The Missouri Athletic Club's Downtown Clubhouse is a historic building having Renaissance Revival architecture. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.The Missouri Athletic Club has two clubhouses. The Downtown Clubhouse is located at 405 Washington Avenue, at the corner of Fourth Street, adjacent to the entrance to the Eads Bridge on the Missouri side. Designed by William B. Ittner, the clubhouse contains two restaurants, a ballroom, a barber shop, numerous private meeting rooms, a reading room, a billiard parlor, a rooftop deck, more than 75 guest rooms, and full-service athletic facilities. The athletic facilities include weight training, a pro shop, whirlpools, tanning beds, wet and dry saunas, trainers, pros, a masseuse, squash courts, racquetball courts, and handball courts.

The Missouri Athletic Club (often referred to as the MAC), founded in 1903, is a private city and athletic club with two locations. The Downtown Clubhouse is in Downtown St. Louis, Missouri, USA and the West Clubhouse is located in the St. Louis County suburb of Town and Country. The MAC awards the annual Hermann Trophy, the highest award in American college soccer, and the Jack Buck Award (in recognition of enthusiastic and dedicated support of sports in the city of St. Louis). Notable members have included President Harry S. Truman, Charles Lindbergh, Stan Musial, and Alan Shepard. The American Legion was organized there in 1919. Membership was restricted to white men until the late 1960s and men until 1988.

Laclede's Landing is a St. Louis MetroLink station. It is located near Laclede's Landing and Gateway Arch National Park in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Laclede's Landing is the easternmost station in Missouri, located on the lower deck of the Eads Bridge before crossing the Mississippi River into Illinois. The station sits at the east portal of the historic St. Louis Freight Tunnel. Constructed in 1874 to carry trains between the Eads Bridge and the Mill Creek Valley rail yards, it saw its last train (Amtrak) in 1974. Refurbishment of the tunnels began in 1991 in preparation for the opening of MetroLink, which uses the original route to connect Illinois and Missouri via downtown St. Louis. The station is well known for its historic brickwork that frames the Gateway Arch from the platform level. In 2013, Metro's Arts in Transit program commissioned the work Build by Beliz Brother for installation in the station. The aluminum panels are meant to represent the drawings James Eads used to construct his namesake bridge.

Laclede's Landing (), colloquially "the Landing", is a small urban historic district in St. Louis, Missouri. It marks the northern part of the original settlement founded by the Frenchman Pierre Laclède, whose landing on the riverside the placename commemorates. Originally he tasked his 14-year-old stepson, Auguste Chouteau, with the task of preparing the land that sat 10 miles south of the Mississippi-Missouri area. A stone house was erected and named Laclede's home in the village he named "St. Louis" as a homage to King Louis IX of France. Initially Fur trade and trapping was the economic interest that would spark Pierre's interest in using the landing and making his stepson the richest citizen. The area is now decorated with 19th century warehouses and other period buildings.Located just north of Gateway Arch National Park (separated by the overland spans of the Eads Bridge) on the Mississippi River front, the Landing is a multi-block collection of cobblestone streets and vintage brick-and-cast-iron warehouses dating from 1850 through 1900, now converted into shops, restaurants, and bars. The district is the only remaining section of St. Louis' 19th-century commercial riverfront. The landing is home to Bellefontaine Cemetery, which is the resting site for William Clark, including a commemorative monument and sculpture of him.

Horseshoe St. Louis, formerly Lumière Place, is a casino hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. It is owned by Gaming and Leisure Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment.

The Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is a hotel located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. It is well known for its luxury suites and extensive modern art collection said to be worth over $7 million. Due to its central location in the city, it is a popular destination for those attending events at Busch Stadium and the Enterprise Center.

The Security Building is an 11-story building in Saint Louis, Missouri, built in 1892 in what was then the city's downtown financial district. Designed by Boston architects Peabody, Stearns & Furber, the building is of granite on the bottom two floors, with pink limestone and brick above. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and designated an official landmark by the City of St. Louis.It was listed on the National Register in 2000. It was deemed notable due to its architecture and also as one of just eight surviving out of about 30 tall office buildings built in St. Louis in the late 1800s.

Mississippi Nights was a music club in St. Louis, Missouri. It opened on October 11, 1976 and was located at 914 N 1st Street, on the western bank of the Mississippi River, four blocks north of the Gateway Arch in Laclede's Landing. Concerts at the venue, which held up to 1,000 people, were often "all ages" events, with just over one percent restricted to patrons 21 and over.The club is the subject of a song on the album Venue Songs by They Might Be Giants. George Thorogood & the Destroyers' album Live: Let's Work Together features tracks recorded at Mississippi Nights.

The Dome at America's Center is a multi-purpose stadium used for concerts, major conventions, and sporting events in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, United States. Previously known as the Trans World Dome from 1995 to 2001 and the Edward Jones Dome from 2002 to 2016, it was constructed largely to lure a National Football League (NFL) team back to St. Louis and to serve as a convention space. The Dome received its initial main tenant with the arrival of the NFL's St. Louis Rams, who relocated to the city in 1995. The Rams spent the next twenty-one seasons at the Dome, departing after the 2015 NFL season to return to Los Angeles. The St. Louis BattleHawks of the revived XFL began playing at the stadium in early 2020. The Dome provides multiple stadium configurations that can seat up to 82,624 people. Seating levels include a private luxury suite level with 120 suites, a private club seat and luxury suite level with 6,400 club seats, a concourse level (lower bowl) with 28,352 seats, and a terrace level (upper bowl) with 29,400.The Dome is part of the America's Center convention center. The convention portion has a much bigger footprint and adjoins to the west of the Dome, Cole Street to the north, Broadway to the east, and Convention Plaza to the south. The stadium is serviced by the Convention Center MetroLink rail station.

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the United States' central bank. Missouri is the only state to have two main Federal Reserve Banks (Kansas City also has a bank). Located in downtown St. Louis, the St. Louis Fed is the headquarters of the Eighth Federal Reserve District, which includes the state of Arkansas and portions of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, the eastern half of Missouri and West Tennessee. It has branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis. Its building, at 411 Locust Street, was designed by St. Louis firm Mauran, Russell & Crowell in 1924. The Eighth District serves as a center for local, national and global economic research, and provides the following services: supervisory and regulatory services to state-member banks and bank holding companies; cash and coin-handling for the District and beyond; economic education; and community development resources.

Convention Center is a St. Louis MetroLink subway station. It is one of three stations to have an escalator system, with the other two being 8th & Pine and Lambert Airport Terminal 1. This station is located in downtown St. Louis and primarily serves the Dome and convention facilities at America's Center, the Marriott St. Louis Grand Hotel, and the Washington Avenue Loft District. The station was built within the historic St. Louis Freight Tunnel that originally opened in 1874. Built to carry train traffic between the Eads Bridge and the Mill Creek Valley rail yards, it saw its last train (Amtrak) in 1974. Renovation of the tunnels began in 1991 to prepare them for the opening of MetroLink in 1993. In 1992, just east of this station, a portion of the tunnel beneath Washington Avenue and Broadway collapsed, injuring no one.In 1997, Metro's Arts in Transit program commissioned the work Birds in Flight by artists Peter Tao, Helen Lee, and Stuart and Stacey Morse for installation in the tunnel between the Convention Center and Laclede's Landing stations. The painted panels are meant to mimic the motion of a flying bird.On January 20, 2023, Metro Transit announced that Convention Center would undergo a full rehabilitation. These improvements include updating elevator, escalator and stair access, lighting upgrades, improved signage and way-finding, a deep cleaning, and general infrastructure upgrades like new walls and flooring.

The Railway Exchange Building is an 84.4 m (277 ft), 21-story high-rise office building in St. Louis, Missouri. The 1914 steel-frame building is in the Chicago school architectural style, and was designed by architect Mauran, Russell & Crowell. The building was the city's tallest when it opened, and remains the second-largest building in downtown St. Louis by interior area, with almost 1,200,000 square feet (110,000 m2) of space.The building was long home to the flagship store of the Famous-Barr chain of department stores — and the headquarters of its parent company May Department Stores — until Macy's purchased the brand; the store was rebranded as Macy's in 2006. Macy's sold the building in 2008 and closed the store in 2013.In January 2017, Hudson Holdings, a National Historic Property Developer based in Delray Beach, Florida, purchased the building for $20 million.The city of St. Louis was granted an emergency condemnation on 4 Jan 2023, and proceeded to kick out people who appeared to be squatting and board up the building.
