Beth Rivkah Ladies College or Beth Rivkah Lubavitch is an Orthodox Jewish, comprehensive, primary and secondary day school for girls, located on Balaclava Road, East St Kilda in Melbourne, Australia. Established in 1956 and managed by the Chabad-Lubavitch movement's Yeshivah Centre, it goes from kindergarten to Year 12. Most of its students come from non-Chabad families. Shimon Waronker became the principal in 2020.

Yeshivah College, officially Yeshivas Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch (Hebrew: ישיבה אהלי יוסף יצחק ליובאוויטש), is an independent Orthodox Jewish comprehensive single-sex primary and secondary Jewish day school for boys, located in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda East, in Victoria, Australia. The school is run by the Chabad-Lubavitch movement's Yeshivah Centre, and caters for students from kindergarten through to Year 12.

Ohel Chana is an Orthodox Jewish seminary for women located in Melbourne, Australia. It is part of the Chabad Lubavitch hasidic movement. The center is managed by Rebbetzin Rivkah Groner. The seminary is named after Chana Schneerson, the mother of the last Rebbe of Chabad Lubavitch, Menachem Mendel Schneerson. The center was founded in 1971.

St Kilda East is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 6 km south-east from Melbourne's Central Business District. It is located within the local government areas of the City of Glen Eira and the City of Port Phillip. At the 2011 Census, St Kilda East had a population of 12,576. St Kilda East is one of the more diverse and densely populated suburbs of Melbourne. It has a prominent Hasidic Jewish community, descended from Polish and Russian immigrants. Quiet and residential, it is quite different from the adjacent suburb of St Kilda. However, the area around Carlisle Street is very diverse with a strong arts, alternative and indie community.

Caulfield Grammar School is an independent, co-educational, Anglican, International Baccalaureate, day and boarding school, located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1881 as a boys' school, Caulfield Grammar began admitting girls exactly one hundred years later. The school amalgamated with Malvern Memorial Grammar School (MMGS) in 1961, with the MMGS campus becoming Malvern Campus. Caulfield Grammar has three-day campuses in Victoria, Caulfield (Years 7–12), Wheelers Hill (Kindergarten–Year 12), and Malvern House (Kindergarten–Year 6). It has an outdoor education campus at Yarra Junction, and a student centre in Nanjing, China where the Year 9 internationalism programme is conducted. Caulfield Grammar is the only Melbourne-based APS school to provide boarding for both boys and girls, with 95 boarding students, and is the second largest school in Victoria, currently catering for 3,315 students.

Balaclava railway station is located on the Sandringham line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Balaclava, and opened on 19 December 1859.Balaclava is an elevated station, and is located above the Carlisle Street rail overpass.

St Mary's College (formerly Christian Brothers College, St Kilda) is an independent Catholic secondary school for boys and girls, located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school was founded in 1878 and is both one of the oldest private schools in Melbourne and the only co-educational Catholic school in inner Melbourne. Originally founded as Christian Brothers College, St Kilda, and run by the Christian Brothers, the school has long since had a lay teaching and administrative staff. The school is member of Edmund Rice Education Australia and is also a member of Associated Catholic Colleges. St Mary's consists of two campuses. The Edmund Rice Campus (formerly CBC St Kilda) in St Kilda East and the Presentation Campus (formerly PCW Melbourne) in Windsor. Until 2020, there was a campus solely for Year 9 students located in Balaclava which opened in 2008.

The King David School is an independent comprehensive co-educational early learning, primary, and secondary progressive Jewish day school, located in Armadale, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The school currently caters for approximately 800 students from early learning to Year 12, and is affiliated with the Victorian Union of Progressive Judaism.

Attica is a fine-dining restaurant in Melbourne, Australia, owned and operated by Ben Shewry. It has won several awards in Australia, and has been included in The World's 50 Best Restaurants since 2010. Its current position on the list places it as the top restaurant in Australia. The restaurant was opened by Dr David Maccora (an emergency doctor at Malvern's Cabrini Hospital) and his wife Helen, in a converted suburban bank building. After two chefs failed to attract sufficient patronage at the restaurant the Maccoras employed Ben Shewry (formerly at St Kilda's Circa) in 2005, giving him full creative control of the menu. In January 2015 the Maccoras sold the restaurant to Shewry.
