Boyd School

Berlin Township is one of the fourteen townships of Holmes County, Ohio, United States. It is at the heart of the Holmes County Amish settlement. As of the 2020 census the population of the township was 4,546, up from 4,252 at the 2010 census. As of 2011–15, 38.9% of the population spoke only English, 48.1% spoke Pennsylvania German at home, and 12.3% spoke German. According to the 2019 "ACS 5-Year Estimates Data Profiles", the percentage of English only speakers decreased to 35.7%, while speakers of "other Indo-European languages" (basically Pennsylvania German/German), increased to 64.0% of the township's population.

The Pomerene House is the residence of Atlee Pomerene, United States Senator from Ohio in the early 20th century. President Calvin Coolidge appointed Senator Pomerene as one of two individuals to investigate the Teapot Dome scandal of the Harding Administration. He was one of the two primary sponsors of the Webb-Pomerene Act of 1918, regulating American investments overseas. During the 1928 Democratic National Convention, his name was placed before the convention as a potential presidential candidate.The house was built in 1879 in an Italianate style. It is rectangular with a brick façade over a wood frame. The north face is symmetrical with the front door centered under an arched transom.

Berlin is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in central Berlin Township, Holmes County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census it had a population of 1,447. Located in Ohio's Amish Country, the village is part of a large regional tourism industry.

The Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center is located at 5798 County Road 77 near Bunker Hill in Berlin, Holmes County, Ohio. It houses the Behalt cyclorama, one of a handful of remaining cycloramas worldwide and the only one painted by a single artist. The cyclorama presents the history of Anabaptism. The center also houses the Ohio Amish Library and the Zollikon Institute.

Behalt is a 10-by-265-foot (3.0 by 80.8 m) cyclorama painted by Heinz Gaugel in the late 20th century. The name comes from the German word behalten: to hold onto or to remember. The work illustrates the heritage of the Amish and Mennonite people from the beginnings of Christianity and is displayed in the Amish and Mennonite Heritage Center in Berlin, Holmes County, Ohio. The Columbus Dispatch said it was the "Sistine Chapel of the Amish and Mennonites". One of four existing cycloramas in the US and one of only 16 in the world, Behalt is the only existing cyclorama painted by a single artist.Anabaptist scholar Susan Biesecker-Mast calls it "an effort to exceed the tourist economy of Holmes County by offering a transformative rhetoric for its visitors." She relates the narrative of the mural's creation as a venture by area religious leaders to retain control of the telling of their own story.

Hiland High School is a public high school in Berlin, Ohio, United States. It is a part of East Holmes Local Schools, and the mascot is the Hawks. The school is in the heart of Amish Country, and has received multiple excellent ratings from the state since 2001.

The Inn at Honey Run is a boutique hotel in Holmes County, Ohio near Millersburg in Ohio's Amish Country. The hotel consists of a main building housing 25 rooms and suites and a fine-dining restaurant and lounge; 12 "honeycomb" rooms, which are built into the side of a hill on the property a short distance from the main building and have been compared to hobbit holes; and 2 cottages. All accommodate two people. The hotel is adults-only.The site covers 56 acres and includes a mile-and-a-half walking trail that accesses ten outdoor art installations and thirty haiku. In 2019 the fossilized tooth of a woolly mammoth was found on the property by a hotel guest.The hotel was established in 1982 by Marge Stock and Margret Schlicting. It was owned by Phil Jenkins for a time and was purchased by Jason Nies in 2009.In 2017 Town & Country Magazine wrote that the inn's restaurant, Tarragon, was one of the most scenic in the country according to Open Table.

The Brightman House is a historical house in Millersburg, Ohio first built in 1902. The house is now owned by the Holmes County Historical Society and operated as the Victorian House Museum, with displays of Victoriana and Holmes County history.
