Quechee, Vermont

The Quechee Historic Mill District encompasses the historic heart of the village of Quechee, Vermont, a well-preserved 19th-century mill village. Extending along Quechee Main Street between the Old Quechee Road and the Quechee-West Hartford Road, the village was settled in the 1760s, and has an industrial history extending into the 20th century. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) is a non-profit environmental education organization based in Quechee, Vermont. Its mission is to motivate individuals and communities to care for the environment through education, research, and avian wildlife rehabilitation.

Mid Vermont Christian School (MVCS) is a Christian PK-12 school in Quechee, Vermont (despite having a White River Junction postal address). In 1999 Cassie Horner of The Windsor Chronicle described the school as "intentionally non-denominational".In 2005 Jessica T. Lee of the Valley News described the school as "tight-knit".In 2023 MVCS forfeited a basketball tournament when the school refused to play against a team with a trans athlete on the roster. The school was subsequently banned from all State tournaments for violating Vermont’s anti-discrimination policies. MVCS responded by filing a federal lawsuit alleging infringement of religious freedoms.

The Joseph and Daniel Marsh House is a historic farmstead at 1119 Quechee Main Street, just outside the village Quechee in Hartford, Vermont. Built in 1793, it was the home of Joseph Marsh, one of Hartford's early settlers and the first Lieutenant Governor of Vermont. Now the Quechee Inn, the property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Quechee Gorge Bridge is a historic bridge, carrying U.S. Route 4 (US 4) across Quechee Gorge, near the Quechee village of Hartford, Vermont. Built in 1911, it is Vermont's oldest surviving steel arch bridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Quechee Gorge is located in Quechee, Vermont along U.S. Route 4. The gorge is 165 feet deep and is the deepest gorge in Vermont. It serves as a popular tourist attraction in Quechee State Park and can be viewed from the U.S. Route 4 bridge and from trails on both sides of the gorge. Many people from around New England flock to the gorge for the views. The Ottauquechee River flows through the bottom of the gorge and is a popular whitewater kayak run.

The Dewey House is a historic house at 173 Deweys Mills Road in Hartford, Vermont. Built in 1876 by a local mill owner, and remodeled in 1903, it is a high quality local example of residential Colonial Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Jedediah Strong II House is a historic house at the junction of Quechee Main Street and Dewey's Mill Road in Hartford, Vermont. Built in 1815 by a local mill owner, it is a fine local example of a high-style Federal period brick house. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It now houses professional offices.

The Quechee State Park is located on US Route 4 in Quechee, Vermont. The park land is owned by the US Army Corps of Engineers and leased from by the State of Vermont. The park contains the Quechee Gorge, a popular Vermont tourist stop. The land was originally the site of the Dewey wool mill which ceased operation in 1952 and relocated to Enfield, New Hampshire. Shortly after the closing of the Mill the US Army Corps of Engineers acquired the property as part of its regional flood control plan. A hydroelectric dam sits at the north end of the gorge. Activities include camping, hiking, swimming, river fishing, picnicking, wildlife watching and winter sports.Camping facilities include 45 tent/trailer sites and 7 lean-to sites, two bathrooms with showers and a sanitary dump station. There is also a large field and play area, a picnic area next to Quechee Gorge with a pit toilet and a hiking trail along the gorge.

The Quechee Ski Area is a small ski mountain in Quechee, Vermont, United States. The mountain has 13 trails and 3 lifts: 1 quadruple chairlift, 1 T-bar and 1 H-tow. The main lift, "Quadzilla" services the top of the ski area, going from an altitude of 640 feet to 1,220 feet, for a vertical drop of 580 feet; the rope tow and t-bar are part of the beginner area. It is a part of the Quechee Club.

The Theron Boyd Homestead is a historic farm property on Hillside Road in Hartford, Vermont. The centerpieces of the 30-acre (12 ha) property are a house and barn, each built in 1786. The house, little altered since its construction, is one of the finest early Federal period houses in the state. The property is owned by the state, which has formulated plans to open it has a historic site. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Hartford is a town in Windsor County, Vermont, United States. It is on the New Hampshire border, at the intersection of Interstates 89 and 91. It is the site of the confluence of the White and Connecticut rivers; the Ottauquechee River also flows through the town. The town is composed of five unincorporated villages: Hartford, Quechee, West Hartford, White River Junction and Wilder. As of the 2020 census, the population was 10,686.
