Wast Hill Tunnel is a canal tunnel on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. Its northern portal is in Hawkesley, Birmingham. Its southern portal is in fields just outside the city's boundaries, in Worcestershire.

Hawkesley is an area of Birmingham, England. It is part of 'The Three Estates', the housing estates Hawkesley, Pool Farm, and Primrose. These are to the south of (and effectively sub-areas of) Kings Norton. The Ordnance Survey grid reference is SP0477. Hawkesley was an important area of action during the English Civil War particularly around Hawkesley Farm which is situated further towards Longbridge site of the famous motor works. Wast Hills Tunnel, on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal, passes beneath the area. The Three Estates New Deal for Communities in place since 2001 has encouraged urban regeneration. UK artists Gavin Wade and Alec Finlay working with poet Paul Conneally were commissioned to make public art in Hawkesley and as part of the work organised community Renga workshops across the Three Estates making a unique piece that forms part of Wade's huge Strategic Questions piece. The piece being co-funded by the Three Estates New Deal for Communities and Birmingham City Council.

Ark Kings Academy is a co-educational all-through school and sixth form located over two sites in the Kings Norton area of Birmingham, West Midlands, England.The school is funded by the Department for Education and operated by Ark Schools, a registered charity under English law and sponsored by parent charity Ark.

The Wast Hills Observatory was established in 1982 mainly as a teaching laboratory, as a part of the Physics with Astrophysics BSc/MSci degree course at the University of Birmingham. It is situated in Kings Norton, Birmingham, England, 8 km away from the campus of the University. It has developed into a unique training and research facility for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Hopwood Park services is a motorway service station in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England situated off Junction 2 of the M42 motorway on the A441 road to Redditch south of Birmingham. It opened in August 1999. Services include a Shell Petrol Station, Waitrose, Starbucks Coffee, WHSmith, and KFC. Electric Vehicle charging is provided by Gridserve (2 chargers) and Tesla (16 chargers). This motorway service area is operated by Welcome Break.

Walkers Heath Park is a park in Walker's Heath, south-west Birmingham that covers approximately 21 hectares (52 acres) nestled between the estates of Kings Norton and Druids Heath. The park has a basketball court, netball court and a tennis court with permanent tennis net as well as two sets of kickabout goals. There's also a concrete table-tennis table. The park is unusual in that it is managed by one local authority, Birmingham, but is located within and the land owned by a second, Bromsgrove District.The Friends of Walkers Heath Park have organized volunteer efforts aimed at improving the park's grounds and facilities. Together with Catch22 and The National Trust, The Friends of Walkers Heath Park have planted new trees, added new seating and bins, cleaned out Chinn Brook that runs through the park, and laid new hedges. A "Community Games" were held on the grounds to encourage local residents to use the renovated facilities. Several areas of the park are suitable for bicycling, including mountain biking.

Walker's Heath is a small area spanning the southern border of the city of Birmingham, England (northeastern segment of the Kings Norton South ward) and the Bromsgrove District of Worcestershire (northern-most segment of the Wythall West ward). It is located to the immediate south-east of the Birmingham suburb of Kings Norton. A Local Government Boundary Commission for England review of 1992 identified the adult population of the Worcestershire part of Walker's Heath as just 400; however, despite a recommendation the area be transferred to the city of Birmingham, such a change did not come to effect. As a result, Walker's Heath continues to share a commonality with Rubery, a larger suburb located a few miles west, in being a contiguous built-up area spanning the Birmingham-Worcestershire border. A notable feature of the area is Walkers Heath Park. Walker's Heath is served by National Express West Midlands bus route 35 to Birmingham via Kings Heath and 49 Solihull to Rubery via Kings Norton.

Kings Norton, alternatively King's Norton, is an area of Birmingham, England. Historically in Worcestershire, it was also a Birmingham City Council ward within the Government of Birmingham, England. The district lies 6.5 miles south-southwest of Birmingham city centre and is within 1.5 miles of the north Worcestershire border. Kings Norton has been split into two wards, Kings Norton North and Kings Norton South.

The Battle of Kings Norton was fought on 17 October 1642. The skirmish developed out of a chance encounter between Royalists under the command of Prince Rupert and Parliamentarians under the command of Lord Willoughby. Both forces had been on their way to join their respective armies which were later to meet at Edgehill in the first pitched battle of the First English Civil War. The Parliamentarians won the encounter and both forces proceeded to join their respective armies.

The Transport Museum, Wythall is a transport museum just outside Birmingham, at Chapel Lane, Wythall, Worcestershire, England. The museum was originally run by the charity The Birmingham and Midland Motor Omnibus Trust (BaMMOT). BaMMOT was formed in 1977 and the museum site was acquired in February 1978. The museum has three halls, presenting a significant collection of preserved buses and coaches, including Midland Red and Birmingham City Transport vehicles, a collection of battery electric vehicles such as milk floats, and a Tilling-Stevens petrol-electric bus. In 2016 the Trust became a CIO charity called Transport Museum Wythall (TMW), registered number 1167872 It is also home to the Elmdon Model Engineering Society (EMES) who operate the Wythall miniature railway within the grounds of the transport museum, giving rides to public on miniature steam trains.

The Saracen's Head is the name formerly given to a group of late medieval buildings in Kings Norton, Birmingham. The buildings, together with the nearby Old Grammar School, won the BBC Restoration series in 2004. Following the restoration project, the Old Grammar School, Saint Nicolas Church and the Tudor Merchant's House (formerly the Saracen's Head) were given the collective name of Saint Nicolas Place.

Wythall miniature railway is a dual-gauge miniature railway in the grounds of The Transport Museum, Wythall in England. It is operated and maintained by Elmdon Model Engineering Society (EMES)
