Dubai Zoo (Arabic: حديقة حيوان دبي) was a 1.5-kilometre (0.93 mi) zoo located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was originally built in 1967 by a Dubai resident when Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum, the late Ruler of Dubai, permitted Otto J. Bulart to build a zoo on a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) plot in Jumeirah. It is still the oldest zoo in the Arabian Peninsula. It was considered a Dubai landmark in the late 1960s as it indicated the "town's end". In 1971 the management of the Dubai Zoo was taken over by the Dubai Municipality. During the first couple of years of its existence, the Dubai Zoo housed only a few animals like the big cats, monkeys and hoofed-animals. There was also a small aquarium with some fishes and reptiles. From May 1986 to May 1989, a part of the zoo was redesigned and rebuilt. From June 1989 to the present there has been constant re-designing and renovation. Dubai zoo is the first Arabian zoo to breed the rare chimpanzee and the Arabian or Gordon's wildcat (Felis silvestris gordoni).In recent years, the Dubai Zoo has come under fire for the conditions in which its animals are housed. Animal rights activists and even hotels and tourist websites encourage the boycotting of the facility. Cages in which the animals are trapped were reportedly so small that the animals can barely move. The zoo has closed since November 2017 and all animals were relocated to the new Dubai Safari Park. They no longer live in cages and have an open habitat with a lot more space to move around.

Al Bada'a (Arabic: البدع) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Al Bada is located in western Dubai and is bordered by the localities of Jumeirah, Al Hudaiba and Al Satwa. Al Bada is largely residential and is bounded by D 92 (Al Wasl Road) and D 90 (Al Satwa Road). The Iranian Hospital is located in Al Bada.

The Etihad Museum (Arabic: متحف الاتحاد), historically called the Union House (Arabic: دار الاتحاد) and formerly as the al-Diyafah Palace and the Jumeirah Guesthouse, is a museum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates that collects, preserves, and displays the heritage of the United Arab Emirates in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. It holds everything from old passports to personal artifacts of the rulers of United Arab Emirates. The historic signing of the Constitution of the United Arab Emirates, the raising of the first UAE flag, and the formation of the United Arab Emirates as a country on 2 December 1971 took place within the area that forms the museum today. The museum is designed as a document to signify the signing of the UAE constitution. It costs 25 AED (6.81 USD) for an adult to visit it.

Jumeirah Mosque (Arabic: مسجد جميرا) is a mosque in Dubai, Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Construction began in 1976; the mosque is built in traditional Fatimid style which originated from Syria and Egypt. Opened in 1979, the Jumeirah Mosque visit has been a key activity under the 'Open Doors. Open Minds.' programs of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU). The Jumeirah Grand Mosque was a gift from the Late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the former Ruler of Dubai and father of the current Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It is said that it is the most photographed mosque in all of Dubai. Organized tours are available for non-Muslims. It is open for all to visit whether you're a Muslim or not.

The Iranian Hospital (Arabic: المستشفى الإيراني) (Persian: بیمارستان ایرانی) in Dubai is located on the Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah. Inaugurated on 14 April 1972, it was built by and is affiliated to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, and is the oldest known provider of healthcare services in Dubai. Most of the hospital's medical staff are from the Iranian community in the UAE. It is a private hospital and comes under Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The hospital building features an exterior of blue tilework inspired by Persian architecture, similar to the Iranian Mosque located across the road. The Iranian consulate is also nearby.

City Walk (aka City Walk Dubai) is an urban precinct in the Al Wasl Community of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, providing a partially pedestrianised shopping and leisure neighbourhood.Meraas is a major developer in the City Walk area. City Walk covers over 900,000 square meters of land, developed in two phases including commercial and residential areas, providing a destination for tourists. Attractions in the area include The Green Planet bio-dome and the Coca-Cola Arena. it is close to Al Safa Road, Al Wasl Road, and Sheikh Zayed Road.

The Green Planet is a "bio-dome" (indoor zoo and garden) in the City Walk area of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has over 3,000 plants and animals in an artificial tropical rainforest including birds, reptiles, and fish. They are kept in open environments, but may not be touched.The Green Planet indoor ecosystem was opened in 2016, with 3,000 plants and animals. The attraction was created by Meraas.The bio-dome is cube-shaped and was built as an expansion to CityWalk on Al Wasl Road. It is 60,000 square feet in area and the building's exterior is divided into two parts diagonally. One part is cylindrical with glass, while the other is covered with small circular apertures.At the centre of the bio-dome, there is an 82-foot (25-meter) tall tree with an artificial trunk. A small bridge connects to the tree, which can only hold up to four people at a time. There is also an artificial waterfall. Visitors enter on the fourth floor via a lift and walk down using a spiral slope. In addition, there is a lift and stairs to access animals in the basement. Reptiles are on display at every level, with information about them.Animals on display include sloths, flying foxes, Seba bats, anaconda snakes, and a bearcat. It is possible for visitors to camp overnight at The Green Planet.

Al Satwa (Arabic: السطوة) is a community in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, comprising high-density retail outlets and private residential dwellings. It is located southwest of Bur Dubai and adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road. Originally, its residents were mainly of the Baloch tribe. As the government provided better houses for emaratis staying here, only few Arabs are found residing here. Notable features include the Iranian Hospital, Satwa Grand Mosque and the Al Satwa bus terminal. Al Satwa is known for its large South Asian community, especially Filipino Nationals. It is often referred to as mini-Manila by Filipino community. E 11 (Sheikh Zayed Road) forms the southern boundary of Al Satwa, Jumeirah 1 borders its northern area. Satwa is the subject of the critically acclaimed spoken word piece/photo-novella, Satwa stories, by Mahmoud Kaabour and Denise Holloway of Veritas Films. The project highlights the hidden gems and iconic characters of the Satwa neighborhood through poetry, photography, and music.
