The Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank eG (ApoBank, German bank for pharmacists and physicians) is a cooperative bank headquartered in Düsseldorf.

The Rheinstadion was a multi-purpose stadium, in Düsseldorf, Germany. The stadium was built, near the Rhine, in 1926 and held 54,000 people at the end of its life. It was the home ground for Fortuna Düsseldorf from 1953 to 1970 and 1972–2002. It was used during the 1974 FIFA World Cup and 1988 European Championships. In 1995, the Rhein Fire, of the World League of American Football became tenants in their inaugural season. It hosted World Bowl '99 and World Bowl X. Metallica performed at the stadium during their Nowhere Else to Roam Tour on May 20, 1993, with The Cult & Suicidal Tendencies as their opening act. It was demolished in the summer of 2002, after the World Bowl X championship game, and has been replaced by the Merkur Spiel-Arena in 2004.

Japanische Internationale Schule e.V. in Düsseldorf (デュッセルドルフ日本人学校, Dyusserudorufu Nihonjin Gakkō, JISD, German: "Japanese International School in Düsseldorf") is a Japanese international school in Oberkassel, Düsseldorf, Germany.Japanische Ergänzungsschule in Düsseldorf (デュッセルドルフ日本語補習校 Dyusserudorufu Nihongo Hoshūkō), a Japanese weekend school, is a part of the institution.

Merkur Spielarena (stylized as MERKUR SPIEL-ARENA), previously known as the Esprit Arena (until 2 August 2018), the LTU Arena (until June 2009), and as the Düsseldorf Arena (during the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest), is a multi-functional football stadium in Düsseldorf, Germany. The stadium holds 54,600 and has a retractable roof. Its special heating system allows the stadium to host comfortable events at the height of winter.

Merkur Spiel-Arena/Messe Nord station (German: U-Bahnhof Merkur Spiel-Arena/Messe Nord) is a surface-level rapid transit station in the city of Düsseldorf, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is part of the Düsseldorf Stadtbahn network and serves the Merkur Spiel-Arena.

The Lena-Arena, also known as the airberlin world for sponsorship purposes, was Fortuna Düsseldorf's temporary stadium during the hosting of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 at Fortuna's ESPRIT Arena.

The word drupa is a portmanteau of the German words druck und papier; print and paper respectively. Heerdt is one of the older parts of the city of Düsseldorf. Heerdt and its neighbouring quarters Oberkassel, Niederkassel and Lörick on the left side of the river Rhine, opposite to the other districts of Düsseldorf and the central district. Heerdt is connected to the centre of the city by three bridges, the Oberkassler Brücke, the Rheinkniebrücke and the Theodor-Heuss-Brücke. Cars, bikes and pedestrians can use all bridges. The Oberkassler Brücke is used by some tram and underground lines running between the districts on both sides of the river. There is a direct connection to the motorway 52 heading to Krefeld and Mönchengladbach. The tram lines U70 and U76 connect Heerdt with Meerbusch and Krefeld (and the central districts, too), the line U75 with Neuss. Heerdt was first mentioned in the 11th century. For centuries Heerdt was strongly connected to the neighbouring town of Neuss. From 1794 to 1814, Neuss was part of France during the reign of Napoleon. At the end of the 19th century the construction of the first permanent bridge between Düsseldorf and Heerdt changed things. Heerdt became industrialised. Until today the structure of Heerdt shows the era of industrialisation, but there are a lot of relics of the old Heerdt, especially the old churches. Niederkassel is a borough of the city of Düsseldorf. It is located on the west side of the river Rhine, bordering Oberkassel and Lörick. It was connected to Düsseldorf when the Oberkassel Bridge was opened in 1898.It was originally part of the district of Heerdt, until Heerdt became a part of Düsseldorf in 1909.At the start of the 20th century, Oberkassel and Niederkassel were popular places for artist's residences., prompted by the national arts exhibition in Düsseldorf in 1902.In the 1970s, Oberkassel and Niederkassel become a popular place for the Japanese community in Germany to live. In 1973 the permanent facility of Japanese School of Düsseldorf opened in Niederkassel. In 1993 the Ekō House, a center for Japanese culture with a traditional Japanese tea house and a Buddhist temple, was opened there. Niederkassel sometimes is called "Klein-Tokio" ("Little Tokyo") by locals.Since 1887, a fete with an annual barrel race has been held in Niederkassel. The barrels are carried in special handcarts called "Schörskar".

The Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum unites Zoo, Natural History Museum and Aquarium in one institution under the administration of the city of Düsseldorf. It was opened in 1987 in the North Park under the name "Löbbecke-Museum + Aquazoo" (there have been precursor institutions on different locations in Düsseldorf though). On an area of ​​about 2000 square meters, around 500 animal species are exhibited in 25 themed rooms in aquariums, terrariums and a tropical hall. Moreover, the exhibition includes 1,400 natural history exhibits, models and interactive stations. With about 400.000 visitors per year, the Aquazoo Löbbecke Museum has been by far the most visited cultural institution in the city of Düsseldorf for many years. The name of the institution refers to Theodor Löbbecke who laid the foundation of the natural history collection by collecting sea shells. The collection is rich in type material for different mollusc species, such as the Angaria loebbeckei and Chicoreus loebbeckei.

Von hier aus – Zwei Monate neue deutsche Kunst in Düsseldorf (Up from here – Two months of new German art in Düsseldorf) is the title of an art exhibition from 29 September 1984 to 2 December 1984. It was organised by the city of Düsseldorf and the Gesellschaft für aktuelle Kunst Düsseldorf e.V. and was curated by Kasper König.The exhibition showed the best of Contemporary German Art and wrote art history. The venue was Hall 13 of the Messe Düsseldorf, designed by the Austrian architect Hermann Czech. The green neon lettering used for the exhibition "Von hier aus" bore the handwriting of Joseph Beuys.
