to the early 1980s on an equal level with its over-the-air channel.
