Northop Hall Cricket Club Ground

St Mary's Church, Northop Hall is an Anglican congregation within the Parish of Northop, Northop Hall and Sychdyn, in the Deanery of Mold and the Diocese of St Asaph, the Church in Wales. The church was built 1911–12 of a design by L.W. Barnard of Cheltenham, a prolific architect. The original design was to include a tower, but this was never fully built. A rather abbreviated top was only added in 1962.Of particular note are the barrel ceiling and the organ which is of outstanding quality. The instrument was built in 1931 by Messrs. Rushworth & Dreaper, Liverpool and the opening recital was given by Dr. Middleton, then organist at Chester Cathedral. By utilising the reverberant acoustics of the church, the power of the organ is perfectly matched to the building into which it has been installed. To mark the 75th anniversary of its construction, well-attended organ recitals were given in 2006. The choristers of St. Asaph Cathedral also sang evensong in the church that year, accompanied by John Hosking on the organ.

Maes y Grug is a Site of Special Scientific Interest at Alltami in the preserved county of Clwyd, north Wales. The site was a former colliery and consists of a large pond surrounded by deciduous woodland along with smaller ponds, marshland and grassland surrounded by farmland used for grazing. The site has SSSI status due mainly to the presence of the Great Crested Newt and is a Special area of Conservation (SAC). Access to the site is by footpath from the car park.North East Wales Wildlife and Flintshire County Council own the site.

Alyn and Deeside (Welsh: Alun a Glannau Dyfrdwy) is a parliamentary constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom (at Westminster). The constituency was created in 1983, and it elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first-past-the-post method of election. The Alyn and Deeside Senedd constituency was created with the same boundaries in 1999. The constituency is to retain its name and gain wards, as part of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies and under the June 2023 final recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Wales for the next United Kingdom general election.

Northop Hall (Welsh: Neuadd Llaneurgain) is a large village and community near Mold, in Flintshire, Wales. Located to the east of Northop, near the A55 North Wales Expressway, the village is largely residential in character. At the 2001 Census, the village of Northop Hall had a population of 1,665, falling to 1,530 at the 2011 census.The village has one pub, The Top Monkey (formerly known as The Boar's Head); until recently there was a second, the Black Lion, and they were universally known locally as the 'Top Monkey' and 'Bottom Monkey'. There are active cricket and hockey clubs. The hall that gives the village its name is a 13th-century manor house which is located in close proximity to Smithy Lane and the Mold to Connah's Quay road. It was the most important house in Northop parish. It was occupied by local aristocracy including the Evans family, ancestors of author George Eliot. The original Northop Hall is now a private house and not to be confused with Northop Hall Country House Hotel which is Victorian and located elsewhere in the village.

Top-y-Fron Hall is a country house in the community of Connah's Quay, Wales. In 1977 it became a Grade II* listed building.

The Flintshire Coalfield in north-east Wales is one of the smaller British coalfields. It is in the county of Flintshire and extends from the Point of Ayr in the north, along the Dee Estuary through Connah's Quay to Caergwrle in the south. A small part extends onto the Wirral i.e. English coast of the estuary at Neston, Cheshire which was the site of a coalmine for a period. The coal-bearing strata continue southwards of Caergwrle as the Denbighshire Coalfield. Together the two coalfields are known as the North Wales Coalfield.

Alltami is a small village in Flintshire, in northeast Wales northwest of Buckley and northeast of Mold. It lies on the A494 road which runs from Ellesmere Port to Dolgellau. There is a stream running through the village, Alltami Brook. There is a crossroads at Alltami with traffic lights; they were proposed to be installed in February 1981.

Soughton Hall is a Grade II* listed country house hotel in Sychdyn, Flintshire, Wales. Notable guests that have stayed include Luciano Pavarotti, Michael Jackson and King Juan Carlos I of Spain. William John Bankes inherited Soughton Hall in the 1815. The parks and gardens are listed as Grade II* in the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

Oakenholt is a village in Flintshire, Wales. It is situated to the south east of the town of Flint, near the A548 road. At the 2001 Census, the population of the Flint Oakenholt Ward was 2920.In 2017 a major archaeological excavation began in the village to find evidence of any settlement during the Roman occupation of Britain.

Northop (Welsh: Llaneurgain) is a village, community and electoral ward situated in Flintshire, Wales, approximately 12 miles west of the city of Chester, midway between Mold and Flint, and situated just off junction 33 of the A55 North Wales Expressway. At the 2001 Census, the population of Northop was 2,983, increasing to 3,049 at the 2011 census. The community includes Sychdyn. The village is home to two pubs, a cricket club, and a golf course. At the centre of the village stands the church of St Eurgain and St Peter, towering 98 feet above the village. Northop College based in Northop, offering horticultural courses for students of all ages, in areas such as Animal Care, floristry, Horse Care, Horticulture and agricultural machinery. Wrexham University has a campus based in Northop; this is the university's home for land-based and rural education, and a centre for courses on animal studies and biodiversity.

New Brighton (Welsh: New Brighton; sometimes unofficially Pentre Cythraul, 'devil's village') is a small village in Flintshire, in north-east Wales. It lies between the towns of Mold and Buckley, in the community of Argoed. New Brighton lies on the A5119 road and has a hotel, the Beaufort Park Hotel. A New Brighton electoral ward exists, formed from the northern half of the Argoed community, with a total population taken at the 2011 census of 3,001. It forms part of an "Argoed and New Brighton" (Welsh: Argoed a New Brighton) council electoral ward.Some residents refer to it by its Welsh name Pentre Cythraul, though the Welsh name was not recognised by the Welsh Language Commissioner in 2018, causing local people to ask for this to be reviewed. Pentre Cythraul translates to "the devil's village", although said to have been possibly derived from Pentre Catherall, named after industrialist Josiah Catherall who built some of the village's rows of houses. In their list of standardised Welsh place-names in Flintshire as of November 2023, the Commissioner states the recommended name in Welsh, for Flintshire County Council to use, is "New Brighton".

Connah's Quay High School (CQHS, Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Cei Connah) is an 11–16 mixed, English-medium, community comprehensive secondary school in Connah's Quay, Flintshire, Wales. A £2.3 million science, English and music wing was completed in October 2002, after a two-year project also involving extensions and redevelopment of the existing buildings. When Prince Andrew, Duke of York visited the school to declare the new block officially open, the opening ceremony was interrupted by a fire alarm caused by a hot tea urn. Connahs Quay High School underwent further modernisation in 2018, with the demolition and complete rebuild of the old food and design wing.
