Bridport Football Club is a football club based in Bridport, Dorset, England. Affiliated to the Dorset County Football Association, they are currently members of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East and play at St Mary's Field.

R J Balson & Son is a high-street butcher in the market town of Bridport, Dorset. According to the Institute for Family Business, it is the oldest continually trading family business in the United Kingdom. It has been in the Balson family since 1515 when Robert Balson rented a market stall on Bridport Shambles.Since 1892 its butcher's shop has been located at 9 West Allington, Bridport, not far from its original location.It was featured in the BBC Four television programme Hidden Histories: Britain’s Oldest Family Businesses, broadcast on 15 January 2014.

St Mary's Church is an Anglican parish church in Bridport, Dorset, England. It is a Grade I listed building. Part of the Bridport Team Ministry, it is the civic church of the town and principal church of the Parish of Bridport. There is a strong connection with the Bridport United Church (Methodist/United Reformed Church) and the two hold joint services, study groups and children's holiday clubs. The parish is linked with Roumois in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Évreux, Normandy, France. The church has a maximum capacity of 400 and hosts many events. It has a peal of eight bells.

Bridport Museum is a museum in Bridport, Dorset, England. It is housed within an early 16th century building known as the Castle, located on South Street. The building has been Grade II* Listed since 1950.

Allington is a village and civil parish in Dorset, England, 1 mile (1.6 km) north-west from the town of Bridport, with which it is physically contiguous; much of Allington lies within Bridport parish. In the 2011 census Allington civil parish had 371 dwellings, 339 households and a population of 766.Allington Hill rises to 89 metres (292 ft) above the village; it is managed by the Woodland Trust. The hill is characteristic of the Upper Greensand hills and ridges found in the Marshwood and Powerstock Vales National Character Area. In 1086 in the Domesday Book Allington was recorded as Adelingtone; it had 21 households, 3 ploughlands, 10 acres (4.0 ha) of meadow and one mill. It was in Goderthorn Hundred and the lord and tenant-in-chief was Turstin son of Rolf. The parish church at North Allington, dedicated to St Swithun, was designed by Charles Wallis of Dorchester and built in 1826–27, and is a Grade II* listed building. It is in classical style, and is unusual for the survival of a high proportion of the original internal fittings, including the pews, gallery, a pulpit (of two originally present) and glazing.

Bridport is a market town in Dorset, England, 2 miles (3.2 km) inland from the English Channel near the confluence of the River Brit and its tributary the Asker. Its origins are Saxon and it has a long history as a rope-making centre. On the coast and within the town's boundary is West Bay, a small fishing harbour also known as Bridport Harbour. The town features as Port Bredy in Thomas Hardy's Wessex novels. In the 21st century, Bridport's arts scene has expanded with an arts centre, theatre, cinema and museum. In the 2011 census the population of Bridport's built-up area was 13,568. The town is twinned with Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue, France.

Bridport Arts Centre is an arts centre in Bridport, Dorset, England. Founded in 1973, it is housed in and around a 19th-century, Grade II listed building, formerly known as the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel. The complex includes the Marlow Theatre, the Allsop Gallery and a cinema. The centre runs the Bridport Prize, an international literary competition. Annual awards are made in four categories: short stories, poetry, flash fiction and first novel. The winners are announced during the Bridport Open Book Festival. The centre also runs the From Page to Screen Festival, an annual film festival celebrating literary adaptations.

St Peter's Church is a Church of England church in Eype, Dorset, England. Built in 1864–65, the church now also serves as an arts venue, known as the Eype Centre for the Arts.

West Bay, originally known as Bridport Harbour, is a small harbour settlement and resort on the English Channel coast in Dorset, England, sited at the mouth of the River Brit approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south of Bridport. The area is part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. The harbour at West Bay is not a natural landscape feature and it has a long history of having been silted up, blocked by shingle and damaged by storms, and each time repairs, improvements and enlargements have subsequently been made. The harbour has been moved twice: it was originally 1 mile (1.6 km) inland, then was moved to the coast beside the East Cliff, then was moved again 270 metres (300 yd) along the coast to the west, where it is located today. The previous main commercial trade of the harbour—exporting Bridport's ropes and nets—declined in the second half of the 19th century. When the railway arrived in 1884, attempts were made to provide the settlement with the facilities of a resort, and today West Bay has a mixed economy of tourism and fishing.

The Riverside Restaurant was a seafood restaurant in West Bay, England. The building is situated on a causeway and as such the dining area was on two levels with views of the river and beyond to the sea. In 2006 locally based food writer Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall listed it as one of his top five seafood restaurants. In 2004 it was voted one of The Observer newspaper's Top 10 Seafood Restaurants. Fearnley-Whittingstall has also described it as arguably the most child-friendly restaurant in the country. Holy Trinity Church is a Church of England parish church at Bothenhampton, near Bridport in Dorset, England. It was designed and built by the English arts and crafts architect Edward Schroeder Prior in 1887–89. It is a Grade II* listed building.
