Springbank (Old Lyme, Connecticut)

The Lieutenant River is a 3.7-mile-long (6.0 km) tidal river located in Old Lyme, Connecticut. It joins the Connecticut River in the estuary, just above the point where that river flows into Long Island Sound. The river has a public boat launch and is a popular fishing spot.The Lieutenant River is popular among artists and photographers. A number of American impressionist artists, including Childe Hassam, painted views of the river while staying at the Florence Griswold House in Old Lyme.The Florence Griswold Museum was designed with windows that have sweeping views of the Lieutenant River.

The Florence Griswold Museum is an Art Museum at 96 Lyme Street in Old Lyme, Connecticut centered on the home of Florence Griswold (1850–1937), which was the center of the Old Lyme Art Colony, a main nexus of American Impressionism. The Museum is noted for its collection of American Impressionist paintings. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993. The site encompasses 12-acres of historic buildings, grounds, gardens, and walking trails.

The Peck Tavern is a historic tavern (now a private residence) at 1 Sill Lane in Old Lyme, Connecticut. With a construction history that may date to the 17th century, it is one of the town's oldest buildings, and was an important local meeting place in the 18th century. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 12, 1982.

The Old Lyme Historic District encompasses the historic village center of Old Lyme, Connecticut. Located mainly on Lyme Street south of Interstate 95, the village, settled in the mid-17th century, has an architectural history dating to the early 18th century, flourishing as a shipbuilding center and home to many ship captains. The Duck River Cemetery, also known as the Old Lyme Cemetery is the communal burying ground of the town of Old Lyme, Connecticut. The earliest surviving grave marker dates from 1676, Renold Marvin's gravestone. A tidal stream known as the Duck River and a salt marsh bisect the burying ground.

The Amtrak Old Saybrook–Old Lyme Bridge is the last crossing of the Connecticut River before it reaches Long Island Sound. It is a Truss bridge with a bascule span, allowing boat traffic to pass through. The bridge is owned by Amtrak and used by Northeast Regional, Acela Express, Shore Line East and a few freight trains traversing the Northeast Corridor. It can be seen from the Raymond E. Baldwin Bridge (Interstate 95 and U.S. Route 1), as well as from various points on Route 154.

Watch Rock Park is a 25-acre park in Old Lyme, Connecticut owned by the Old Lyme Conservation Trust. It is located off Joel Road at the point where the Duck River (Connecticut) flows into the Connecticut River, just above the point where the Connecticut flows into Long Island Sound.

The Jedidiah Dudley House, (also known as the John Whittlesey Jr. House) is a historic house on Springbrook Road in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. Built in the second half of the 18th century, it is a good example of period architecture, and is notable for its association with a family of ferry operators on the nearby Connecticut River. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
