Beverly Hills is a southern suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Beverly Hills is located 15 kilometres southwest of the Sydney central business district and is part of the St George area and is split between the local government areas of the Georges River Council and the City of Canterbury-Bankstown. The postcode is 2209, which it shares with neighbouring Narwee. Beverly Hills is mostly residential, consisting of many freestanding red brick and tile bungalows built in the years immediately after World War II. Many of these feature late Art Deco design elements. Medium density flats have been built in the areas close to King Georges Road and Stoney Creek Road.

Narwee is a suburb in southern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Narwee is located 18 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the St George area. Narwee is in local government areas of City of Canterbury-Bankstown and Georges River Council. The postcode is 2209, which it shares with neighbouring Beverly Hills. The main street of Narwee is Broadarrow Road, which runs from King Georges Road in Beverly Hills to just past Bonds Road in Riverwood. Broadarrow Road is also the boundary line between the southern part of the City of Canterbury-Bankstown and the northern part of the Georges River Council areas.

Narwee railway station is located on the East Hills line, serving the Sydney suburb of Narwee. It is served by Sydney Trains T8 Airport & South line services.

Narwee High School (abbreviation:NHS), known from 1958-1991 as Narwee Boys' High School (abbreviation:NBHS), is a former high school in the south-western Sydney suburb of Narwee, New South Wales, Australia. Narwee High School operated as a boys' high school from January 1958 until December 1990. However, due to declining enrolments, the school became co-educational in January 1991. This was not a saving grace however, and due to a continuing decline in student numbers, the school was declared surplus to the needs of the New South Wales Department of Education and Training and was officially closed in December 2001. The closure was associated with the reorganisation of high schools in the district, and the formation of the Georges River College whereby students from various local high schools feed into a senior college campus. On 5 November 2003, a major fire broke out on the top floor of a three-story building in the disused school causing extensive damage. There are currently plans to redevelop the site for a mixture of low and medium density private housing, with preservation of some open space for public use. In late 2005, demolition work commenced and was completed by March 2006.

Penshurst Mosque is a mosque in the southern Sydney suburb of Penshurst, in the St George area. The mosque is supervised by the Australian Islamic Society of Bosnia and Herzegovina Inc. The Penshurst Mosque was acquired in 1986 by the Bosnian community at 445-447 Forest Road, Penshurst. For over 30 years the mosque has been serving the needs of the Muslim community with a long history of co-existence and tolerance.

2NBC FM is a community radio station based in Kogarah, Sydney. Its broadcast area is the suburbs in the south and inner west of Sydney covering the area known as St George. This includes the municipalities of Canterbury, Hurstville, Rockdale, Marrickville, and Kogarah. NBC FM is a volunteer-run organisation and is funded through listener support, grants and limited commercial sponsorship. The station celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2013.

Roselands is a suburb to the south-west of the Sydney CBD, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Roselands is located 16 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district in the City of Canterbury-Bankstown. It is one of the easternmost suburbs in the Western Sydney area and is one of the major suburbs in Sydney without a train station.

The St George region of Sydney is part of the southern suburbs of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The area includes all the suburbs in the local government area of Georges River Council and the part of Bayside Council which was Rockdale City prior to 2016. This is everything within the boundaries of Salt Pan Creek to the west, The Georges River to the south, Botany Bay to the east and the M5 Motorway and Wolli Creek to the north. This area corresponds to the southern portion of the cadastral Parish of St George, from which the region derives its name and the area was later covered by the St George County Council, the electricity supplier for the councils in this region. This southern portion of the parish below The M5 and Wolli Creek is the more contemporary definition of The St George Region that is considered part of Southern Sydney. The northern portion of the Parish of St George that's north of The M5 and Wolli Creek but south of the Cooks River is considered South-Western Sydney rather than Southern Sydney. This northern portion of the cadastral parish was formerly in the City of Canterbury but now within the amalgamated City of Canterbury-Bankstown. In some instances, the whole cadastral Parish of St George (both north and south) is grouped together and considered the inner south-west due to its geographical location from Sydney CBD.

Marist Catholic College Penshurst is an independent systemic Roman Catholic co-educational secondary school located in Penshurst, a southern suburb of Sydney, Australia. The school currently caters for approximately 1000 students from Years 7 to 12. Since 2020, the school has been split among two campuses, Years 7–8 at South Hurstville, and Years 9–12 at the original site in Mortdale (commonly referred to as being in Penshurst).
