Niedersachsenhalle is an exhibition hall located in Hanover, Germany and part of Hannover Congress Centrum. It covers an area of 1,627 m2 and has a seating capacity of 1,512 people. It is used for events such as trade fairs and concerts. Notable past performers include Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Rory Gallagher, AC/DC, Frank Zappa, and many others.

The Stadthalle Hannover (Municipal hall) is a concert hall and event venue in Hanover, the capital of Lower Saxony, Germany. The large hall is called Kuppelsaal, after its dome. The hall was opened in 1914. It is the largest hall for classical music in Germany, seating 3,600. Severely damaged during World War II, it was restored slightly altered. The hall is now part of the Hannover Congress Centrum. The listed historic building is a landmark of the city.

The 1st Panzer Division (German: "1. Panzerdivision", short: "1. PzDiv") is an armoured division of the German Army. Its headquarter is based in Oldenburg. In the course of the last reorganisation of the Bundeswehr it became the backbone of Germany's newly formed intervention forces with a manpower of 35,000 soldiers. The division is equipped and trained for high intensity combat operations against militarily organized enemies as well as peacekeeping missions. The majority of all German troops assigned to EU-Battlegroups and Nato Response Forces will come from this division. It also represents Germany's permanent contribution to the binational I. German/Dutch Corps. The 43rd Mechanized Brigade of the Royal Netherlands Army is integrated into the 1st Panzer Division since 2019.

The Eilenriedestadion (also known as the 96-Stadion) is a football stadium in Hanover, Germany. It is the home ground of the reserve team of Bundesliga club Hannover 96, Hannover 96 II, and is situated at the edge of the Eilenriede forest in the centre of the city.

The University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover (German: Tierärztliche Hochschule Hannover, TiHo) is a university in Hanover and one of the five facilities for veterinary medicine in Germany, and the only one that remains independent. It is often referred to as TiHo by its staff and students. According to the website, there are currently about 2,400 university students, 2,000 of which study veterinary medicine, and 50 study biology. The staff has 1000 members, for example 63 professors and 250 other scientific assistants. The rest is mostly engaged in the 5 clinics and 13 institutes for pretty much every field of veterinary medicine. The clinics have an average of 49,000 patients a year (hospitalized, outpatient and polyclinical care), and of course, there are a lot of apprentices in related professions. The school also maintains a botanical garden specializing in medicinal and poisonous plants, the Heil- und Giftpflanzengarten der Tierärztlichen Hochschule Hannover.

Hanover Zoo is located in the city centre, or Mitte borough, of Hanover, Germany. The zoo was established on 4 May 1865, and comprises an area of 22 hectares (54 acres). It contains about 3,414 animals in 237 species, which are cared for by more than 400 employees in the summer season.

Hannover-Zoo (also called Zooviertel, rarely called Hindenburgviertel) is a quarter of the city of Hanover. Located within the quarter is the eponymous Hanover Zoo, also known as the Hanover Zoological Gardens. Part of the borough Hanover-Mitte, it has 4,952 inhabitants (2020).The quarter is home to the Hanover Congress Center, whose complex contains the historic Stadthalle Hannover, as well as the Stadtpark Hannover, the city park of Hanover built on the grounds of the first Bundesgartenschau of 1951. The entire northern part of the Eilenriede belongs to the district. As such, the Lister Tower is also located in the Zoo district and not in the List district. The Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover is headquartered at the Neues Haus plaza in the quarter. There are two high schools in the district, the Sophienschule and the Kaiser Wilhelm and Ratsgymnasium. On Gellertstraße street is the Neo-Romanesque church of St. Elisabeth. The former Jewish Hospital Hannover was also located in the district. The later Reich President Paul von Hindenburg lived in the Zoo district from 1919 to 1925, from which the name Hindenburgviertel was derived. The city of Hanover had appointed Hindenburg as honorary citizen and gave him a villa. The Hindenburgvilla is now the seat of the Fritz Behrens Foundation.The zoo district is considered a desirable residential area containing upscale historic buildings with significantly above-average rents and real estate prices.

The Eisstadion am Pferdeturm is an ice arena in Hannover, Germany. It is primarily used for ice hockey and is the home of the Hannover Indians. It opened in 1959 and holds 4,608 spectators.

The Eilenriede is a 640-hectare (1,600-acre) municipal forest in Hannover, Germany. It is the largest urban city forest in Germany, and also one of the largest in Europe. The Eilenriede is nearly twice the size of Central Park. The biggest German urban "park" in the strict sense of the word, however, is the Englischer Garten München, with "only" 375-hectare (930-acre). (See also List of urban parks by size)

Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media) (HMTMH) is an artistic-scientific university in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany. It dates back to 1897. From 1962 until 2010 it was named Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover (University of Music and Drama Hanover), short: Musikhochschule Hannover. Since 2010, the president has been Susanne Rode-Breymann. As of 2013, the university has approximately 1,443 students, taught by 361 teachers in 33 courses for musicians, actors, music teachers, musicologists and media scholars.

The Stadtarchiv Hannover is the municipal archive of the German city of Hannover, the capital of Lower Saxony. Originating before 1300 and still with strong medieval holdings, it holds the collected documents produced by the mayor, the city council and administration. Its earliest surviving document dates to 1241, and the only pre-modern gap in its records results from the Knochenhauer-Amtshaus-fire of 1428. The catalogue was stored offsite during World War II and survived, although building registry documents were destroyed by bombing in 1943. A flash flood in 1946 also destroyed 19th-century documents.

The Klosterkammer Hannover (Hanover Monastic Chamber), based in Hanover, is a special authority within the scope of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture. It administers former ecclesiastical, mediatized property and maintains churches and convents. In addition, as a foundation body (Stiftungsorgan), it administers four independent foundations under public law. The Klosterkammer maintains and promotes church, social and educational projects. It is one of the oldest and most traditional state authorities in Lower Saxony, whose forerunner organisation was founded in the 16th century.
