Suursoo

Salu is a village in Rae Parish, Harju County, in northern Estonia. It has a population of 76 (as of 1 January 2010).In 2005, the 12th century treasure trove Ubina Hoard was discovered in Salu.

Paraspõllu Nature Reserve is a nature reserve which is located in Harju County, Estonia.The area of the nature reserve is 479 ha.The protected area was founded in 1999 to protect valuable habitat types and threatened species in Suursoo village (Rae Parish) and in Igavere and Pikavere village (both in former Raasiku Parish).

Pikavere is a village in Raasiku Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia.The Paraspõllu Nature Reserve is located in the northern part of the village. The southern border of the settlement is marked by the Aruvalla–Jägala road. Pikavere Manor (German: Pickfer) was established in 1446 in the village. The single-storey Classicist main building was rebuilt in 1939 and operates as the local kindergarten and primary school.

Seli (sometimes called also as Selimäe, literally Hill of Seli) is a village in Rae Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It is a 3.5 kilometres long chain-like village along Vaida–Pajupea road (road nr 11201). Seli has a population of 24 (as of 1 January 2010).The administrative territory of the village includes Limu Lake, and eastern border of the village goes along Leivajõgi River. The latters are connected with a 1 kilometre long Trummi ditch. At the Vaida side of the village Kiviluks Ltd operates Seli gravel mine. Because of this many artificial ponds have been created. On an 1844-issued map Generalcharte von Ehstland the village has been shown as Sellimae. On an 1881-issued map Karte von Ehstland the place has been shown as Selli. In 1883 issued one of the first Estonian language map Eestimaa kaart (issued by Olevik newspaper) shows the name of the village also as Selli.

Aruküla is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Harju County, northern Estonia. It is the administrative centre of Raasiku Parish. Aruküla had a population of 2,113 on 1 January 2020. Aruküla has a station on the Elron's eastern route.

Revala (also Rävälä, Latin: Revalia, by Henry of Livonia Revele, by Danish Census Book Revælæ) was an Ancient Estonian county. It was located in northern Estonia, by the Gulf of Finland and corresponded roughly to the present territory of Harju County. It was conquered by the Danish in 1219 during the Estonian Crusade. It also contained the town of Lindanise, nowadays known as Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The Icelandic Njal's saga—composed after 1270, but describing events between the years 960 and 1020—mentions an event that occurred somewhere in the area of what is now Tallinn and calls the place Rafala. The toponym, Rafala, was probably a derivation of Rävala, or Revala, or some other variant of the locally used Estonian-language name for the adjacent medieval Estonian county.
