Mont Buet

The Grenier de Commune is a 2,775 m (9,104 ft) high mountain in the Chablais Alps in Haute-Savoie, France formed from Late Jurassic pale limestone.

Le Cheval Blanc is a mountain in the Chablais Alps on the Swiss-French border. It overlooks the lake of Vieux Emosson on its eastern side.

Aiguille du Belvédère is a mountain of Haute-Savoie, France. It is the highest peak in the Aiguilles Rouges range of the French Prealps and has an altitude of 2,965 metres (9,728 ft) above sea level. Lying to the northwest of Chamonix, Aiguille du Belvedere is a popular climb as its position high above the Chamonix valley provides it with fantastic views of the Mont Blanc massif to its east and the Bernese Alps to its north. Lac Blanc lies on its eastern slopes.

The Aiguilles Rouges National Nature Reserve is a nature reserve located in the Aiguilles Rouges mountain range in the Haute-Savoie department in southeastern France.

Lac du Vieux Émosson (French pronunciation: [lak dy vjøz‿emɔsɔ̃]) is a reservoir in Valais, Switzerland, in the municipality of Finhaut at an elevation of 2205 m. The lake drains into the reservoir Lac d'Émosson, 300 m below. In September 2014, an increase of the dam by 21.5 meters was completed. The capacity of the lake was thus doubled to 25 million m3. The larger capacity is used for the Nant de Drance pumped storage plant, for which Lac du Vieux Emosson forms the upper basin and Emosson reservoir the lower basin. The storage power plant went into operation on 1 July 2022, after 14 years of construction. The construction of the plant cost the equivalent of 2 billion euros. The installed capacity is 900 MW, and 20 GWh can be stored. The arch dam Vieux Émosson was completed in 1955. Efforts to raise the dam 20 m (66 ft) began in 2013. The lake forms the upper reservoir for the 900 MW Nant de Drance Hydropower Plant which began operations in 2022.

Lac Blanc is a lake in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Haute-Savoie, France.

The Aiguilles Rouges ("Red Needles") are a crystalline mountainous massif of the French Prealps, opposite the Mont Blanc Massif. The colour of the iron rich gneiss (metamorphique) mountains gives the range its name. The highest summit is the Aiguille du Belvédère at 2,965 metres (9,728 ft). At the southern end of the range, Le Brévent at 2,525 metres (8,284 ft) is accessible by a cable car in the Planpraz and the Brévent sections.

Lac d'Anterne is a lake near Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, in the commune of Passy in the Haute-Savoie department of France. It is located in the Sixt-Passy nature preserve.

Lac Cornu is a lake in the Aiguilles Rouges massif of Haute-Savoie, France. It is located at an elevation of 2276 m with a surface area of 5.4 ha. Petit Lac Cornu is located 500 m North West, at an elevation of 2243 m. Its surface area is 4700 m².

Le Buet station (French: Gare du Buet) is a railway station in the commune of Vallorcine, in the French department of Haute-Savoie. It is located on the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge Saint-Gervais–Vallorcine line of SNCF.

Les Perrons (or Le Perron) is a mountain of the Chablais Alps, located on the border between Switzerland and France. The main summit (2,674 m) is named Grand Perron. It overlooks the Lac d'Emosson on its northern side.

The Nant de Drance Hydropower Plant is a pumped-storage power station in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It is within the municipality of Finhaut, district of Saint-Maurice and about 14 km (8.7 mi) southwest of Martigny. Construction on the power plant began in 2008 and it began operations in 2022. It is owned by Nant de Drance SA, a consortium of Alpiq (39%), SBB (36%), Industrielle Werke Basel (15%) and Forces Motrices Valaisannes (FMV) (10%). The US$1.9 billion plant has an installed capacity of 900 MW and an energy storage capacity of 20 GWh.
