The Avant is a mixed use tower located in Buffalo, New York. The building spans an entire city block between Elmwood Ave and Delaware Ave at West Huron, and features class A office space, an Embassy Suites hotel, and the top three floors feature luxury residential condominiums. Upon its completion in 2009, the building set a record for housing the most expensive group of condominiums ever built in the Buffalo metropolitan area. Furthermore, as a result of the eco-conscious trend in national development companies, the building's remodeling is recognized as the largest recycling project in Western New York history. The building features energy efficient windows as well as underground parking and a number of other luxury amenities.

Buffalo City Tower was an approved 40-story, mixed-use, tower aiming to be the tallest in downtown Buffalo. It was to be developed by British property development company BSC Group, headed up by entrepreneur Bashar Issa. Details included: retail focused on the corner of S. Elmwood and Mohawk Street, 20 floors of office space at 24,400 GSF/floor, 10 floors of hotel totaling 300 rooms each at 380–500 square feet (35–46 m2), and 10 floors of 80 condos each at 965–1,500 square feet (89.7–139.4 m2). Parking was to be accommodated in three underground and six above ground levels with a total of between 800 and 1150 spaces depending if stacking is used. The project was canceled in 2008 due to Issa's financial troubles in Manchester and Buffalo. Issa eventually sold the downtown Buffalo parcel, located at the corner of West Mohawk Street and South Elmwood Avenue, to local developer Mark Croce who currently operates it as a surface parking lot. Issa, who floated plans for a 40-story, $361 million mixed-use complex, bought the lot for $1 million in June 2006. Issa also purchased the Statler Hotel, located across the street, and aimed to invest $100 million in renovating that building to return it to its former glory. The building was placed into involuntary bankruptcy in 2009 and sold at auction to private investors, including Mark Croce.

Robertson–Cataract Electric Building, also known as The Corn Exchange and 100 South, is a historic commercial building located in downtown Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It was built in 1915–1916, and is a four-story, five bay, reinforced concrete building faced in brick in the Renaissance Revival-style. The building was expanded in 1919. It features terra cotta and polychromatic brick details in hues of red, brown, and purple. It originally housed a retail showroom and warehouse space for the Robertson–Cataract Electric Co.In July 2012, global engineering firm T. Y. Lin International announced it would lease 6,500 square feet in the building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Robert H. Jackson United States Courthouse is a U.S. Federal courthouse located in Buffalo, New York. The building occupies a full block of Delaware Avenue at Niagara Square, directly across from the Statler Towers and adjacent to Buffalo City Hall. The building features secure indoor parking for 54 vehicles, a glass entry pavilion that has all 4,536 words of the United States Constitution etched into the glass, and is topped off by a glass enclosure meant to resemble a glowing lantern when illuminated.

C. W. Miller Livery Stable is a historic multi-story livery stable located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. It is a six-story, rectangular masonry building 65 feet wide and 236 feet deep, built between 1892 and 1894. As horses were phased out and automobiles became more common, it was converted for use as a parking garage. Designed by Lansing and Beierl, it was nationally known because of its engineering and other innovations to handle the requirements of horses and wagons, coaches, etc. in a vertical environment. Originally built with long ramps, in the 1920s it was modified with steeper ramps so that motor vehicles could move more efficiently between floors. When opened, it was proclaimed a "palace for horses."It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.The site was purchased in 2017 by Buffalo Public Schools for its Emerson School of Hospitality. It plans to work with real estate developer Mark Croce in converting the facility to a culinary school, in partnership with the Curtiss Hotel next door.

The Harlow C. Curtiss Building, is a historic building located at Buffalo in Erie County, New York. Originally built for office use, the building was named for its owner Harlow Clarke Curtiss, a prominent Buffalo attorney and real estate investor. The building design resembles elements of the works of renowned Chicago architects such as Daniel Burnham and Louis Sullivan, both of whom also designed buildings in Buffalo. The Curtiss Building was designed by Buffalo-based architect Paul F. Mann, who was a brother-in-law of Curtiss. The building is one of the largest terra cotta structures of its type and period in downtown Buffalo.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The Delaware North Building is a mixed-use development in Buffalo, New York. The 12-story, 330,000-square-foot mixed-use building features Class A office space, a 120-room Westin hotel, ground level retail, a 7,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard, and an adjacent structured parking ramp. Delaware North's World Headquarters anchors the building.

Occupy Buffalo was a collaboration that included a peaceful protest and demonstrations which began on October 1, 2011, in Buffalo, New York, in Niagara Square, the nexus of downtown Buffalo opposite the Buffalo City Hall. It is related to the Occupy Wall Street movement that began in New York City on September 17, and called for economic equity, accountability among politicians and ending lobbyist influence of politicians. Protesters camped overnight in Niagara Square as part of the demonstration. Until August 2012, Occupy Buffalo had continued to engage in organized meetings, events and actions, according to their official site (now archived). As of September 18, 2019 their Facebook page continues to be active in sharing photos, events, and information.

The McKinley Monument is a 96-foot (29 m) tall obelisk in Niagara Square, Buffalo, New York. Its location in front of Buffalo City Hall defines the center of Buffalo that all of the main roads converge on.The monument was commissioned by the State of New York and dedicated September 6, 1907 to the memory of William McKinley, 25th President of the United States, who was fatally shot while attending the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo on September 6, 1901. Daniel H. Burnham influenced the process of designing the monument by advising that a obelisk should be built in order to call to the importance and significance of the monument. A full restoration had occurred in 2017 as the result of environmental conditions compromising the integrity of the monument.

Niagara Square is a public square located at the intersections of Delaware Avenue, Court Street, Genesee Street, and Niagara Street in Buffalo, New York. It is the central hub of Joseph Ellicott's original radial street pattern that he designed in 1804 for the then village of New Amsterdam. It continues to be the nexus of downtown Buffalo.

The Erie County Savings Bank building was a 10-story Romanesque Revival, office and bank branch building that was located at present-day 9 Church Street in downtown Buffalo, New York.

Buffalo City Hall is the seat for municipal government in the City of Buffalo, New York. Located at 65 Niagara Square, the 32-story Art Deco building was completed in 1931 by Dietel, Wade & Jones. The 398-foot-tall (121.3 m) building is one of the largest and tallest municipal buildings in the United States and is also one of the tallest buildings in Western New York. It was designed by chief architect John Wade with the assistance of George Dietel. The friezes were sculpted by Albert Stewart and the sculpture executed by Rene Paul Chambellan. The foyer features a bronze tablet honoring Mayor Roesch, created in 1937 by regional sculptor, William Ehrich.Buffalo City Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
