Azadliq Square (Azerbaijani: Azadlıq meydanı), in Baku is the biggest city-centre square in Azerbaijan. It lies next to Baku Boulevard.

The Baku City Circuit (Azerbaijani: Bakı Şəhər Halqası) is a motor racing street circuit located in Baku, Azerbaijan constructed near Baku Boulevard. A lap of the circuit is 6.003 km (3.730 mi), making it the third-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar (after Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Jeddah Street Circuit). The inaugural Formula One race at the circuit was the 2016 European Grand Prix and its support events. A year later, in 2017, the circuit held the inaugural Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The event is organised by Baku City Circuit Operation Company (Azerbaijani: Bakı Şəhər Halqası Əməliyyat Şirkəti).

The Monument to Alexander Pushkin (Azerbaijani: Aleksandr Puşkinin heykəli) is a monument to the Russian poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The monument is located in the park with the same name at the intersection of Pushkin and Uzeyir Hajibeyov streets. The author of the bronze monument is the sculptor, and academician of the Russian Academy of Arts - Yuri Orekhov. This monument is the last work of Orekhov.

Khagani Alley (or Khagani Street) is a road from Rasul Rza alley to Kovkab Khanim Safaraliyeva alley. There are many historical monuments of the 16th to 20th centuries on the street, as well as a statue and three parks. The road is 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) in length.

The French-Azerbaijani University (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan-Fransız Universiteti, French: L'Université franco-azerbaïdjanaise, UFAZ) was created in 2016 on the initiative of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and French President François Hollande as a joint project led by the University of Strasbourg and the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

Park Bulvar (English: Park Boulevard) is a multi-storey shopping mall located on Baku Boulevard, downtown Baku, Azerbaijan. The mall is located 5 minutes of walking distance from Sahil Metro station of Baku Subway and Government House of Baku. The building has all architectural attributes of the East and modern art of the West. It consists of six floors, including two underground floors. The general area of the mall is 17,000 square metres. It also has a parking lot for 550 automobiles. The mall was built by Baku Plaza Ltd for $41.5 million on 7,500 square metres of land. The mall contains about 99 stores ranging from 50 square metres to 370 metres in size, one large 1,207 square metre supermarket, 6 hall movie theatre, planetarium and 3D cinema, "Happy Land" children's playground, photo studio, VIP restaurants overlooking the Baku Bay of Caspian Sea, bowling halls, food courts, etc. The first and second floors feature luxury shops and cafes. The mall has restaurant offering Turkish, Russian, Italian, Chinese, Mexican and Azerbaijani cuisine. The opening of the mall was attended by President Ilham Aliyev and his family. Since its opening the mall has created over 700 jobs.

The Azerbaijan State Song Theatre named after Rashid Behbudov (Azerbaijani: Rəşid Behbudov adına Dövlət Mahnı Teatrı) is located in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, on Rashid Behbudov Street, and is named after Rashid Behbudov, who founded it in 1968.The theatre building was originally built as a synagogue in 1901. It is in the Greek Revival style, with an Ionic order portico, and in the ornamented pediment there is a central lyre where a representation of the Tablets of Stone once featured. The theatre's repertoire consists of folk songs, mugams and tasnifs, as well as works of national composers like Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Gara Garayev, Fikrat Amirov and Tofig Guliyev. Popular artists, such as Zaur Rzayev, Ilhama Guliyeva, Mubariz Taghiyev, Azar Zeynalov, Zohra Abdullayeva and Aybaniz Hashimova, worked in the theatre.

The Church of the Saviour (Azerbaijani: Xilaskar kilsəsi; German: Erlöserkirche, also known as the kirkha, from the German word "Kirche" (church)) is a Lutheran church in Baku, Azerbaijan (28 May Street), built with donations by parishioner Adolf Eichler and consecrated on March 14, 1899. It is now a Ministry of Culture and Tourism-owned concert hall. The Gothic-style church features a portal crowned with a decorated pediment. While Azerbaijan's Evangelical community ceased to exist in 1936, the church survived the Stalinist period because of petitions to Joseph Stalin in which the petitioners promised, in return for sparing the church, to pray for him till death. Nevertheless, Pastor Paul Hamburg and seven other members of the local Lutheran community were executed by firing squad on November 1, 1937. The land parcel of 1400 square sazhens (6,373 square metres (0.6373 ha; 1.575 acres)) for the church was assigned by the City Duma on January 30, 1885. Local residents asked Eichler to make the church similar to one in Helenendorf, but he instead used his own unique style. The cornerstone-laying ceremony was held on Sunday, March 21, 1896 with the Baku governor Lileyev and the city head Iretsky being present. Emmanuel Nobel, his stepmother and Ludvig Nobel's second wife also attended the ceremony. The church's name was announced at that moment. On June 24, 1898, a thirteen-pud (213 kilograms (470 lb)) gilded cross was raised atop the church. In early 1899 a bell and an organ were installed. The consecration ceremony gathered over one thousand people. On April 23, 1900 the church housed its first organ concert, where Johann Sebastian Bach's works were performed. On December 1, 1996, the Nobel family remembrance evening was held in the church. In 2001 the church was closed for renovation work.

The Azerbaijan State Oil Academy shooting (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Dövlət Neft Akademiyasında terror hadisəsi) occurred on 30 April 2009, at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (ASOA), a public university in Baku, Azerbaijan. Twelve people were killed (students and staff members including the Deputy Principal of the institution) by an armed assailant and several others were wounded. A joint statement by the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office identified the perpetrator as 28-year-old Farda Gadirov, a Georgian citizen of Azerbaijani descent.Two buses of special forces had arrived at the scene. According to Ehsan Zahidov, a spokesman for Interior Ministry, the special troops conducted an operation while people reportedly having been held hostage were released. Three cartridge belts with capacity of forty and seventy one bullets along with two magazines were taken from Gadirov's body.

Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (formerly Azerbaijan State Oil Academy) (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Dövlət Neft və Sənaye Universiteti, Азәрбајҹан Дөвләт Нефт вә Сәнаје Университети (ADNSU)) is a tertiary education institution in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Crescent Development Project or The Crescent Bay (formerly known as Caspian Plus) is skyscraper complex which is under construction on the Caspian Sea coast in Baku, Azerbaijan. The complex comprises an offshore hotel (Crescent Hotel), office tower (Crescent City), residential tower, and a retail and entertainment centre (Crescent Place). The project is intended to be an architectural landmark.
