Mader Stein

The Wotanstein (English: Wotan's stone), also known as 'Wodanstein' or earlier on 'Malstein', is a small megalith or menhir situated close to the village of Maden, Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, Hesse, Germany.

Goldbach is a river of Hesse, Germany. It is a tributary of the Ems near Gudensberg.

Gudensberg (German pronunciation: [ˈguːdn̩sˌbɛʁk] ) is a small town in northern Hesse, Germany. Since the municipal reform in 1974, the nearby villages of Deute, Dissen, Dorla, Gleichen, Maden and Obervorschütz have become parts of the municipality.

Scharfenstein is a 304 metres (997 ft) hill composed of basalt in the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis district of North Hesse, Germany. It is the remains of one of a number of extinct volcanoes in the West Hesse Depression.

Kassel is one of the three Regierungsbezirke of Hesse, Germany, located in the north of the state. It was created in 1866 when Prussia annexed the Electorate of Hesse, forming part of the new Province of Hesse-Nassau. It was enlarged following the incorporation of the former Free State of Waldeck in 1929. From 1944 to 1945 it formed its own province: Kurhessen. After World War II it became part of Greater Hesse within the American Occupation Zone, the precursor to the modern state of Hesse. In its modern form it consists of 138 municipalities.

Lotterberg is a 305 m (1,001 ft) (NHN) high hill between the villages of Wolfershausen and Deute in Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, Hesse, Germany.

Edermünde is a municipality in northern Hesse, Germany.

Böddiger Berg is a small vineyard next to village Böddiger, which is part of township Felsberg in the county of Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, Hesse, Germany. It is the northernmost vineyard in Hesse and was one of the first organic vineyards in Germany. Vine was already grown in this region during medieval times, however at some point in the early modern era the production ceased. In the 1950s the entrepreneur Georg Angersbach revived the wine production and laid the base for the current vineyard. Financial difficulties and harvest loss due to harsh weather conditions led to an interruption of the production after Angersbach's death in 1979. The property was taken over by the state of Hesse, which used it as a therapy center for drug addiction. In 1992 a local society formed to continue the vine growing tradition. It rented parts of the original vineyard from the state and started to produce organic wine.In the 1970s the vineyard also became the subject of a legal battle, when state authorities tried to shut down the wine production in this region in favour of the better known wine regions Southern Hesse. The authorities however lost in court and the wine production continued.

Felsberg is a town in the Schwalm-Eder district about 25 kilometres (16 miles) south of Kassel.

Pilgerbach is a 8-kilometre-long (5.0 mi) river of north Hesse, Germany, in the district of Edermünde. It is a westerly tributary of the Eder into which it flows near Edermünde-Grifte, just before the Eder flows into the Fulda. The name Pilgerbach can be translated in English as Pilgrim's stream.

The Glisborn, or Glißborn, is a small, short (3 kilometres (1.9 mi)) stream that rises from a spring of the same name. The spring is located close to the Odenberg hill near Gudensberg in the northern Hessian district of Schwalm-Eder-Kreis. The spring is connected with numerous legends (see below).

The Hahn is a 255.8 m (839 ft)-high basalt knoll in the district of Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, within the town of Edermünde-Holzhausen, in Hesse, Germany. Like many other basalt outcrops in the West Hesse Depression, it is the neck of an extinct Miocene volcano, the rest has been eroded. A small medieval tower castle once stood on the hill.
