Tours Speedway is an oval speedway located in Tours, France. The track is located at the parkingplace of the Parc des expositions east of the city. It was first used in 2012. The only event raced on the track is the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. On October, 2nd, Tours announced that the 2018 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series race will be the last NASCAR race in this track.

Saint-Pierre-des-Corps (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ pjɛʁ de kɔʁ] ) is a commune in the French department of Indre-et-Loire, Centre-Val de Loire, France. It is located about 4 km (2.5 mi) from Tours. During the French Revolution, it was called La Clarté-Républicaine.

Stade de la Vallée du Cher is a multi-use stadium in Tours, France. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Tours FC. The stadium is able to hold 16,247 people and was built in 1978.

Beaujardin or Beaujardin-Raspail is a district of the French city of Tours. Insee defined it in its division of the Tours commune into 22 IRIS. It is located in the southeast of the commune. It borders the Sanitas district to the north, Rochepinard and the banks of the Cher to the south, and the commune of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps to the east. Although the district traces its origins back to the 19th-century château de Beaujardin, it developed mainly between the wars, notably with the establishment of a workers' garden city, and completed the bulk of its urbanization during the Trente Glorieuses period. With a population of some 4,000 in 2012, Beaujardin is a mixed-use neighborhood composed largely of small owner-occupied homes, but also contains numerous social housing units, including two workers' housing estates.

Marmoutier Abbey — also known as the Abbey of Marmoutier or Marmoutiers — was an early monastery outside Tours, Indre-et-Loire, France. In its later days it followed the Benedictine order as an influential monastery with many dependencies.

The châteaux of the Loire Valley (French: châteaux de la Loire) are part of the architectural heritage of the historic towns of Amboise, Angers, Blois, Chinon, Montsoreau, Orléans, Saumur, and Tours along the river Loire in France. They illustrate Renaissance ideals of design in France.The châteaux of the Loire Valley number over three hundred, ranging from practical fortified castles from the 10th century to splendid residences built half a millennium later. When the French kings began constructing their huge châteaux in the Loire Valley, the nobility, drawn to the seat of power, followed suit, attracting the finest architects and landscape designers. The châteaux and their surrounding gardens are cultural monuments which embody the ideals of the Renaissance and Enlightenment. Many of the châteaux were built on hilltops, such as the Château d'Amboise, while the only one built in the riverbed is the Château de Montsoreau. Many had exquisite churches on the grounds or within the château.

The Feu Hugon tower, now defunct, is presumed to be the first medieval residence of the Counts of Tours, built around 875, although it may be later and distinct from the Palais Comtal (below), all located in the northeast corner of the ancient Gallo-Roman Cité.

The ESCEM School of Business and Management (French: "École Supérieure de Commerce et Management") was a business school located in Tours, Orléans and Poitiers in France which is now renamed Excelia Business School.ESCEM was formed through the merger between the business schools ESC Tours (1982) and ESC Poitiers (1961) in 1998 as well as EGC Orléans in 2012. With a yearly enrolment of about 2'600 business students, ESCEM awarded around 15 different qualifications from Bachelor to Masters level degrees. ESCEM was a former member of Conférence des Grandes Écoles and successively obtained the AACSB and EQUIS accreditation. In 2012, it initiated the project of France Business School.In September 2016, Sup de Co La Rochelle took a majority share of ESCEM.In 2020 ESCEM joined Sup de Co La Rochelle and formed Excelia, a higher education group composed of three main campuses in La Rochelle, Tours and Orléans. The Chapel of Saint-Libert was a former Romanesque church dating from the 12th century. It was situated within the historic core of Tours, France. Its construction was partially influenced by the Gallo-Roman castrum along the Loire River, with which it shares a portion of the original rampart. The church's nave has been included in the supplementary inventory of historical monuments since December 2, 1946, at the initiative of the Archaeological Society of Touraine (SAT). The church was decommissioned at the beginning of the 18th century. Subsequently, it was reconverted and disfigured by industrial and artisanal activity. In 2011, it was acquired by the SAT and rehabilitated following archaeological excavations. The rehabilitated church now serves as the SAT's headquarters, a reception and meeting space, and a venue for cultural events. The edifice is situated at 37 Avenue André-Malraux, at the intersection of Rue de la Bretonnerie, close to Rue Barbès (formerly Rue Saint-Libert). Additionally, within the city of Tours, there was a modern Saint-Libert chapel, constructed in 1980, designated for Catholic worship and located at 9 Rue du Clos-Saint-Libert. However, this structure was scheduled for demolition in 2014 and, as such, should not be confused with the building mentioned above.

The Tours amphitheater (also known as the Caesarodunum amphitheater) is a Roman amphitheatre located in the historic city center of Tours, France, immediately behind the well known Tours cathedral. It was built in the 1st century when the city was called Caesarodunum. It was built atop a small hill on the outskirts of the ancient urban area, making it safe from floods, convenient for crowds and visitors, and demonstrating the power of the city from a distance. The structure was an enormous, elliptical structure approximately 122 meters by 94 meters. According to its design it is classified as a "primitive" amphitheatre. Unlike the famous Colosseum that was made mostly of masonry and built above-ground, the Tours amphitheatre was made mostly of earth and created by moving soil and rock into a bowl shape. Spectators likely sat directly on the grassy slopes, while the masonry was primarily used for the vomitoria and retaining walls. When it was expanded in the 2nd century (to 156 m X 134 m), it became one of the largest structures (among the top ten) in the Roman Empire. It is not clear why the amphitheater was expanded given the population and slow growth of the city at the time. About a century later, this expanded amphitheatre was transformed into a fortress, with an addition of a rampart style wall, typical during the decline of Roman Empire. It gradually fell into ruin during the Middle Ages and canonical houses were built upon it and gradually concealed it. The vomitoria were at some point transformed into cellars. The amphitheater was then completely forgotten until the 19th century, when it was rediscovered (1855). Evidence such as the layout of the streets and radiating lots of the district drew attention to its existence. Surveys and terrain analyses in the 1960s gathered further data on the cellars of the houses which were previously built on the amphitheater walls. Over the past decade, more in-depth studies of the topography and architecture have taken place and are changing the theories and opinions surrounding this monument. The remains of the amphitheater are not protected as historic sites directly; however, some of the houses built upon it are registered as historical monuments. The ruins of the amphitheater are significant as they are among the oldest known ruins in the city and offer clues about the early history and development of the area.
