Tobyhanna station

Tobyhanna is an unincorporated American community that is located in Coolbaugh Township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Despite its name, it is not located in Tobyhanna Township.

Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) (previously known as Tobyhanna Signal Depot) is a 'full-service electronics maintenance facility' tasked to provide logistical support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Systems for the United States Department of Defense. The depot was established on February 1, 1953, in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, near Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.It is the largest industrial employer in Northeastern PA. It supports the "sustainment, overhaul and repair, fabrication and manufacturing, engineering design and development, systems integration, technology insertion, modification, and global field support." TYAD also facilitates the United States Air Force Technology Repair Center for tactical ballistic missiles, rigid-wall shelters, and portable buildings.

Tobyhanna National Forest was established in Pennsylvania by the United States Forest Service on April 10, 1925, with 20,870 acres (84.5 km2) from part of the Tobyhanna Military Reservation. On October 10, 1928, the executive order for its creation was rescinded and the forest was abolished.

Gouldsboro State Park is a 2,880-acre (1,165 ha) Pennsylvania state park in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County and Lehigh Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania in the United States. The park includes the 250-acre (100 ha) Gouldsboro Lake. Gouldsboro State Park is located very close to Tobyhanna State Park and Pennsylvania State Game Lands 127 and 312. It is on Pennsylvania Route 507 near the small village of Gouldsboro.

Pocono Mountains Regional Airport (IATA: MPO, ICAO: KMPO, FAA LID: MPO) is a public airport two miles northwest of Mount Pocono, in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. It is owned by the Pocono Mountains Regional Airport Authority. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a general aviation facility.

Stillwater Lake is a reservoir that covers approximately 315 acres (1.27 km2). The lake is located in Pocono Summit, Pennsylvania at an elevation of 1,811 feet (552 m). Fed by Dotter's Run, Hawkeye Run, Pocono Summit Creek, and several underground springs, the lake flows out to Lake Naomi via Tunkhannock Creek. There are several Tunkhannock Creeks in the Poconos. This one merges with the Tobyhanna at Pocono Lake. The Tobyhanna flows into the Lehigh, and ultimately into Delaware Bay. The lake is currently home to Stillwater Estates, and to Camp Minsi, a facility owned by the Boy Scouts of America's Minsi Trails Council.

The Pocono Mountains, commonly referred to as the Poconos (), are a geographical, geological, and cultural region in Northeastern Pennsylvania. They overlook the Delaware River and Delaware Water Gap to the east, Lake Wallenpaupack to the north, Wyoming Valley and the Coal Region to the west, and the Lehigh Valley to the south. The name Pocono is derived from the Munsee word Pokawachne, which means "Creek Between Two Hills". Much of the Poconos region lies within the Greater New York–Newark, NY–NJ–CT–PA Combined Statistical Area. The wooded hills and valleys have long been a popular recreation area, accessible within a two-hour drive to millions of metropolitan area residents, with many Pocono communities having resort hotels with fishing, hunting, skiing, and other sports facilities. Although referred to usually as a mountain range, the area is actually a dissected plateau, a sub-section of the larger Allegheny Plateau, forming a 2,400-square-mile (6,200 km2) escarpment. The topological mountains are also a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains.

Pocono Mountain West High School is a large, rural high school located in Pocono Summit, Pennsylvania in the Poconos region of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Pocono Mountain West is part of the Pocono Mountain School District and opened in 2002 to accommodate the growing population of the Pocono Mountain area. As of the 2021-22 school year, the school had 1,565 students, according to National Center for Educational Statistics data.Prior to 2002, all high school students in the district attended one school called Pocono Mountain High School. Since 2002, students in the district have been assigned to Pocono Mountain West or Pocono Mountain East based on geography. The school served 1,901 students in grades 9th through 12th. It had 114 classroom teachers in 2013.

Tobyhanna State Park is a Pennsylvania state park on 5,440 acres (2,201 ha) mostly in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County, with a small portion of the park in Dreher and Lehigh townships in Wayne County, all in Pennsylvania in the United States. The park includes the 170-acre (69 ha) Tobyhanna Lake and a portion of Tobyhanna Creek. It is located 2.1 miles (3.4 km) north of the town of Tobyhanna, with the main park entrance on Pennsylvania Route 423, and a portion (Yellow hiking trail) that borders on Pennsylvania Route 196. The park lies immediately adjacent to Gouldsboro State Park, Pennsylvania State Game Lands 312, and State Game Land 127.

Pocono Summit is an unincorporated community and census-designated place that is located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. Parts of Pocono Summit are located in the municipalities of Coolbaugh and Tobyhanna townships.

Pocono Pines is a census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The population in the 2020 United States Census was 2,007, an increase over the 1,409 population at the 2010 census.

Lake Naomi is a 277-acre (1.12 km2) lake with private beaches and marinas located in Pocono Pines, Pennsylvania in the Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. The community of Lake Naomi Club is a resort community that includes 1,400 families who own property surrounding Lake Naomi.
