Ash Bank is a small village in Stoke-on-Trent near to Werrington. Located in the village is Ash Hall, an 1830s mansion built by Broad Street Pottery Works Owner, Job Meigh. A large two-storey house in Tudor style, it is a Grade II listed building, as is the single storey lodge which accompanies it. It is now used as a nursing home for the elderly.

Discovery Academy is a mixed secondary school located in the Bentilee area of Stoke-on-Trent in the English county of Staffordshire.The school was formed in September 2011 from the merger of Mitchell High School in Bucknall and Edensor High School in Longton. The school was originally based over both of the former school sites, however the school relocated to a new campus built on the site of the former Willfield Centre in September 2013. The new school buildings were officially opened by Peter Coates, Chairman of the Stoke City Football Club, in July 2014.Discovery Academy is part of the College Academies Trust, sponsored by Stoke-on-Trent College. Other schools in the trust include Excel Academy, Maple Court Academy and Stoke Studio College.

Weston Coyney is a suburb of the City of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. It lies on the south eastern edge of the city and borders the neighbouring Staffordshire Moorlands district. Originally developed around a crossroads the area now also includes two major estates, Park Hall – developed in the 1970s, and Coalville – a 1950s estate built for the National Coal Board (NCB) to house many of its miners. Weston Coyney is almost entirely a residential area with little industry and most of the residents work elsewhere in the city.

HMYOI Werrington (also known as Werrington Juvenile Centre) is a male juveniles' prison located in the village of Werrington in Staffordshire, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service.

Werrington is a village in the Staffordshire Moorlands district of Staffordshire, England, about 5 miles (8 km) east of Stoke-on-Trent city centre. The village has a population of just over 3,000 people, sits at 875 feet (270 m) above sea level and is known for its windmill standing at the summit. It is surrounded by Wetley Moor, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and has the A52 road running through the middle of the village. The village was first recorded on a map under the name of Wherington in 1749, shortly after the construction of the windmill. The windmill was in use for around 150 years, grinding corn and then coal towards the end of its working life. The village's population has grown more than tenfold since 1925, warranting its own parish council in 1988. Moorside High School and HM Prison Werrington sit within the village, as do seven listed buildings and two churches.

Wetley Moor Common is a Staffordshire Wildlife Trust reserve consisting of ancient common land. It has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to its unimproved lowland heath habitat, which represents approximately 10% of the heathland in Staffordshire. Wetley Moor Common is 118 hectares or 292 acres in size.

Normacot railway station served the Normacot area of Stoke-on-Trent, England. It was opened in 1882 by the North Staffordshire Railway on its line to Derby.The station closed in 1964 and nothing remains of the station today.
