St Thomas' Church, Coventry

Vignoles Bridge is a footbridge over the River Sherbourne in Spon End, a western suburb of Coventry in central England. It stands just west of the inner ring road in the middle of a housing estate, to where it was relocated in 1969. It was built in 1835 and originally spanned the Oxford Canal. The bridge is a single-span cast-iron arch and is a scheduled monument.

The Butts Ground was a cricket ground in Coventry, Warwickshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1872, when Coventry played a United South of England Eleven. The first county match held at the ground came in 1882 when Warwickshire played Staffordshire, although this match was not first-class. Warwickshire used the ground for first-class cricket from 1925 to 1930, playing the final first-class match held at the ground against Hampshire. The site is today occupied by buildings.

Butts Park Arena is a multi-use sports stadium in Spon End, Coventry, England. Its main use is as a rugby stadium (both union and league). It is the home ground for Coventry R.F.C. (since its opening) and was the home of Midlands Hurricanes (who moved there for the start of the 2004–05 season as Coventry Bears). It was also formerly the home ground of the Coventry Jets, an American football team. From the 2017–18 season, the stadium is also the home of Coventry United, a non league football club and their Ladies team who play in the second tier FA Women's Championship. The stadium has also hosted the local varsity day matches between Coventry University and the University of Warwick.

Coventry United Football Club is an English association football club based in Coventry in the West Midlands. The team competes in the United Counties League Premier Division South, the 9th tier of English football, and is managed by Ellis Alleyne. The club was founded in 2013 by chairman Jason Kay along with three co-chairmen, Jason Timms, Marcus Green and Pete Schofield and Club secretary Graham Wood following a takeover of Coventry Spartans in reaction to Coventry City moving from the Ricoh Arena to Northampton to play at Sixfields Stadium. Edwin Greaves had been in charge of the club since its formation until Spring 2016, when he was replaced by Terry Anderson. On 4 July 2015, the club announced the takeover of Coventry City Ladies F.C, re-branding the ladies side Coventry United Ladies F.C.; this arrangement ended in June 2023 when the women's team was rebranded as Rugby Borough W.F.C.

The Old Windmill is a public house in Spon Street in Coventry, England. It is a Grade II Listed, 15th-century building with a history going back to around 1451 when it constructed around the trunk of a tree.

Spon End Viaduct is a railway bridge which spans the River Sherbourne in Spon End, just west of the city centre of Coventry in central England.

St Osburg's Church also known as the Church of the Most Holy Sacrament and St Osburg is a Roman Catholic Parish church in Coventry, West Midlands. It was built from 1843 to 1845 and was designed by Charles Hansom. It is situated in the city centre on the junction between Holyhead Road and the Coventry Ring Road. It was founded by the Benedictines from Downside Abbey and is a Grade II listed building.

Spon Street (sometimes referred to as Historic Spon Street or Medieval Spon Street) is an historic street in central Coventry, in the West Midlands of England. The street was once part of a route that ran from Gosford to Birmingham – a route which remained intact (though superseded by more modern roads) until the 1960s. During the construction of Coventry's Inner Ring Road, built to relieve traffic on the narrow city centre streets, Spon Street was cut in half and the route severed.

Spon End is a suburb of Coventry, England. It is situated west of Coventry city centre. The Butts Park Arena and a Premier Inn hotel are situated on the main road through Spon End. The Butts Park Arena, which was opened in 2004, is the home of Coventry Rugby Football club. Coventry Bears rugby league club and Coventry United and Coventry United L.F.C. football clubs are tenants of Coventry Rugby club and also play at Butts Park Arena where an all-weather pitch has been installed. Coventry Bears rugby league club were tenants until 2022. The hotel is located in a building that used to be the home of City College Coventry (formally called Coventry Technical College, often previously referred to as "The Butts"). That building also houses a community arts centre called The Albany Theatre. The headquarters of the Government department Ofqual - The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation - is located between the hotel and the rugby ground. The railway line linking Coventry and Nuneaton passes over the River Sherbourne on Spon End Viaduct. The river then continues through the area under Spon Bridge, through a post-war housing estate, and under Vignoles Bridge before entering a culvert at the edge of the city centre. The area was historically connected to the city centre by Spon Street, though this ceased when the Coventry Inner Ring Road was built, cutting Spon Street in half. Adjacent areas besides the city centre include Earlsdon and Chapelfields.
