Orange Springs is a historic 52-acre home, farm complex, and former resort spa located near Unionville, Orange County, Virginia, just east of the intersection of US Route 522 and Route 629, located along Route 629, overlooking Terry's Run. The two-story, "L"-plan frame residence on the property was originally constructed in the 1790s as a tavern. It was converted shortly thereafter into a dining room and "dancing room" or ballroom for the spa complex. Orange Springs was in operation as a resort spa from the early 1790s until about 1850, after which the spa building was remodeled and enlarged for a family home. It features a two-story front porch supported by chamfered wooden piers with vernacular Doric order capitals. Also on the property are the contributing frame smokehouse topped with a pyramidal roof, dating from the period of the operation of the Orange Springs spa; a pit greenhouse; ice house; a granary, large barn, and cow shed built in 1916; and frame hen house (1908).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Mount Calvary Baptist Church is a historic church at 11229 Kendall Road in Orange, Virginia. Built in 1892, it is a well-preserved example of a rural church built for African-Americans during the Jim Crow era. It is a frame structure with a metal roof and a projecting square tower topped by a pyramidal roof. The main entrance is at the center of the tower, set in a pointed-arch opening, matching those of windows on the facade on either side. Also on the property is a graveyard, established about 1919, with about 100 marked graves.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Mount Sharon is an historic estate house and plantation remnant in rural Orange County, Virginia. Located off Route 600 about 4 miles (6.4 km) northeast of the city of Orange, the Mount Sharon estate house is a two-story Georgian Revival house built of concrete and faced in brick. It was designed in 1937 by Louis Bancel LaFarge for Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Augustus, on a plantation they purchased in 1935 from the Taliaferro family, which had owned it since the early 18th century. The Augustuses demolished the deteriorating Victorian-era plantation house on the site to build the house, which has restrained exterior styling, and high quality interior woodwork designed by LaFarge.The property, consisting of the estate house, several outbuildings from the 1930s, and 77.5 acres (31.4 ha) of surrounding land (reduced from the more than 1,000 that made up the original plantation), was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

Bloomsbury is a historic home located near Orange, Orange County, Virginia. The original section dates to the early- to mid-18th century, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, frame Colonial dwelling with a steep gable roof and "U"-plan stairway of a form unknown elsewhere in Virginia. It retains nearly all its original late-Georgian interior detailing. It was doubled in size about 1797, with a two-story Federal-period addition that stands at right angles to the original block and is flanked by early shed-roofed end wings. The house was restored in the 1960s. Also on the property are a contributing 19th-century smokehouse, a contributing 18th-century cemetery, and a contributing garden site.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Walnut Grove is an historic Greek Revival-style house in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The house was built in 1840 on land that was purchased by Jonathan Johnson in 1829. Markings on the exposed oak beams indicate that Walnut Grove was built by William A. Jennings. Jennings was recognized as a master builder of Greek Revival homes during that period. Walnut Grove was added to the National Register of Historic Places in August 2004.

Belmont is an unincorporated community in Spotsylvania County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is marked with a highway sign at the intersection of Belmont Road (Route 652) and Orange Springs Road (Route 653) by the Virginia Department of Transportation, however is marked as being the intersection with Belmont Road and Jones Powell Road (Route 653) by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The immediate area has Fletcher's Store and the Belmont Christmas Tree farm. Further south, there are other buildings identifying with Belmont, such as Belmont Baptist Church, the Belmont Ruritan Community Building where the Belmont Ruritan Club meets each evening at 7 p.m. and serves as the district's polling place for registered voters, and the Belmont Fire & Rescue station staffed by Spotsylvania County Volunteer Company 9. The name "Belmont" also refers to the voting district of Spotsylvania County of the same name that covers 48.70 square miles of the southwestern portion of the county, including communities of Granite Springs, Virginia and Paytes, Virginia.

Granite Springs is an unincorporated community in Spotsylvania County, in the U.S. state of Virginia. It is marked by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) as the intersection of Belmont Road (Route 652), Lawyers Road (Route 601), and Granite Springs Road (Route 664). Nearby, communities of Paytes, Virginia and Belmont border on the north and west, respectively, along with the Orange County line serving as a northwestern boundary, and Plentiful Creek forms the south and eastern boundaries.

Prospect Hill (also known as the Littlepage Inn) is a plantation house in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The house was built between 1811 and 1812 by Spotswood Dabney Crenshaw for Waller Holladay. Holladay was elected to several local political positions and also served in the Virginia General Assembly. Waller purchased land around Prospect Hill beginning in 1803 using an inheritance from his half-brother, General Lewis Littlepage. One of the original outbuildings housed the first post office in Spotsylvania in 1809. Holladay and his wife, Huldah, raised 13 children at Prospect hill. One of their sons, James Holladay, was captured at the Battle of Five Forks during the American Civil War - just days before the Confederate surrender at Appomattox Court House. When he was released, James returned to the plantation and restored it to operation. In the 1880s he added a porch surrounding the first floor. This was the only addition to Prospect Hill until 1991. Prospect Hill underwent restoration between 1991 and 1996. The restoration was done by Holladay family members - descendants of Waller and Huldah Holladay. A number of buildings are part of the plantation. In addition to the manor house, seven dependencies which have been restored, the granary and the plantation office.
