The Florence Griswold Museum is an Art Museum at 96 Lyme Street in Old Lyme, Connecticut centered on the home of Florence Griswold (1850–1937), which was the center of the Old Lyme Art Colony, a main nexus of American Impressionism. The Museum is noted for its collection of American Impressionist paintings. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993. The site encompasses 12-acres of historic buildings, grounds, gardens, and walking trails.

The Old Lyme Historic District encompasses the historic village center of Old Lyme, Connecticut. Located mainly on Lyme Street south of Interstate 95, the village, settled in the mid-17th century, has an architectural history dating to the early 18th century, flourishing as a shipbuilding center and home to many ship captains. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The Peck Tavern is a historic tavern (now a private residence) at 1 Sill Lane in Old Lyme, Connecticut. With a construction history that may date to the 17th century, it is one of the town's oldest buildings, and was an important local meeting place in the 18th century. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on April 12, 1982.

Lyme-Old Lyme High School is a public high school in Old Lyme, Connecticut. It serves grades 9 through 12 and is the only high school operated by Lyme-Old Lyme Schools.

Springbank is a historic country estate at 69 Neck Road in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Built upon a small core structure dating from around 1730, the main house consists of an 1844 Greek Revival brick structure, to which a number of Colonial Revival additions and alterations were made between about 1930 and 1945. The property also includes formal gardens designed by landscape architect Marian Cruger Coffin. The property is notable as a well-documented and preserved smaller-scale example of her work. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 17, 2001.

The Old Lyme Congregational Church is located in Old Lyme, Connecticut. The church is noted as a favorite subject of Old Lyme Art Colony painters. It is affiliated with the United Church of Christ.

The Duck River Cemetery, also known as the Old Lyme Cemetery is the communal burying ground of the town of Old Lyme, Connecticut. The earliest surviving grave marker dates from 1676, Renold Marvin's gravestone. A tidal stream known as the Duck River and a salt marsh bisect the burying ground.

The Duck River is a short, partly tidal stream in Old Lyme, Connecticut. It joins the Connecticut River in the estuary at Watch Rock Park, just above the point where the Connecticut flows into Long Island Sound.The river bisects the Old Lyme Cemetery. The Duck River is popular among artists and photographers.

Watch Rock Park is a 25-acre park in Old Lyme, Connecticut owned by the Old Lyme Conservation Trust. It is located off Joel Road at the point where the Duck River (Connecticut) flows into the Connecticut River, just above the point where the Connecticut flows into Long Island Sound.

The Amtrak Old Saybrook–Old Lyme Bridge is the last crossing of the Connecticut River before it reaches Long Island Sound. It is a Truss bridge with a bascule span, allowing boat traffic to pass through. The bridge is owned by Amtrak and used by Northeast Regional, Acela Express, Shore Line East and a few freight trains traversing the Northeast Corridor. It can be seen from the Raymond E. Baldwin Bridge (Interstate 95 and U.S. Route 1), as well as from various points on Route 154.

The Lyme Academy of Fine Arts is an art school in Old Lyme, Connecticut. From 1992 to 2019 it was a degree-granting institution, and from 2016 it was constituent college of the University of New Haven, as Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts.

Old Lyme is a coastal town in New London County, Connecticut, United States, bounded on the west by the Connecticut River, on the south by the Long Island Sound, on the east by the town of East Lyme, and on the north by the town of Lyme. The town is part of the Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region. The main street of the town, Lyme Street, is a historic district with several homes once owned by sea captains. The town has had for many years a thriving art community. Its principal institutions include the Florence Griswold Museum, the Lyme Art Association, and the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts. Several seasonal beach communities are in Old Lyme, such as Point O' Woods, Hawk's Nest, and Miami Beach. The town is named after Lyme Regis, England. The town of Old Lyme contains several villages, including Black Hall, Laysville, Soundview, and South Lyme. The total population of the town was 7,628 at the 2020 census.
