Kaarst Mitte/Holzbüttgen is a Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn station in the town of Kaarst in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It was opened as Kaarst Erftstr between 1985 and 1987 on the remaining part of the Neuss–Viersen railway, which was opened by the Rhenish Railway Company on 15 November 1877. Büttgen station is a railway station in the town of Büttgen, a part of Kaarst in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The station was opened on 8 January 1868. It lies on the Mönchengladbach–Düsseldorf railway line, one of the oldest in Germany that was originally constructed by the Aachen-Düsseldorf-Ruhrort Railway Company. Büttgen station has two tracks and two platforms and is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.The station is served by the S 8 line of the Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn network, running between Mönchengladbach and Wuppertal-Oberbarmen or Hagen every 20 minutes at weekday core times.

Neuss Central Station (Neuss Hauptbahnhof) is the railway station for the city of Neuss in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The main station building is built on a platform between the tracks and it is located at the junction of the Lower Left Rhine Railway (Linksniederrheinische Strecke, Cologne–Kleve) and the Mönchengladbach–Düsseldorf railway. These lines also connect with the Düren–Neuss railway and the Neuss–Viersen railway; the latter has ended since 1984 at Kaarster See station and is operated by the private Regiobahn company. The station is a transport hub, served by various rail services, a Stadtbahn line, a tram line and a bus station with eight bays in the station forecourt. Neuss station houses several shops, including a restaurant, a snack bar and a kiosk. In 2006, it was modernised, with two of its four platforms equipped with lifts for wheelchair users. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 2 station.

The Basilica of St. Quirinus (German: Münster-Basilika St. Quirin ) also called Minster-Basilica of St. Quirinus of Neuss Is a Catholic basilica that was erected in the city of Neuss in the western part of the present state of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany between 1209 and 1230. The basilica is one of the best examples of Romanesque churches in Germany. It has a strong Lombard influence but in principle shows the first signs of Gothic. In its bell tower the first semicircular arches appear. This form of arch becomes centuries later in one of the marks that marked the Gothic style. It is dedicated to St. Quirinus of Neuss, a prominent Roman martyr of the third century, revered in Neuss as the body of the martyr moved to this city in the year 1050, a gift of Pope Leo IX to Abbess Gepa. In 2009 the church was recognized by Pope Benedict XVI with the title of minor basilica.
