Meerbusch

Strümp is one of the eight districts of the city of Meerbusch, Germany. Its name is believed to be based on the stream Strempe that runs through the town and has its spring nearby.

Meerbusch-Osterath is the only station in Meerbusch in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is located in the district of Osterath and lies at the Lower Left Rhine Railway (Linksniederrheinische Strecke) and on the Osterath–Dortmund Süd railway.

Neuss Am Kaiser station is a station in the district of Barbaraviertel of the city of Neuss in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is on the Mönchengladbach–Düsseldorf railway and it is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. The station opened on 29 May 1988 on the new line built with the Hamm railway bridge opened by the Bergisch-Märkische Railway Company on 24 July 1870.The station is served by three lines of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn, S 8 (running between Hagen and Mönchengladbach), S 11 (running between Düsseldorf Airport and Bergisch Gladbach) and S 28 (running between Mettmann Stadtwald or Wuppertal and Kaarster See), each operating every 20 minutes during the day.It is also served by Düsseldorf Stadtbahn line route U 75, operated at 10-minute intervals, and by bus routes 830, operated by Rheinbahn at 20-minute intervals, and 864, operated by Busverkehr Rheinland at 60-minute intervals.

Gellep-Stratum is the southeasternmost district of Krefeld. The population is 2,485 (as of December 31, 2021). Until its incorporation into the city of Krefeld in 1929, Gellep-Stratum was a municipality in the Amt Lank of the Krefeld district.

Kaarst IKEA station is a Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn station in the town of Kaarst in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was opened as Holzbüttgen between 1954 and 1957 on the remaining part of the Neuss–Viersen railway, which was opened by the Rhenish Railway Company on 15 November 1877. It was reopened as IKEA Kaarst (after the nearby IKEA store) on 26 September 1999 and given its current name on 16 June 2002.The station is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S 28 at 20-minute intervalsThe station is served by one taxibus service, 861 (Holzbüttgen/Sandfeld – Neusser Str), operated by Busverkehr Rheinland at 60-minute intervals.

Heerdt is one of the older parts of the city of Düsseldorf. Heerdt and its neighbouring quarters Oberkassel, Niederkassel and Lörick on the left side of the river Rhine, opposite to the other districts of Düsseldorf and the central district. Heerdt is connected to the centre of the city by three bridges, the Oberkassler Brücke, the Rheinkniebrücke and the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke. Cars, bikes and pedestrians can use all bridges. The Oberkassler Brücke is used by some tram and underground lines running between the districts on both sides of the river. There is a direct connection to the motorway 52 heading to Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. The tram lines U70 and U76 connect Heerdt with Meerbusch and Krefeld (and the central districts, too), the line U75 with Neuss. Heerdt was first mentioned in the 11th century. For centuries Heerdt was strongly connected to the neighbouring town of Neuss. From 1794 to 1814, Neuss was part of France during the reign of Napoleon. At the end of the 19th century the construction of the first permanent bridge between Düsseldorf and Heerdt changed things. Heerdt became industrialised. Until today the structure of Heerdt shows the era of industrialisation, but there are a lot of relics of the old Heerdt, especially the old churches. The Lena-Arena, also known as the airberlin world for sponsorship purposes, was Fortuna Düsseldorf's temporary stadium during the hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 at Fortuna's ESPRIT Arena.

Lörick is an urban borough of Düsseldorf, Germany. It is located on the left side of the river Rhine, bordering to the river, Niederkassel, Heerdt and Meerbusch. Lörick was a small village belonging to the office of Heerdt until there was a connection via the Oberkassel Bridge to Düsseldorf in 1898. In 1909 Lörick became, together with Heerdt, a part of Düsseldorf. Lörick became a typical suburb. In 1957 the North Bridge of Düsseldorf (Theodor-Heuss-Brücke) was opened, creating a direct connection of Lörick with Düsseldorf (not only via Oberkassel). In 1960 the skyscraper complex "Seestern" ("Starfish") was built in Lörick. It continued to grow until the 1990s. In 1961 an open-air bath opened in Lörick.

Neuss Central Station (Neuss Hauptbahnhof) is the railway station for the city of Neuss in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The main station building is built on a platform between the tracks and it is located at the junction of the Lower Left Rhine Railway (Linksniederrheinische Strecke, Cologne–Kleve) and the Mönchengladbach–Düsseldorf railway. These lines also connect with the Düren–Neuss railway and the Neuss–Viersen railway; the latter has ended since 1984 at Kaarster See station and is operated by the private Regiobahn company. The station is a transport hub, served by various rail services, a Stadtbahn line, a tram line and a bus station with eight bays in the station forecourt. Neuss station houses several shops, including a restaurant, a snack bar and a kiosk. In 2006, it was modernised, with two of its four platforms equipped with lifts for wheelchair users. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 2 station.

Merkur Spielarena (stylized as MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA), previously known as the Esprit Arena (until 2 August 2018), the LTU Arena (until June 2009), and as the Düsseldorf Arena (during the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest), is a multi-functional football stadium in Düsseldorf, Germany. The stadium holds 54,600 and has a retractable roof. Its special heating system allows the stadium to host comfortable events at the height of winter.

ISR International School on the Rhine is a private school that started operation in 2003 in the heart of the Neuss/Düsseldorf area, in the Western part of central Germany. The county of Neuss, the city of Neuss, the Neuss Chamber of Commerce and local and international companies in the region joined to establish an international college preparatory school. When it first opened 2003, the school had 65 students. As of April 2018, enrolment has risen to over 1000 students representing 52 different countries, including China, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Netherlands, India, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey, and the United States.The school offers a full-day academic program to students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 and is accredidated by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.The following leaving certificates are offered: SABIS® High School Diploma, IGCSE, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate (IB).

The Rheinstadion was a multi-purpose stadium, in Düsseldorf, Germany. The stadium was built, near the Rhine, in 1926 and held 54,000 people at the end of its life. It was the home ground for Fortuna Düsseldorf from 1953 to 1970 and 1972–2002. It was used during the 1974 FIFA World Cup and 1988 European Championships. In 1995, the Rhein Fire, of the World League of American Football became tenants in their inaugural season. It hosted World Bowl '99 and World Bowl X. Metallica performed at the stadium during their Nowhere Else to Roam Tour on May 20, 1993, with The Cult & Suicidal Tendencies as their opening act. It was demolished in the summer of 2002, after the World Bowl X championship game, and has been replaced by the Merkur Spiel-Arena in 2004.
