Lake Ellyn Park is a 28.7-acre (11.6 ha) public park located at 645 Lenox Road in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The park is centered around Lake Ellyn, an artificial lake created for the Hotel Glen Ellyn in 1889. The hotel burned down in 1906, and Glen Ellyn citizens proposed turning the land into a public park; however, as Glen Ellyn did not have a park district, it lacked the legal authority to buy the land. The city's residents voted to create a park district in 1919, and the new district bought the land and added park facilities in the early 1920s.The park's main building is the Lake Ellyn Recreation House, which was built in 1937. Designed by Frederick G. Walker and built with the help of the Works Progress Administration, the building features a large recreation space with a fireplace and views of the lake. In 1968, the landscaped Ruth Candy Parkway and the Perry Nature Preserve were added to the park; both were preexisting Park District properties that bordered the park.The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 7, 2017.

Stacy's Tavern is a historic wayside stagecoach inn in the village of Glen Ellyn in DuPage County, Illinois. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on October 29, 1974.

Glenbard West High School is a public four-year high school located at the corner of Ellyn Avenue and Crescent Boulevard in Glen Ellyn, a western suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Glenbard Township High School District 87. The West campus draws students from Glen Ellyn (primarily north of Illinois Route 38), a small portion of Lombard, and portions of Wheaton, Glendale Heights and Carol Stream.

The Glen Ellyn Main Street Historic District is a set of eleven buildings in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The houses were built between 1874 and 1890 when the village was known as Prospect Park. The swampy setting of the village began to gain a reputation as a retreat away from the city, and by 1882 the village was large enough for incorporation. Wealthy businessmen built homes along the main stretch of the village in what would become the historical district. In the mid-1880s, a river was dammed, creating Lake Glen Ellyn, spurring the new name for the village.

The station is located 22.4 miles (36.0 km) away from Ogilvie Transportation Center, the eastern terminus of the West Line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Glen Ellyn is in zone E. As of 2018, Glen Ellyn is the ninth busiest of the 236 non-downtown stations in the Metra system, with an average of 1,929 weekday boardings. Unless otherwise announced, inbound trains use the north platform and outbound trains use the south platform. The middle track does not have platform access. As of May 30, 2023, Glen Ellyn is served by all 58 trains (29 in each direction) on weekdays, by all 20 trains (10 in each direction) on Saturdays, and by all 18 trains (nine in each direction) on Sundays and holidays. Glen Ellyn station is located at ground level and consists of two side platforms. Three tracks run between the platforms, though one does not access the station. There is a station house next to the inbound (north) track, which is open from 5:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Tickets are available at the station house on weekdays. The Illinois Prairie Path runs along the south edge of the complex, running in the former Chicago Aurora and Elgin Railroad right-of-way.

It is found on Main Street between Crescent Boulevard & Pennsylvania Avenue, the north side of Crescent between Main & Forest Avenue and the south side of Pennsylvania between Main and Glenwood Avenue. There are thirty-four buildings in the district, twenty-eight of which contribute to its historical fabric.

The 1943 Women's Western Open was a golf competition held at Glen Oak Country Club, the 14th edition of the event. Patty Berg won the championship in match play competition by defeating Dorothy Kirby in the final match, 1 up.

Glen Oak Country Club is a country club and private golf course in Glen Ellyn, Illinois that was designed by Tom Bendelow and established in 1911.On January 7, 1909, the Pickwick Country Club was created. It had a 9-hole golf course, eventually expanded to 18 holes. Within a year, the club went bankrupt. In 1911, the property was purchased and reopened as the current Glen Oak Country Club.In the past bordering the club to the north- which is the Prairie Path today, was an interurban train stop. Many members lived in Chicago and would take the train out of the city to this club. Upon exit, a carriage would take the members along Hill Ave to the club house.Along with the golf course, it also has a swimming pool, and facility for trap shooting for member use on the club's south border. On the ninth hole, there is a Halfway House to refresh the players with drinks, beverages, and food. As the weather transitions from fall to winter many members change from golfing to The Skeet and Trap Club, which features a new remodeled Lodge area. Over the years, the club has been expanded and remodeled to the club it is today. Some of the famous people that have visited the club are famous athletes like MLB Players Jorge Soler, Carlos Zambrano, Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan(basketball), Chicago Bulls Player Alex Caruso, Bobby Rahal (retired race car driver), Masters 4x Masters Champion Arnold Palmer(golfer), and PGA Golfer Mark Wilson.
