South Buffalo North Side Light is a lighthouse formerly located at the entrance to Buffalo Harbor, Buffalo, New York. It is one of two "bottle shaped" beacons located in Buffalo Harbor; the other is the Buffalo North Breakwater South End Light. It is a 29-foot (8.8 m) high beacon constructed of boiler plate. It measures 10 feet 3⁄4 inch (3.067 m) at the bottom and 2 feet 3 inches (0.69 m) at the top. It is distinguished by four cast iron port windows and a curved iron door. It was first lit on September 1, 1903, and originally equipped with a 6th-order Fresnel lens. A battery operated 12 volt lamp with a 12-inch (300 mm) green plastic lens was installed in the beacon c. 1960, when a domed roof formerly mounted over the lens was removed. The beacon was removed in 1985, and now stands at the gate to the Dunkirk Lighthouse and Veterans Park Museum. Its twin is located on the grounds of the Buffalo (main) Light. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Buffalo Harbor North and South entrance Lights are lighthouses located at the entrance to Buffalo harbor in New York. The south light is at Stony Point breakwater (known also as the Buffalo Harbor South Entrance Light), and the North light was relocated. The lighthouses were established and lit in 1903, automated in 1935; the North light was deactivated in the 1980s. The South light is still operational. The foundation materials are dressed stone and timber for the south light and concrete pier on crib for the North light. The lighthouses were constructed out of cast iron boiler plate. The tower has a conical bottle shape. It is white, with a black lantern. The original lenses installed in 1903 were fourth (south) and sixth order (North) Fresnel lenses.

Buffalo Harbor South Entrance Light, also known as the South Buffalo Southside Light or Buffalo South Breakwater, South Entrance Light Station, is a lighthouse at Stony Point at the entrance to Buffalo Harbor, Buffalo, New York. It was established in 1903 and deactivated in 1993. It was replaced by a nearby modern post light. The lighthouse property consists of a three-story cast iron 43.5-foot (13.3 m) decommissioned light tower topped with a lantern; one-story concrete fog signal building and an L-shaped concrete pier.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Cargill Pool Elevator is a grain storage facility in Buffalo harbor built in the 1920s and previously named the Saskatchewan Cooperative Elevator. The elevator is the only grain elevator in Buffalo that is located directly adjacent to Lake Erie.

Buffalo Harbor State Park is a 190-acre (0.77 km2) state park and marina on the shore of Lake Erie in the city of Buffalo in Erie County, New York. The park encompasses Gallagher Beach, the former NFTA Small Boat Harbor, and the waterfront land in between.

The Tifft Nature Preserve is a 264-acre nature preserve in Buffalo, New York, and one of the largest municipal nature preserves in New York.

Queen City Landing was an approved residential tower proposal by developer Gerald Buchheit on the Outer Harbor of Buffalo, New York. Preparation work included the demolition of a 6-story warehouse formerly operated by Freezer Queen Foods and the project was planned to have approximately 200 apartment units. Upon completion, it would have been the 6th tallest building in Buffalo and the 13th tallest in Upstate New York, with a height of 324 feet and 23 floors. The tower was targeted in a lawsuit by local environmentalists out of concern that it posed a danger to bird migration, given its immediate proximity to the Tifft Nature Preserve, and also that the city board did not conduct a full environmental study on the site. However, on multiple occasions, a state Supreme Court judge upheld the city board's decision to build the tower and also ruled that the city acted properly in its environmental study. Bucheit completed the environmental cleanup of the site in late 2018.On November 18, 2019, Bucheit announced a slight change in the tower's design. The building would be reduced to 20 stories and would be moved farther away from the water, in addition to occupying 30 percent less land. The new finish date was tentatively projected to 2021. In addition, Bucheit also added plans for a surrounding neighborhood around the main tower complete with two 6-story apartment buildings, a cluster of 3-story townhouses, and more public space. However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, continued resistance from the plaintiffs, and an inability to secure public funding from the city, the project was "suspended indefinitely" in March 2020 and presumably cancelled for good the following year when the developer listed the property for sale.

Smoke Creek (also known as Da-deo-da-na-suk-to ("bend in the shore"), Smoke's Creek or Smokes Creek) is a small stream in Erie County, New York. It originates southwest of East Aurora and flows into Lake Erie at Lackawanna. The height above sea level is 174 metres (571 ft). A left tributary is the South Branch Smoke Creek. The watershed area of Smoke Creek measures about 85 square kilometres (33 sq mi).The creek is named after "Old Smoke," the English name for Sayenqueraghta, a prominent Seneca chief.

American Grain Complex, also known as "The American," Russell-Miller Milling Co. Elevator, and Peavey Co. Elevator, is a historic grain elevator and flour milling complex located in South Buffalo, Buffalo, Erie County, New York. The complex consists of three contributing buildings and two contributing structures. They are the Elevator Building (1905/1906, 1931), Flour Building (1906-1924), office building (c. 1920), Moveable Marine Tower, and railroad tracks. The Elevator Building consists of the mainhouse, workhouse, and fixed marine tower, all built in 1905–1906, and an annex constructed in 1931. The complex was last owned by ConAgra Foods, who closed the elevator and mill in June 2001.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

SS Columbia is the last remaining excursion steamship from the turn of the 20th century in existence, the second to last being her running mate and sister ship SS Ste. Claire which burned in 2018. Both were designed by Frank E. Kirby and Louis O. Keil. Columbia was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1992. As of 2019, the vessel is docked at Silo City in Buffalo, New York while work is being done to rehabilitate it.

Concrete-Central Elevator is a historic grain elevator located on the Buffalo River at 175 Buffalo River (750 Ohio St.) Buffalo in Erie County, New York.

The Great Northern Elevator is a grain storage facility at 250 Ganson Street in Buffalo, New York. The elevator is located along Buffalo's "elevator alley" and at the time of its completion in 1897, the elevator was the world's largest. The mill was also one of the first to run on electricity.
