The Butts Ground

Butts Park Arena is a multi-use sports stadium in Spon End, Coventry, England. Its main use is as a rugby stadium (both union and league). It is the home ground for Coventry R.F.C. (since its opening) and was the home of Midlands Hurricanes (who moved there for the start of the 2004–05 season as Coventry Bears). It was also formerly the home ground of the Coventry Jets, an American football team. From the 2017–18 season, the stadium is also the home of Coventry United, a non league football club and their Ladies team who play in the second tier FA Women's Championship. The stadium has also hosted the local varsity day matches between Coventry University and the University of Warwick.

Coventry United Football Club is an English association football club based in Coventry in the West Midlands. The team competes in the United Counties League Premier Division South, the 9th tier of English football, and is managed by Ellis Alleyne. The club was founded in 2013 by chairman Jason Kay along with three co-chairmen, Jason Timms, Marcus Green and Pete Schofield and Club secretary Graham Wood following a takeover of Coventry Spartans in reaction to Coventry City moving from the Ricoh Arena to Northampton to play at Sixfields Stadium. Edwin Greaves had been in charge of the club since its formation until Spring 2016, when he was replaced by Terry Anderson. On 4 July 2015, the club announced the takeover of Coventry City Ladies F.C, re-branding the ladies side Coventry United Ladies F.C.; this arrangement ended in June 2023 when the women's team was rebranded as Rugby Borough W.F.C.

St Thomas' Church was in Albany Road, Coventry, West Midlands, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building, but by 1973 was no longer in ecclesiastical use.

Spon End Viaduct is a railway bridge which spans the River Sherbourne in Spon End, just west of the city centre of Coventry in central England.

Vignoles Bridge is a footbridge over the River Sherbourne in Spon End, a western suburb of Coventry in central England. It stands just west of the inner ring road in the middle of a housing estate, to where it was relocated in 1969. It was built in 1835 and originally spanned the Oxford Canal. The bridge is a single-span cast-iron arch and is a scheduled monument.

Earlsdon is a residential suburb and electoral ward of Coventry, England. It lies approximately one mile to the southwest of Coventry City Centre. It is the birthplace of aviation pioneer Frank Whittle.

The Old Windmill is a public house in Spon Street in Coventry, England. It is a Grade II Listed, 15th-century building with a history going back to around 1451 when it constructed around the trunk of a tree.

The Criterion Theatre is situated in Earlsdon, Coventry, England. It puts on about seven shows a year. The company has won the Godiva Award for best theatre in the region several times. The current patrons are Pete Waterman, music producer and railway preservationist, born in Coventry and Ron Cook, stage and screen actor of Thunderbirds and Doctor Who fame, who first acted as an amateur at the Criterion. The Coventry born actor, Sir Nigel Hawthorne (1929–2001), was a former patron.

St Osburg's Church also known as the Church of the Most Holy Sacrament and St Osburg is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Coventry, West Midlands. It was built from 1843 to 1845 and was designed by Charles Hansom. It is situated in the city centre on the junction between Holyhead Road and the Coventry Ring Road. It was founded by the Benedictines from Downside Abbey and is a Grade II listed building.

Queens Road Baptist Church is a Baptist church located in the city centre of Coventry, England. The chapel is a grade II listed building.

Coundon Road Stadium in Coventry was the home ground for Coventry R.F.C. from 1921 to 2004. The stadium has now been demolished. The first game at the ground was against United Services, Portsmouth, with Coventry R.F.C. losing 13–3. The biggest crowd at the ground was reputedly 18,000 for an England versus Wales Schools' International on 12 March 1939. In the modern era, just over 8,000 people attended the National League One match between Coventry R.F.C. and Newcastle on 2 November 1996, which was a record for the league until 2004.The stadium had two stands; the Main (Road) Stand and the terraced Cowshed, though additional temporary structures were put in place for some representative games at the ground. The two stands only had minor alterations in their 83 years of existence. However, a clubhouse was opened in 1959, next to the Main Stand. Their final game at the ground was a 34–20 victory for Coventry R.F.C. against Manchester R.F.C. on 17 April 2004, with an attendance of 2,200. Coventry R.F.C moved to the Butts Park Arena in September of that year, with the old stadium being demolished during November. The site has now been developed as a housing estate by Bryant Homes. Apartment houses on the site are named after former Coventry R.F.C. players including David Duckham, Bert Godwin and Peter Jackson.
