Ochanomizu

Kanda-Surugadai (神田駿河台, Kanda-Surugadai) is a district of Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. It was named after Tokugawa Ieyasu's death, when the Edo government allowed officials from Sunpu (now Shizuoka) to live in the area. Kanda-Surugadai is often called Surugadai (駿河台, Surugadai) or, colloquially, Sundai (駿台, Sundai). The main building and campus of Meiji University is in the district. The headquarters of the Japanese Trade Union Confederation (Rengo) is located in Kanda-Surugadai.

Holy Resurrection Cathedral (復活大聖堂, fukkatsu daiseidō, Russian: Токийский собор Воскресения), also known as Nikorai-do (ニコライ堂, nikorai-dō), in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is the main cathedral of the Japanese Orthodox Church.

Ochanomizu Station (御茶ノ水駅, Ochanomizu-eki) is a railway station in Tokyo, Japan, operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metro.

Shin-ochanomizu Station (新御茶ノ水駅, Shin-ochanomizu-eki) is a subway station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan, operated by Tokyo Metro. Its station number is C-12. Adjacent stations on the Chiyoda Line are Otemachi (C-11) and Yushima Station (C-13). Transfers are also possible to Awajicho Station (M-19) on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and Ogawamachi Station (S-07) on the Toei Shinjuku Line. East Japan Railway Company (JR East) Ochanomizu Station on the Chūō and the Chūō-Sōbu Lines lie above it at ground level.

Casals Hall (カザルスホール, Kazarusu Hōru) is a concert hall in Ochanomizu, Tokyo, Japan. It is named in honour of cellist Pau Casals. The hall opened in 1987 as a venue for chamber music and has a shoebox-style auditorium which seats 511. Arata Isozaki was the architect, with acoustic design by Nagata Acoustics. In 1997, for the tenth anniversary celebrations, a 41 stop organ by Jürgen Ahrend was installed.The hall had originally been owned and sponsored by publishers Shufunotomo Company (主婦の友社) but economic conditions resulted in the withdrawal of funding in 2000. In 2003 Nihon University acquired the Ochanomizu Square Building, of which the hall forms part, from the company. On 31 March 2010 the university closed the hall. A campaign has been launched to reopen the hall by the Save Casals Hall Committee, with pianist Iwasaki Shuku (岩崎淑) the chair and Marta Casals Istomin, Pablo Casals' widow, an honorary adviser.

Meiji University Museum (Japanese: 明治大学博物館（めいじだいがくはくぶつかん）, romanized: Meiji Daigaku Hakubutsukan) is a university museum run by Meiji University. It is located in Surugadai campus, and houses a crime museum, commercial goods museum, archaeology museum, and an exhibition of the university's history.

Meiji University (明治大学, Meiji Daigaku), abbreviated as Meiji (明治) or Meidai (明大), is a private research university located in the heart of Tokyo, Chiyoda City. Tokyo Medical and Dental University (東京医科歯科大学, Tōkyō ika shika daigaku) is a Japanese national university located in Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1928, it was the first national school of dentistry in Japan. TMDU is one of top 9 Designated National University and selected as a Top Type university of Top Global University Project by the Japanese government, and offers baccalaureate and graduate degrees in medicine, dentistry, and related fields. The university ranked 217th in the world and 7th in Japan in 2010.

Yushima Seidō (湯島聖堂, lit. 'Yushima Sacred Hall'), is a Confucian temple (聖堂) in Yushima, Bunkyō, Tokyo, Japan. It was established in end of the 17th century during the Genroku era of the Edo period. Towards the late Edo period, one of the most important educational institutions of the shogunate, the Shōhei-zaka Gakumonjo (昌平坂学問所)), or Shōheikō (昌平黌), was founded on its grounds.

Bunka Gakuin (文化学院) is a Japanese vocational school. It opened in 1921 as the first co-educational school in Japan.

Ogawamachi Station (小川町駅, Ogawamachi-eki) is a subway station in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the Tokyo subway operator Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation (Toei). The station opened on March 16, 1980.

Ogawamachi (小川町), or formally Kanda-Ogawamachi (神田小川町), is a district in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. It consists of 3 chōme. As of March 1, 2007, the district's population is 875. Kanda-Ogawamachi is located on the northern part of Chiyoda. It borders Kanda-Sarugakuchō, Kanda-Surugadai and Kanda-Awajichō to the north, Kanda-Sudachō to the east, Kanda-Nishikichō, Kanda-Tsukasamachi and Kanda-Mitoshirochō to the south, and Kanda-Jinbōchō to the east. A commercial neighborhood, Kanda-Ogawamachi is home to a number of buildings and stores. Notably, many sporting-goods stores can be found on Yasukuni-Dori Ave. Since the district is located adjacent to Kanda-Jinbōchō, home to a massive book town, several publishers and bookstores can be found as well.
